At the opening ceremony of the forum, which brought together more than a thousand lawyers, the Minister of Justice of the Republic of Uzbekistan Ruslanbek Davletov, Chairman of the American – Uzbekistan Chamber of Commerce Carolyn Lamm and others noted that reforms being carried out in Uzbekistan are recognized by the international community.

The legal system is being developed in accordance with the ongoing reforms. The forum will be of great importance in development of the sphere at the level of international standards


"In his speech, the Minister of Justice drew attention to the issue of the legal protection of investments and noted that every investor arriving in Uzbekistan should have legal protection. Taking advantage of the presence of a large number of lawyers, he stated that this is one of our main tasks. Every investor entering Uzbekistan with his investments should be well aware of the situation that awaits him. And this, that is, guarantees of legal protection, should be provided to investors by lawyers."

Lets see what more comes out from our appeal in the Paris Courts(don't think you can keep this one confidential).
Some poor pr will not help attract foreign investment and given Oxus Gold experiance companies are not likely to get any help from this AUCC if things go pear shaped...

Lamm must have had friends in high places to have been allowed to get away with stuff like this for so long.

Paid lobbyist and legal counsel to one of the most corrupt regimes in the world not to mention her association with Zeromax.

The stench of fraud, corruption and scandal seem to follow this woman around like a bad smell.

Lamm's tenure as President of the American Bar Association (appointed by Bill Clinton of the "pay-to-play" Clinton Foundation) seems to have gone down well in some quarters.





Interesting to note that one of her first acts as president of the ABA was to sack the management and bring in people of her own choosing so perhaps she continued to have control and influence even after her one year tenure was over.

Being a lawyer need not necessarily be about having a lack of integrity, as in all walks of life you can choose good over bad. Just that Lamm chose the wrong path.

Being a lawyer is not about integrity or even justice, it's all about winning for your client and making money, nothing more.

There's a lot more money to be made defending criminals then there is prosecuting them.

Its the journey, that's the best part of their lives when they get there people then only tell you what you want to hear and therefore a false environment is created, trust goes out the window and true friends are hard to come by.
Lamm IMO is the worst type of Human, she has no morals and disguises this by being a top Lawyer pretending to be on the side of right clearly lying to herself and all around her. IMHO her days are numbered and I hope she faces the very Law that made her.
