I would have thought that PAF is worth considerably more than 17p per share, unless some believe that the gold price will pull back.
I was expecting gold to pull back late last month, but the price could now head higher.

This pdf may help to put some detail on the Lily situation, I have not got time at the moment to really go through it but it gives the historic details.

do you think this is related? it's from the same article

Barbrook will undertake a project to recycle the Lily tailings dump, which was expected to recover 20kg of gold a month over eight months.

Yes, a sad tale at Vantage Gold's Lilly Mine.

I noted in my post 9458 that PAF picked up a small tailings deposit at Barberton with 40,000 ounces in it from Vantage in July 2016. I presume they didn't overpay in the circumstances and that they will be able to extract this gold cheaply as with the other tailings retreatment plants.

What is just as interesting is what PAF have not done...at least not so far. They have not bought the troubled Lilly mine, presumably because it's not a good commercial prospect. If so, this is an example of PAF implementing its policy of only entering projects that will definitely be strongly profitable.

Very well done indeed, you are a most dedicated investor here,
please continue to post.

The article what I read was very enlightening, we have the agm tomorrow
the 9th so maybe a update on SA issues.

Back above the 50dma, looking stronger.

33m shares approximately traded in the last few sessions, institutions
involved in this rise imho.

dyor ( as you do )

The thing that puts me off PAF is their website takes a while to load. Then when you browse news room there is no announcements for 2017. Then their announcements are a bit technical in terms of financial jargon and it isn't easy to read. Serious companies have decent websites and communicate information clearly?

My head says this is a good investment. My gut feeling is maybe its not run very well?

Spruce up the website and it will fly?

Added more here, strong fundamentals and surely undervalued, that's how markets work, they miss some and then when they are spotted they re-rate very strongly. This is a buy and hold in my book.

And I'd argue it is time to get defensive with a portfolio, added some BT.A too, boring but should weather a storm while paying a good dividend, I'm sure one's on the way, the markets are being too complacent.

We may soon hear that work has started on the Elikhulu Project.

It is interesting that the Uitkomst Colliery was singled out for mention in the most recent news release because of its recent significant contribution to earnings. Its success is important as it helps underpin future dividends.
