Wonderful. I never tire of looking at these photos and so many bring back happy memories.

Sadly,I think only Europeans truely apprciate many of these historic plasces- towns, villages, churches, castles and even the countryside.

Newtown is a town in Powys, Wales. It lies on the River Severn in the community of Newtown and Llanllwchaiarn, within the historic boundaries of Montgomeryshire. It was designated a new town in 1967 and saw population growth as firms settled, changing its market town character. Its 2001 population of 10,780 rose to 11,357 in the 2011 census, and rose again to 11,362 in the 2021 census.

Peterborough is a cathedral city in the City of Peterborough district in the ceremonial county of Cambridgeshire, England. The city is 74 miles (119 km) north of London, on the River Nene. As of the 2021 census, Peterborough had a population of 192,178, while the population of the district was 215,673.








The White Cliffs of Dover are the region of English coastline facing the Strait of Dover and France. The cliff face, which reaches a height of 350 feet, owes its striking appearance to its composition of chalk accented by streaks of black flint, deposited during the Late Cretaceous.

The building was originally formed around a tree trunk and was renovated in 1985 to expand the bar area into an outdoor courtyard and an extra room that was a former toyshop. The historic ale house has kept the original features immaculate while keeping its decor to a high standard for customers.

The premises is a Grade II listed building with a history dating back to the 14th century when it was constructed around a tree trunk. The original feature of the fireplace conceals a priest's hole, while the pub had its brewery at the rear until 1930 and is still preserved as a display. It was renovated in 1985 to expand the bar area into an open courtyard and a room that was previously used as a toyshop.

Cannock is a town in the Cannock Chase district in the county of Staffordshire, England. It had a population of 29,018. Cannock is not far from the towns of Walsall, Burntwood, Stafford and Telford. The cities of Lichfield and Wolverhampton are also nearby. Cannock lies to the north of the West Midlands conurbation on the M6, A34 and A5 roads and to the south of Hednesford and the Cannock Chase Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Cannock is served by a railway station on the Chase Line. The town comprises four district council electoral wards and the Cannock South ward includes the civil parish of Bridgtown, but the rest of Cannock is unparished.

Crewe is a railway town and civil parish in the unitary authority of Cheshire East in Cheshire, England.
