For me this bears uncomfortable similarities to BGL, where the company had a first class resource but the share price was manipulated down to next to nothing before the company was taken over at a derisory price. Most of the LTH's lost out heavily.
I hope history isn't repeating itself with ORM.

Longterm holders certainly deserve some good news, a new bidder offering 7p a share would be nice, a good place to start the bidding! Otherwise I can see alot more patience being needed, current price of Tungsten not helping. But longterm If anybody were to buy orm for around 10p a share they would be getting good value if they think price of tungsten is going over $400.

Thanks for that Digger. We don't know if ORM did persue such a deal - perhaps they found no takers - but they sure had enough time to look around. My impression is they moved in haste.

Just got to hope now that the Oaktree deal is liked by the market or that a bidder offers something over 6p or so?

Dolores: Not talking about an "offtake agreement" but a "forward sales agreement" whereby the trader pays now at an agreed price for future production. They are common enough in the industry and I wonder why ORM have not concluded something similar with one of the major minerals / commodity trading houses?

Offtake agreements are only a piece of paper that only helps if bank finance was being sort and as part of a feasibility study. They cost nothing and no payments are made to the company whilst a forward sales agreement could provide development capital.

Big difference.

offtake is we will take whatever production you come up with and here is the price over and above standard MTU. No reason they would nt look at holding a big chunk of equity?? keeps everybody honest

We already have an offtake agreement with Noble.

Presumably ORM asked Noble for financing of some sort but came up dry.

Noble are traders as far as I recall. we have not seen the Oaktree deal yet.

roykeane2 - Then ORM should do a forward sales agreement with Noble and get the development funding from them. Anything has got to be better than the Oaktree giveaway.

few tungsten deals happening at the moment so you never know but we have our own deal on the table.

granto2 the point i am making is that if Noble need the end product so badly and clearly they do, it may be worth them being a quiet bidder for the company and I would more than happy for them to do that as it keeps everybody honest

to be fair the delays that held them back were more to do with the Spanish. Ormonde have pushed on swiftly once they had the permits.
