16/8/2016 08:16 | Completely right Heron. Today's Joint Broker Announcement might well herald some big corporate developments. All to play for at £1.6m!!! It can treble from here and still be a bargain. | kiwimonk
15/8/2016 13:57 | so by all accounts this has a NAV of between £5m on investments and if you include the millions spent on defining kremnica and 1.29m oz gold £30million. i'm in for a few mill on friday. no brainer | heron80
12/8/2016 09:09 | That 25m was a buyInvestors are adding this up now and thinking CHEAP | kiwimonk
12/8/2016 08:59 | Mega pits are valuable wherever. Randgolds Kibali project for instance in drc . Angloashanti and many others have mines.Sure rand wouldn't mind getting their hands on it. | kiwimonk
12/8/2016 08:50 | Thanks for your input on Zamsort KM.On CASA, the problem is that South Kivu province is an utter hell-hole. Mining there carries some of the highest political risk on the planet. | shavian
12/8/2016 08:15 | Very nice deal. That gives OTC if they increase to 15% - over 545,000 net ounces to them en aggregate of projects in Casa. The DRC 2.3million ounce resource looks easily expandable. 3.5m or more. V valuable. This is Key: """The prospect is still open-ended along strike and down dip, which bodes well for CASA's aspirations to the development of this project and offers the potential for further increases in the resource."""" | kiwimonk
12/8/2016 08:08 | Good news is good news, which we need. | peterz
11/8/2016 18:15 | Shavian I was listening back on a Vassilious interview around the time of the Zamsort investment. His words were " This is Elephant Country " As in. Billion Tonne copper gold deposits. First Quantums Senitel 1.19 Billion Tonne project is only 40km away from Kabala's deposit. Hence why in the latest RNS he states, lots of interest from the mining community. 20% of a £100m + initial project could be rather fruitful for OTC. | kiwimonk
11/8/2016 13:53 | Here's some figure's worth thinking about : - Zamsort investment : 19.35% interest. $1.2m (£950k) invested. Looks very good value as they got in at the bottom of the market. Other shareholders in zam paid a lot higher price. Things afoot. maybe a float? or large company coming in. Andiamo Exploration : 25% interest. £10m share capital (confirmed by the accounts) = £2.5m So just taking these two companies we have at par value £3.45m. If either of these companies float and Andiamo was lining one up before the markets tumbled, the value could double treble. But as it is value of these two alone £3.45m . Mk cap £1.6m! Slovakia and Casa Mining in for free. Food for thought! dyor KM | kiwimonk
09/8/2016 12:48 | May work, may not. The market did not like it much. The wait goes on, but I'm not topping up. | shavian
09/8/2016 07:27 | ORTAC RESOURCES LTD ("ORTAC" OR THE "COMPANY") Zamsort Update Ortac Resources Ltd ("Ortac"), the AIM listed exploration and mine development company, advises that it has exercised its right and issued a request to Zamsort Limited ('Zamsort') to convert the Secured Convertible Loan Notes (as announced on 30 March 2015) and the No.2 Loan Notes (as announced on 25 August 2015), into 19.35% of the issued share capital of Zamsort. Zamsort has advised the Company that they may wish to make changes to their share capital structure in order to facilitate further funding. This matter is at present under discussion. Ortac has advised Zamsort that it would be cooperative should a reorganisation be of benefit to the financing of Zamsort, and in the best interests of Ortac and its shareholders. Vassilios Carellas, Ortac's CEO, commented: "Since Ortac entered into the funding arrangement with Zamsort at the end of March last year, a significant amount of progress has been made, with Zamsort being on the cusp of completing its initial commercial scale demonstration plant to produce copper and cobalt. Furthermore, we can confirm that the exploration ground is in our view highly prospective. This is borne out by the significant interest that has been generated from the mining community." About Ortac Resources Ortac Resources is an AIM listed exploration and development company focused on natural resource projects. The Company's flagship asset is the 1.32 million ounce gold project in Slovakia. It has also diversified its portfolio through its strategic investment in Andiamo Exploration Limited, a private company with gold and copper exploration projects in Eritrea; Zamsort Limited, a private company with copper and cobalt licenses in Zambia and CASA Mining Limited, a private company with 1.2 million ounce gold project in the Democratic Republic of Congo. About Zamsort Limited Zamsort is a private Zambian registered company. The Kalaba Cu-Co Project, 100% owned by Zamsort and located approximately 900 km from Lusaka, in Mwinilunga, North Western Province, is well within the trending arm of the major geological structure known as the Lufilian Arc (copper belt), on the western flank of the Kabompo Dome. The project consists of a 4km2 Small-Scale Mining Licence ('SML') over the Kalaba Cu-Co mineral resource enclosed within a 999.28km2 Large Scale Prospecting Licence ('LPL'). This was previously explored by Equinox Minerals Limited ('Equinox') and Anglo American Prospecting Services ('AAPS') by way of the Zambezi Joint Venture ('JV') through AAPS's affiliate Zamanglo Prospecting Ltd ('Anglo American') during the late 1990s as part of the Kabompo Property. The current LPL encompasses 7 of the top 10 high priority exploration targets identified through the JV prior to Anglo American exiting the country in 2001. In order for Zamsort to maintain the SML in good standing it has undertaken seasonal mining from the oxide copper resource exposed on surface. Zamsort has estimated that approximately 70,000 tonnes of material has been mined to date from Kalaba. At present, it has estimated that it has approximately 33,000 tonnes of screened ore grading at 3.5% ASCu stockpiled on site and ready to be shipped and toll treated at one of the local facilities in the copper belt where non-exclusive off-take agreements are already in place. The estimated Kalaba Cu-Co oxide resource of 16.59Mt @ 0.94% Cu equivalent is exposed on surface and has been generated in-house by Zamsort's Chief Geologist. Although the resource has been registered by Zamsort with the Geological Survey and Ministry of Mines in Zambia, at present it is not considered to be code compliant. Zamsort has started the construction of a commercial scale demonstration plant expected to produce copper cement (precipitated copper) and cobalt hydroxide filter cake from the Kalaba Cu-Co resource in the SML. | someuwin
02/8/2016 09:38 | peterz. It certainly has. Yet many Gold related stocks have declined 90% and of course many Major producers were battered beyond all sensibility- so that is all more about the worst "sentiment" in 30+ years than any fundamentals. The rule of thumb usually is(when sentiment changes)- which it is starting to !! Major producers up first Then Juniors Then eventually Gold anything. So now it is for Management to show the Market its other investments are worthy of attention whilst many then accept that Slovakia is valued at 0. Zero value for Slovakia is somewhat harsh, yet it doesn`t go below 0,so let`s just forget about it whilst the possibilities that it has beyond 0 value and possibly huge value is just the cream on the cake. If we buy a House that is an absolute bargain at the price asked, and the Estate Agent says there are rumours that there is a bag of Gold hidden in the Garden ,do we throw a hissy fit and say that is total hogwash,or just look forward to digging in the Garden of our bargain. | richgit
01/8/2016 18:26 | rg - really hope you are right. However they have managed to block us so far. and the impact on share price has been…….w | peterz
31/7/2016 17:48 | Paterz. Gold is about to become more important than when used as the Gold standard. The idea that these few locals can stop something of such huge importance is somewhat laughable. | richgit
31/7/2016 15:09 | To make any money in companies like OTC you need to, as in otc's case buy in when the share price is around the .025 level and sell out on any spike up.. These kind of companies arn't for long term investment, unless you're stuck in them from an higher level. Obvious but true. | grannyboy
31/7/2016 13:30 | It's all about the new projects and how they are in for free in this. Slov is a huge £30million upside shot with a better than 50/50 odds. I expect the board will continue to add exploration and hopefully producing properties, they are well connected in the mining universe. | kiwimonk
31/7/2016 10:11 | Hi richgit - and might we be a wannabee one day? I guess the biggest problem is getting the village/Slovakia on side. without permission we don't have a chance! | peterz
30/7/2016 12:41 | Some of the Majors have soared from their ludicrous bottoms and they will continue to soar over the years now that the fuse to momentum has has been lit. Then Junior producers and then eventually - arguably Gold anything. As Market Caps for others soar to the stratosphere all will become a comparable pro-rata. US debt to rise from $19 Trillion to $29 Trillion as the years of debt and debt printing will continue in one format or other pushing the World`s reserve currencies ever closer to their 0. "Real Money" will become very short in supply ie: Gold & Silver and then leading down to Platinum & Palladium. Get your vaulted paid for Gold & Silver whilst it is available, plus a spread risk across several Gold/Silver producers and then a pick of the wannabees, that could absolutely fly over time !!! IMHO | richgit
24/7/2016 22:18 | Hmm so 97% down how many do I need to buy to get my money back!! | peterz
22/7/2016 16:54 | BSG - Holding is down 97.8%!!! So The share price would need to at least 20 Bag for the old holding to break even. Having averaged down significantly at these low levels though, a 10 Bag from here would see overall profit. Which looks a pretty fair bet to me. £20m mk cap could well happen, and a whole lot more if Slovakia is good to go in a years time. Good Luck One And All. & make sure to DYOR No advice intended, just thoughts from a stock picker. KM | kiwimonk
22/7/2016 16:07 | Although there seem to be other options now, the big question for me is will ~Slovakia ever be on-line. | peterz
22/7/2016 15:03 | KW do you need it to 20 bag like peterz needs, unless he averages down? Do you think it will 20 bag? | bsg
22/7/2016 14:48 | BSG we all have stinkers and write offs. This is not one. It's been the worst most severe down turn in the mining industry for many a decade, sentiment was at it's very lowest. Chairman Balme has a lot of skin in this. Adds in all placings. We are now in a bull market for precious metals, one that has real legs. The upswing will come for OTC as it has actual Gold In Ground, assets in Zambia, DRC, Eritrea and the main humdinger of 1.3m ounces of gold in Slovakia. Each to his own. But having been 'in' OTC for over 5 years I know also the pain. But a new upswing in PM's and Trillions of Debt owed by governments will see spectacular returns for those brave enough to have a broad averaging down policy. all in my own opinion. Good Luck KM | kiwimonk
22/7/2016 14:29 | Thank you both. Was just hoping some way of getting something back by averaging down, but this is often lost money venture. ps got lots of stocks waiting to be the tax write off for eventual profit lol. Been waiting for years lol. | peterz |
