There is a figure I forget Richgit, but it is i think something like :
globally, out of total invested assets only 2% is in gold.
So there really will be a gigantic storm of money blowing up the price of gold to levels none of us can imagine now, as investors shift their money into gold, even just 10% of their portfolio to accommodate the inevitable scramble for PM's will see stock prices soar that will make the dotcom boom seem tame.

What did Baden Powell always say?!

:))

I`m hiding under the bed.

They cannot allow Paper Gold to disintegrate too fast as the consequences would be enormous.

If they don`t engineer some absurd Jobs report,or something like another IMF Gold selling scare nonsense, then We have to wonder what is the coming game plan.

Did JP Morgan back off from the Silver manipulation or just putting together a Daisycutter.

As always-answers will be hindsight, yet there will be no stopping the Physical Gold Express no matter what temporary blockages they put on line.

We merely judge the assumed debts that assetless Paper IOU`s try to support,
whilst JP Morgan would have us believe that a $Quadrillion of derivatives simply
nett off.

Why I suggested many months ago that Deutsche could go bust.

Warren does not agree, and he is only talking about a micro fraction....

Warren Buffet famously referred to these instruments as “financial weapons of mass destruction.”
He reiterated his perspective in a more recent interview:

“I regard very large derivative positions as dangerous.
We inherited a modest sized position at [Berkshire’s reinsurance vehicle] Gen Re in a benign market and we lost about $400m just trying to unwind it with no pressure on us whatsoever.
So I think it does continue to be a danger to the system.”

If Warren lost a mere $400 Million - Then the word is not dangerous -but Catastrophic !!!

Another nonsense that "must" be stopped in this lunatic over leveraged Financial Disaster.

This is the second attempt at the 20p barrier. If it does not get through now it will surely get through on the third attempt. Any short term weakness will be a buying opportunity. However, I have a feeling it will bust through.

OMI

Looks like it is brewing for the big move past 20p resistance

Gold on the up and getting close to 52 week highs

Stampede to get in as 52 week highs on gold breaks is my guess

FROM June proactive investor's site

' Also notable, the group succeeded in getting all-in sustaining costs (AISC) of production below US$1,000 an ounce, and the plan is to keep it below that level for the rest of the financial year - to end May.

AISC came in at US$978 an ounce compared to US$1,132 per ounce in the same period a year earlier and the US$1,095 an ounce in the preceding quarter.

The quarter also saw the group fully repay a Santander loan, leaving it practically debt-free.

Uruguay's only producing gold mine....

The firm operates the San Gregorio mine in Uruguay, which produced 60,000 ounces of the yellow metal in the 13.14 year at US$792 per ounce. It has a 222,000 ounce reserve at a grade of 2.37 g/t.'

Bodes well I think going forward to results.

My own EPS forecast for omi's financial year ending May 2018 is a rather more conservative 6p based on an average gold price of $1300. A fairly miserly earnings multiple of 12 would yield a share price target of 84p.

p.s. The header indicates there are 78m shares in issue but I think it is close to 100m when stock options etc are included.

The broker sees a small profit of around US$400,000 when the miner reports shortly for the year just ended, but this jumps to US$11.3mln in 2017, with net cash rising to US$18mln a year later.

$11.3m profit equates to £8.5m sterling at the current exchange rate and 8p EPS.

Of course, it is all dependent on the gold price.

They're totally unhedged also. I would like to see some hedging at $1500 though. Gold could have a bit of a pullback from that level.

Up 15% on a day when the gold price is falling and the market is falling. Love it, some very good news coming here IMO. Could be Don Tito with substantial new gold reserves, Columbia partner found, guesses on a postcard!!
