27/10/2015 00:27 | "The investigation of Zeromax’s finances was led by Uzbek Prime Minister Shavkat Mirziyayev. Though the results of the investigation were never made public, a court ordered Zeromax operations in Uzbekistan halted and instructed financial authorities to seize the company’s assets and property in Uzbekistan. Zeromax managing director Miradil Djalalov (a friend of Karimova’s), was questioned by the financial police, but only as a “witness.&rdqu Karimova, herself—who currently serves as Uzbekistan’s representative to the United Nations and its ambassador to Spain, and was named one of Switzerland’s 300 richest people in 2009[43]—has repeatedly denied owning Zeromax, despite contrary claims from numerous sources, including diplomatic cables published by Wikileaks.[44] Efforts to find official documents connecting Karimova to Zeromax have yet to turn up any solid evidence." Looks like ex-Zeromax holding in Oxus belongs to Uzbekistan (via Trident). | marmar80

27/10/2015 00:04 | sounds familiar? 14. (SBU) There have been reports that the Uzbek state has used its TASHKENT 00000027 004 OF 004 power in support of Karimova's private business interests, allowing her to bully competitors and to channel additional assets into personal entities such as Zeromax. In a lawsuit filed in federal court in Houston in 2007, a Texas-based tea company that operated in the Uzbek packaged tea market sued its insurer for failing to pay out on extortion and kidnap coverage after Karimova allegedly used her influence with the government to drive the company out of the country, even arresting or threatening to arrest company employees to force them to sign over assets. | marmar80

26/10/2015 20:41 | Nobull - good to hear from you, but sell 5,000 shares out of your 1.3million. Take £200 - and spend more than 15p on a meal ! | pennyfalls
26/10/2015 19:58 | Good to hear from you nobull, please return on the verdict day. It's great the L/T CLN aspect has been fully resolved, a pleasing result to prevent any crippling of the company during the end game. Plus with Darwin in place to bridge any gap between award/quantum and payment, the platform appears most ready. In the very near future we may learn more about the trident holding, nevertheless it's fascinating to see this play out especially given creeping expropriation is a complex matter; it's hardly surprising it's taken so long to arrive at a verdict ! News beckons. | giant steps
26/10/2015 18:53 | Agree wilf if a decision is reached unofficially prior to the official decision in the courts i reckon they'd suspend the shares, get the legals in place then announce and re- open the market just imo | maverick247

26/10/2015 18:33 | riskier - RS is well aware of that. He expressly stated att the most recent AGM that his biggest mistake in this whole saga was to state that the decision would be known by the end of 2014 and he basically said that he wouldn't make a mistake like that again. That leads me to believe that there must have been something material which led him to include his "very near future" language. I accept, of course, that it would have been far better if that had been followed by a glorious RNS within two weeks but nonetheless, having looked him in the eyes at the AGM I do think that he would not have included this statement but for some material comfort having been given to him. If he releases an RNS suggesting that he's sold a massive proportion of his shares then I'll feel different, of course! Maverick, I happen to think that your scenario is more likely than that there will be no suspension (following the CHL precedent) but others on here feel very differently. Only time will tell. GLA. DYOR. | wilfy75
26/10/2015 18:13 | Gail what if they suspend the shares when decision is finalised mms would then open it at the true price and you'd miss it? | maverick247
26/10/2015 17:53 | riskier, please don't misunderstand me, trader or investor? what do I care, your business is just that, your views as a poster are of interest as are others, end of. | gail rowbotham
26/10/2015 17:34 | I am in at 1.6p, here for 4 years, I am no trader. All I am saying is that RS should be careful what he says in an RNS, his first guess 'end 2014' was not right (by a long, long way), his second guess 'very near future' is not looking too good either. I still hold 1 million at 1.6p from 2011, still hopeful of a positive result. | riskier
26/10/2015 17:02 | whoops seems like traders are low life on here? as per findley, looks like a bit of serious growing up might be in order, no disrespect, but why make traders sound so bad?? I have read throught plenty on here in a similar vein, long term holders are a better breed than short term holders? findley how is a binary BET, investing? maytrees was being polite and helpful nothing more, yet is taken to task, weird people. | gail rowbotham |
