Newmont only forge relationships with Juniors where they think, following work carried out by them, that the prize will at least be 5m plus ozs. Remember they acquired only 250000 shares in June and exactly 3 months later in September 19.9% . None of us are privy to the work they must have performed in those 3 months which led them to increase their stake in Omi. Juniors can only dream of world's major player enter into farm in agreement with them.Trust L1's research ;-)

Newmont are very picky about who they invest in. They would have done their research before buying into OMI. The fact they bought in suggests they like what they found. This is why i invested in OMITrust L1

Hey Augustus, do you have any tips. I would imagine if a company you think is weeks away from the receiver is up 20%, the shares you actually like would be amazing?

Last year, forward looking statements were qualified by:

"Such statements are subject to significant risks and uncertainties, and actual results and future events could differ materially from those anticipated in such statements. Forward-looking statements include, without limitation success of exploration activities; permitting time lines; the failure of plant; equipment or processes to operate as anticipated; accidents; labour disputes; requirements for additional capital title disputes or claims and limitations on insurance coverage."

-----------------

Since the administrator took over, they are qualified by:

"The Company's continuance as a going concern is dependent upon its ability to obtain adequate financing and to reach profitable levels of operations. These material uncertainties may cast significant doubt upon the Company's ability to realize its assets and discharge its liabilities in the normal course of business and accordingly the appropriateness of the use of accounting principles applicable to a going concern. Although the Company has been successful in the past in obtaining financing there is no assurance that it will be able to obtain adequate financing in future or that such financing will be on terms advantageous to the Company."

------------

Clearly stating that to continue as a going concern - they need to obtain adequate finance.

Here - the Company is OMI it is NOT Loryser!

Have a strong feeling one of the parties in discussion with OMI to take further Equity stake was Continental who got trumped by Newmont who offered a bigger premium. Just my own guess. Coz Continental already has seen such robust economics from Buritica. AISC of $492/oz is in the lowest quartile and could go down further due to the high Gold grades. Anza being on same rich Gold belt should display very similar project economics being just 50km away. Very much looking forward to Dec feasibility report for ANZA. In the meantime, this for me is:Buy, Accumulate & Hold.Strong BuyReply to post

Funny how the trolls don't mention bankruptcy on the LSE board ? It's because it's a false statement that doesn't affect Orosur and there posts would be removed for being false unlike on ADVFN where the trolls can post any bullshi7 :-D

Great post on LSE - Thu 08:03 Price: 5.50MisterPositive 13,732 postsRE: Worth another readProfessor,Exactly. Some do not understand it and keep mixing it up with Orosur. Operations have always been at Uruguay subsidiary where they have been operating profitably for so many years as seperate legal entity. Need to reduce their unit cost there and Gold price to increase to get back to profitability. At Anza (Colombia) its only been Exploration work for which Feasibilty report has now been commissioned to highlight the project economics which look pretty robust going by Buritica as proxy with only AISC $492/oz. Anza should display very robust economics.Strong BuyReply to post

RE: Anza looks to be a monsterWas doing some research and just found out that ANZA was originally owned jointly by Continental Gold along with other Vendors. Waymar Resources bought ANZA from them back in 2010 and commenced drilling, finding High grade Gold in VMS style mineralisation. Orosur then bought ANZA from Waymar Resources back in 2014. Wonder if Continental Gold was among those interested parties looking to get back in ANZA before getting trumped by Newmont who paid the highest premium at the time. Continental Gold's Buritica is just 50km from ANZA on the same rich Gold belt....who knows if they are both connected and part of one giant mega gold deposit. This story could get very interesting in coming months but I still think this is a done deal....,Newmont going to take over both Continental Gold and Orosur in next 12 months.
