26/4/2017 20:29 | Pglancy Arh, thank you. See what you mean now...ha ha. Elrico! Nice one but did you have use that expression? Knickers in a twist? Don't know where you heard that from! What a hoot, love it! But good for you writing to him, and at least he's bothered to reply, so great result! | joyjoy13
26/4/2017 20:28 | I find the comment made earlier about SOH turning down the chance to appear in an article (guessing the Daily Mail) about losing x amount of weight in two weeks (because it's against our principles) to be rather naive. Surely if you have a product that you want to sell in large quantities this is exactly the sort of article we want to appear in to garner interest? It's great that he has principles; but I can't see such an article doing any damage... | ![]() f3rdinand

26/4/2017 19:54 | Hi pglancy Unfortunately I'm not registered for share prophets, you couldn't possibly cut and paste the article could you? I'm intrigued to say the least... | joyjoy13

26/4/2017 19:46 | The quote is from elrico on the other thread. i didnt copy the link because you would see it because you say you filtered him. I think your opinion of profit tme frame is rather pessimistic and doubt you believe it anyway. Why would it take another 4 to 5 years when the cost of the plc is just 1.2m a year? even without the new lpl launch opti could be profitable within the company estimated time. You are allowing your contempt for tw and elrico get in the way of facts. | ![]() pglancy
26/4/2017 19:43 | With regards the III article I posted the other evening, I was fully aware it would push some folk into selling because of the quoted time scales. But, as far as I was concerned, those timescales where what I expected so it wasn't a shock. But I post any article I find, I call that giving folks the opportunity to make an informed decision rather then filtering the article that may or may not suit my point of view. I love getting folk to discuss stuff, gets the brain working and opens up all points of view. | joyjoy13
26/4/2017 19:35 | It's not out of context pglancy. I have supplied the link in post 1210. Where is the link to your quote btw? although it actually dovetails with a 24-36 month timeline for meaningful revenues. "You won’t get a reasoned view of SALES POTENTIAL until you have at least 12-18 months sales." Note potential sales. SOH never even mentions potential PROFITS. Imo you'll be lucky to see any profits within a 4/5 year timeframe (if at all of course). As an aside, without huge marketing spend, I cannot see GoFigure being successful. If they don't provide massive spend on marketing then sales will rapidly tail off in a hugely competitive market place imo. | ![]() michaelmouse
26/4/2017 19:34 | So it's good news all round. Great to know profitability is on the horizon.... Of course, the share price in the short term will react to reflect the duller financial fortunes than what some expected based on 2015's talk about imminent big deals,& consequent financial success ....remember ?!. These successes of course have merely been postponed, as those of us who grasp - & understand - the complexities involved, well know. The inevitable share price retracement , which for the believer is of no consequence, merely reflects the true period of pre-profitability discounting that'll be needed; the increased risk of competitive action; & the increased theoretical risk of financial failure. It's the science I'm interested in. (I like the way that 'partnering' & 'commercialisation' are now presented as a logical sequence when in 2015 they were one & the same).Meanwhile it'll be great to hear more about SOH keeping the show on the road from time to time. Thanks to the posters who report back here. | ![]() dogwalker
26/4/2017 19:21 | Was there a further share prophets article? If so, could someone copy it over? Thanks | joyjoy13
26/4/2017 19:18 | Wow, another eventful day here with the comments, most appreciated, all views accepted as they keep the balance but I can assure you, I'm not looking at OPTI with rose tinted glasses. I always said it was a long term investment for me...I mean years if not ultimately hold onto for ever! In my humble opinion, SOH has delivered ! Some folk got no idea how long things take, folk want instant results these days. I really feel this is sorting out the traders from the investors and I'm grateful that those who've been honest enough to say their selling or reducing, well, that's fair enough and I totally agree we can't all be in that position to leave an investment in the red for the long periods of time. But hand on heart, I'm not selling, yes, if drops again, will just buy few more. I'm really looking long term, I've invested for donkeys years and made some fantastic profits but also my fair share of disasters ! But never have I come across a share with so much potential and is actually making headway! What is it, four companies potentially... I'm here for good. I'd like to think one day this will even produce dividends, but that's definitely not on the cards I know at this moment in time. Anyhow, I wish everybody all the best with their investments, I truly do. | joyjoy13
26/4/2017 18:40 | TT out of interest what would your interpretation of material news include? | ![]() riskybusiness1
26/4/2017 18:15 | another good quote There will not be massive orders but a progressive increase in sales which in the first year will be interspersed with peaks and troughs depending on the reporting periods for partners supply or royalty payments and partner performance. Typically about 10 partners 3-4 do really well, 3 middling and the remainder need changing. This mean that typically you won’t get a reasoned view of sales potential until you have at least 12-18 months sales. An example of this is the GoFigure sales and then Tata, both will contribute to revenues in different periods and cycles of start up phases. Common sense needs to be applied here. | ![]() pglancy

26/4/2017 18:11 | 24/36 months?? So 2019/20??......taken literally and out of context. I took this to mean, "meaningful revenues" from "established product lines." | ![]() pglancy
26/4/2017 18:06 | Elrico,Just my point of view mate. What seems like great RNS has little or no impact on price. In my experience this usually catches up as the market gets tierd of waiting for material news. Just very careful and trying to be pragmatic. That's me done for now...;-) | talkingtrade
26/4/2017 17:41 | Profit in 2018. Read the recent Yorkshire Post article - looks like they spoke with SOH.Spike is right, at last years investors presso, SOH stated profit in 2018 and the share price subsequently suffered (temporarily).Way oversold now - this should bounce back over the next few days. | ![]() parob

26/4/2017 17:33 | [...] "The next stage is the critical phase," he added. "Probably not the next 12 months, but the next 24-36 months is where we get our products on the market, get established and start building revenues from those products. "Retail investors want you to have revenues of a million pounds and it just doesn't work like that. It's about building things up properly – and if it was a million pounds then I'd be concerned because it just doesn't stack up in terms of the way things work." Keep up on the other thread. The above is an SOH quote and he isn't even talking about profits. It's revenues he's talking about. | ![]() michaelmouse |
