18/12/2013 14:07 | So deep in the money puts I would just accept the shares for cash. Unless you don't have enough cash of course. The spreads are high, even more with a very illiquid option such as UU. So close to expiry the MMs will have you over a barrel; they know you come calling. I would accept the shares, sell new total time value on a 600 or 640 next week. And sell the shares in a little run up. Or keep them till divi time. The shares can be new collateral anyhow. Luckily my many Dec 640s look like expiring at zero value. | zastas
18/12/2013 12:10 | Click on the ADVFN UU financial information for historical dates; 2014 probably not yet available but it will be close to the June options date. | alphorn
18/12/2013 12:08 | Does anyone know the UU. June-14 ex-divi date. I'm just wondering where to roll dec.720 puts. Thanks for any info you may have. | piano man
16/12/2013 07:37 | Indeed Alp. A weaker GBP suits my purposes. | profitaker
13/12/2013 14:43 | Numis raises target price from 180p to 300p and keeps a buy recommendation. Bring it on! | nigelmoat
13/12/2013 14:40 | Numis raises | nigelmoat
13/12/2013 12:04 | Profit - no doubt you are still watching GBP; moving a bit and could move more over the thin trading period at Christmas. | alphorn
12/12/2013 12:47 | So far so good; SSE has its expected little rally, and I am now likely to escape the Dec ones. Next the March written ones. Trying to sell some 260 MRW; not a favourite but at least some regular reward for my capital. Watching RBS again. | zastas
12/12/2013 08:51 | closed 2x sse dec 1400P/1300P @ -77STO 2x Jun 1200P @ + 29.5 | harvester
03/12/2013 17:57 | zastas: my dec 1400 puts have been under pressure for a while . Luckily covered by long 1300P ; some already rolled to Jun 1200P and some spreads closed for debit leaving some more short spreads . Long-term still confident . "Milli"s moves are short-term political maneuvring . Unsustainable since the country badly needs more investments in the energy sector . | harvester
03/12/2013 12:20 | Rolled 5x further Tesco puts to June for net credit of 15p ahead of the figures this Thursday. They are not likely to be good. | alphorn
30/11/2013 11:10 | My 1300 SSE puts are coming under pressure. Even the Dec ones I may have to roll. Hoping for an at least temporary take-off once 1300 or so is reached. | zastas
29/11/2013 13:21 | BTC 10x Tesco Dec 340P for 5.25/5.5p and STO 5x June 340P for 19.75p Part of a multiple position that will be net bearish into 2014. | alphorn
26/11/2013 13:20 | 160 seller cleared finally? | peterclo
26/11/2013 10:51 | BTC 20x Lloy March 60P for 0.75p and STO 30x June 72P for 4.25p. | alphorn
22/11/2013 11:03 | zastas welcome to the thread. I would agree that equity market risks are appreciable after the prolonged run-up . If a big crash comes, property may suffer as well but at least there is real value , not just pieces of paper or unreliable counter-party risk . Meanwhile the world debt clock is ticking . | harvester
21/11/2013 13:11 | lots of volume in both directions it seems. No movement as yet. Very narrow range the last 3-4 | peterclo
21/11/2013 09:13 | Made a couple of buys around 0855, both of which went through on isdx: | zedder
21/11/2013 08:49 | Well results look ok and share price going in right direction with some big buys this morning. | nigelmoat
21/11/2013 08:48 | Courtesy to say I won't be taking a position here. Results were slightly better than forecast, revenues marginally ahead of rebased forecasts & EBITDA of $9.2m also slightly higher the the $8.6m consensus forecasts, with cashflow better & net debt down. However (there had to be) I thought there would be some further visibility on Daytona orders...there is plenty of talk but no hard info contained in the statement other than previously mentioned corporate orders won & blurb about increasing penetration littering the statement. Also note that Tx device under pressure and I suspect that is due to entry of Heidelberg Engineering who are promoting their device aggressively. All things considered, decent company but I expect that current year forecasts may be pared back slightly. Regards, GHF | glasshalfull
20/11/2013 21:22 | Thanks for the link ghf very useful, and yes the trade shows up there. Well here's hoping for a good forward looking statement and good luck to you. | nilla159
20/11/2013 18:24 | Ghf, yes I am interested too. Funny, I wa just thinking that 12.0p is achievable. Not ready to jump until I see the bottom line. I have one or two concerns that should hopefully be resolved tomorrow. | wylecoyote
20/11/2013 17:41 | I'm also casting my eye here nilla. The quieter the thread the better ;-) IMS & year end trading update more bullish in tone. Importantly they reported improved cashflow & identified cost savings, while the sales of Dayton devices was at the higher end of expectations which augurs well for revenue streams moving forward. A few more corporate accounts or traction in other geographic locations would also be welcomed. Tomorrow's outlook statement is all important (of course) & if positive then allied to current expectations of c.12p EPS in the current year would mark these out as good value at present shareprice IMHO. FWIW Canaccord reiterated buy rating on 15/11/13: Canaccord Genuity reissued their buy rating on shares of Optos & currently have a £2.48 target price. As for trade data...have you looked over at the secondary market offered by ISDX? Always worth a check. Link below. Hope it work out well... I may join you ;-) Regards, GHF | glasshalfull
20/11/2013 17:10 | Results thursday could be OK. I bought a load today but they have not shown up on the trading chart.Could it be they want to keep PI in the dark? Why should it be a secret when somebody buys or sells? gla Brian. | nilla159
16/11/2013 12:06 | Seems a good time to rotate money from bonds especially, and equity too, into physical property ownership; just don't leverage too much. Lending on secondary and tertiary commercials is still very limited or difficult AFAICT. So good yields available still. There remains plenty on offer in auctions. Surely this 4 year bull equity market must sooner or later get a severe shock; even with the QE-ers showing no sign of retrenching quickly. I now only dare to sell some cautious OTM puts on big tickets. | zastas |
