Nice 100k buy gone through, matching the one from yesterday. There was a big 230k sell yday also. I think the big seller is still selling... The good news is, they can only sell once!

That may be how it's meant to work, but large holders rarely do that, they only declare when they've finished buying or selling, which can take weeks or longer, and nothing happens to them. It's in their interests to disguise their transaction for as long as they can.In fact I've been in shares where there's been a large seller for months - look at AAZ for example about 7 or 8 years ago, a large seller drove the share price down from 200p to 3p, and never declared anything, although some posters had a good idea who it was. That's because large foreign holders (especially shady ones from Russia or China or the Stans) often don't declare, they know that the FSA rarely takes action against even British holders abusing the system, so what are they going to do against a foreign holders who's very hard to track down and even harder to enforce against? The stock market is a cesspit...

cyberbub, if he bought from an existing holder, they too should of declared by now, whether they are selling more or not!

Worth looking at the directors of ALN .. It’s basically owned and controlled by AH investment bank. I agreed about buying off market , but there are lots of loopholes on when a nominee company have to declare , so they could have been a holder above 3% -5% for some time

Forgot to declare because of his age? I know you're a genuine holder clangers, but that's a fairly silly thing to say.

At 83 years old, he most probably knows all about prostrate issues. If he took 9+% he may well be interested in more! If he took them from an existing holder they would need to disclose as well. It's possible, because of his age, he may have forgot to disclose when he passed the 3% threshold. If that's the case, he could of started buying from a long time ago

I agree he must have got all or most of the 9% from another large holder. If there is no other TR1 released today it means they're still selling and will declare when they're finished. I think it's either Odey (who are known to be winding down) or else Vulpes (who we know has been selling some, but I'd be surprised if he was selling so many). As you say this new guy seems a bit long in the tooth but he's clearly no idiot.

For anyone who missied last nights RNS - Abuthnot Latham Nominees take 9% stake

AL NomineessLtd has been dormant for 35 years with assets of £2 at last accounts

Abuthnot Latham has only one significant shareholder

1 active person with significant control

This chap owns the 56.3% interest in AL Nominees and is considered the controlling party

Sir Henry Angest

Sir Henry Angest (born 6 July 1940) is a Swiss-born London-based banker and political donor. He is the chairman and formerly chief executive officer of Arbuthnot Latham, a merchant bank in the City of London.

Not your usual ADVFN Mug Punter

Big dump late-reported there, and a biggish buy. Can't have been part of the 9% holding as that was completed on Friday. Could it be the last of a seller after the big rise from 10p?

I hold both. All shares have up and down days, just silly to boast about one having a better day than another! Also so uncouth to go onto other threads promoting your own book and trying to rubbish their's. I think OBD is a Gem, something you don't find very often on AIM, I'm holding here for the long haul, will add more when funds are available as well.

Dipped a bit, let's hope it holds above 30. A £60m cap for the enormous market that OBD has is not expensive IMO. And they're actually selling now, this is noy a jam-tomorrow, risky early stage pharma. Sales will be starting to climb rapidly, and there could be news soon about further sales agreements worldwide. Plus they have a lot of other valuable products under development. Cash OK for 6 months, but a further (probably modest) placing in Q2 2024 could be avoided if sales climb rapidly enough.DYOR etc
