29/10/2015 18:12 | Not sure - but we've still got a good 12 months for it to turn around. At these prices you would think some of the weaker competition would start to flounder soon . | 12vic
29/10/2015 17:40 | From share price Angel's commentary on Proactive today: Tungsten - APT European prices $165-185/mtu vs $170-190/mtu last week – when will this fall in tungsten prices end? | steelwatch
29/10/2015 13:12 | Thanks steelwatch. | frost1
29/10/2015 08:56 | Thanks for posting the article Steelwatch. Ormonde should develop well despite the current commodity position. Good to see the author captures all the elements that support its growth. | 12vic
28/10/2015 22:29 | frost1- yes. See slide 9 | steelwatch
28/10/2015 21:27 | Will ormonde make a profit at present tungsten prices? | frost1

28/10/2015 19:24 | Thanks Steelwatch - its a good upbeat article - just what we need at the moment. Lets hope it brings in new investors and a rising share price!! | dolores123
28/10/2015 18:55 | Why invest? #ORM Ormonde Mining on track for first tungsten by end 2016 - @OrmondeMining via @proactive_uk | steelwatch
28/10/2015 18:10 | Dear Proactive Investor, We all know the mining industry is cyclical, and it must be good to enter the market just as others are pulling out. That’s the happy position that tungsten producer Wolf Minerals finds itself in, and at the rate competitors are withdrawing from the market to lick their wounds, it may soon be the largest tungsten producer in the world, outside of China and Russia. As Philip Whiterow reports, the company is pulling out all the stops, trying out what I believe the kids call 24/7 operating at its Hemerdon mine down in Devon. On the subject of tungsten, Ormonde Mining could soon be joining Wolf as a producer, writes our mining maven, Alastair Ford. Mining at its Barruecopardo asset should restart soon, as all of the key components fall into place. There is plenty of news on the heavy hitters today, though not all of it is that surprising. | liquid millionaire
28/10/2015 09:08 | Made another small buy this morning. Will probably stop here and hold out as have built up over last few weeks 1.7 - 1.9. Still think these should do well from this pricing. At least 12-18 month window for the Tungsten price to turn. | 12vic
22/10/2015 18:45 | Interesting post steelwatch. Orm published production costs of 104 mtu in feasibility. How accurate this is will have to wait for production. Any thoughts on yesterday's trade volumes all buys? | 12vic
21/10/2015 17:21 | Tungsten - APT European prices $175/195 /mtu vs $180/200 /mtu – 1/3rd of Chinese production is thought to have been shut with remaining production around $170/mtu • The market is still working through tungsten and other minor metal stocks held on the Fanya Exchange and used for financing purposes | steelwatch
20/10/2015 18:23 | @ 12vic.......... agree completely with your sound analysis in a good, succinct post. Good luck and best rgds. END | dyfiman
20/10/2015 17:21 | One of the buys was mine as I'm still building a holding. If you look at the oaktrees deal from the perspective of a new investor at the current share price and tungsten price it actually looks a good deal.I appreciate the market reacted badly at the time but given how commodities have moved since, the very fact the deal was completed shows the tight margins of success and failure in cyclical sectors. How many other junior companies will achieve more than simply mothballing projects in the current climate let alone achieving a 100 million investment. In a way with the price of tungsten so low at the moment but the funding already in place you can see how this might create a perfect storm around Orm. With relatively few competitors likely to achieve similar funding to come online and some older projects being mothballed as economically unviable there is an opportunity to grab a bigger market share going forward. | 12vic
20/10/2015 15:56 | RE £800+ of ORM shares bought today....... Well, if it's none of the above flashing the cash, can we conclude that there's new blood that sees merit in Orm's mining portfolio? Can be a good thing only........ with around 12 months or so to endure before matters get really juicy. NOTE:- good to see you guys digging in to a share that was recently viewed by some as a dead duck. Rgds all.... Dyfi. END | dyfiman
20/10/2015 15:26 | With the recent carnage over the last number of months in the stock markets...I think investors which have dumped various shares are looking to find a home in another stock which has upside potential. This makes Ormonde look attractive. We must be at bottom now?I am keen to buy back in but finances are still tight atm. | admiral jellicoe
20/10/2015 15:03 | not me either but the very low price is obviously tempting some people in!! | dolores123
20/10/2015 14:55 | dyfi - not I | steelwatch
20/10/2015 14:39 | OK....... own up you ORMERS who've been buying shares today. Is it you Dolores, or Steelwatch..... or Big Bobby even ???? Dyfiman is curious !!!!!!!! And jealous as have no funds. Boo ha !! Rgds all Dyfi. END | dyfiman
19/10/2015 18:28 | Thanks Dolores - Initially I had some concerns around the additional loan facility but given that repayments appear to split 70/30 this may turn out less of a burden than originally thought. Also buying in at this price must undercut oaktrees investment in terms of price per share equivalent. I have to confess I. Have slowly been buying these up over the last week.1.7 to 1.8 range. | 12vic
19/10/2015 07:59 | 12vic - nice post. Ormonde's early move to prove up the underground reserves could well result in its 30% holding in the original pit mine (10 year life) being more like equivalent to 50% of the original which would be more respectable. Hoping for decent progress reports over the next 12 months and a rise in the tungsten price. I have no upto date calcs I'm afraid but believe the share price to be very oversold. | dolores123
17/10/2015 21:05 | I know this has dropped off a lot of people's radar recently but I have been in and out previously and watching for a long time. I sold my last set of orm shares at breakeven when these were around 6p as I needed the money for other things. Last week i decided to get back in and luckily bought the day before the most recent rise. The more I look at these, the more obvious an investment it becomes at the current price. The funding to production is in place, and perhaps the most reassuring is that moves are already starting (and further funded) to increase the mine life before production has even begun. One way to look at it is even if you choose to sell these shares just at the point the mine comes to production you should be in profit(from current price). As the development steps up we should see small incremental rises. The worst thing that can happen here is that the price of Tungsten could drop dramatically - always a risk , but from today's price wouldn't most bet it was more likely to rise ? What is certain though is that there is no short term fear of dilution. Looking at the engineering company that's been appointed I'd say there's every likelihood of proposed time scales being met. hxxp://www.fairport. Has anyone done any calculations around price per share based on the movement of the tungsten price or an increase in mine life? | 12vic
14/10/2015 13:02 | @ Steelwatch....... yes... am a Taff from Mid-Wales originally and domiciled for many years in Cardiff. Currently suffering nose and throat aches so even Bristol is a trip too far. UUgggrhh. !!! Rgds. END | dyfiman |
