I second that Parob, Per said the same to me.IMO its hard not to be impressed by SoH, The guy is as sharp as a tac, knows the science inside out and has an incredible business brain. I've met dozens of CEO's over the years but SoH really stands out, which is why i trust him with a significant portion of my wealth

Re 22695 from deep p, on the free shares, he reckons NOT retrospective , so by that token he will just announce on the day, sometime very soon and you will have to then hold the shares until a future date, in order to qualify , I don't know if that is right. If so, then anyone not holding , should perhaps buy and hope in anticipation of benefitting.

A great overview there Deeppockets. Just to add SOH said the other divisions could be floated this or next year.I spoke at length to both Per and Christina, who are both very excited about this space and their roles. One of the main pull factors was SOH. Both very complimentary about him. Further news on skin shares in the spring/by summer at the latest, all being well.

Skin announcement in the spring, it will happen as soon as they get approval on distribution method (i.e. regulatory, tax and legal), so, it could be a few weeks or longer, but should be complete before summer

Did Stephen Ohara confirm there will be an announcement on skin shares in the next few weeks or are you assuming this will happen? You should make it clear what he says vs. your opinion.

OverallSOH was really excited about the future as ever, but also frustrated about market reaction to good announcements. He showed a slide showing Probi MCap compared to sales etc and was saying how some divisions could easily be worth £60+m each. He also mentioned when he was looking at other areas he was looking at Cognitive Health - stress, anxiety, autism, Alzheimer's and hinted that he was looking at those areas and might look to acquire IP in those areas which he could do the same as SKIN i.e x10 value in a year. He mentioned tests in autism particularly that excited him. He was very positive about the new team, esp Per and Christina.

SkinHe said they are keen to get products out early and can be across a range of areas, skin tightening (anti ageing), wound management, eczema, MRSA etc. They want to release value to OPTI shareholders and talking to advisors and lawyers to find best way of doing that without reducing value. When it is announced ( in next few weeks hopefully) shareholders in OPTI on that day will benefit, so not retrospective but there will be probably be a lock-in or phased release to stop people selling quickly and damaging SP?

SugarsSOH was very excited by this area. They are the only company globally who can modulate the microbiome. He thinks people still don't yet realise the value here. They are hoping for products later this year because the market needs healthy sugars because of sugar tax etc so getting products to market will get corporates looking. They are doing more human studies in June/July but could do deals with current products. He thinks this division could be worth more than all the others put together..

From the presentation:Optiscreen -Cholesterol product. Today's sale came on back of presentation in Berlin in Feb. They had a queue of 15-20 companies wanting to talk. 2 months later a sale. He also said at Vitafood in May they will have an "as yet unnamed" partner launching a product so an announcement due between now and then. Also said they are talking to Asian and US partners. He said at the moment OPti is only product that reduces cholesterol AND blood pressure. Also said it reduces triglycerides.

With regards someone giving the thumbs down vote, I've noticed that for ages, wouldn't take any notice. It goes in waves, every comment for a few hours gets the same... Someone needs to get outdoors more.... Just my thoughts. But must be horrible to be so negative all the time.
If who ever is posting the thumbs down all the time, hey, if you don't like OPTI then sell up and move on...

Well here goes and forgive me if I ramble from my notes:As ever SOH was very upbeat about the future and stressed we are now moving from an R&D company to commercialisation.His presentation covered each part of the company.Gofigure/Slimbiome. Approx £80k sales in 4 months included in the accounts so proven sales and great feedback. I assume that sales have only increased so must be doing pretty well by now as this was up to Nov 16, and no advertising to date. They are keen to use the science as a differentiator as opposed to being yet another weight loss product. I spoke to Christina after and they were approached by a tabloid recently who wanted some spectacular story e.g 4 stone lost in x weeks and they said that's not what they are about and what to encourage gradual sustainable weight loss. Deal with Tata should have products in 2nd half 2017. He wouldn't forecast sales. Margins are 70-80% on products but he did say that if you sell in Boots, Sainsburys etc you have to contribute to marketing spend and margins drop considerably sorisk/reward decisions.

Some are made to be a company shareholder's delight, being so pleased with everything and that is fine and dandy, possibly won't be so pleased if, this time next year, the share price remains stagnant. Still, we are all hoping it will be well over £1 by then.
PS, I can see where SOH is coming from, by not letting traders have their way , re the skin shares/OPTI, but it is a little bit like being held to ransom, with these 2 dates when you appear to have been an OPTI shareholder in order to qualify for free shares.

PS hey cowardly someone, give us a chance, i only just posted and you give me a thumbs down, whoever you are, i take my hat off to you, as you are just so quick off the mark, you must have your eyes peeled to the OPTI screen, 24 hours, looking out for 'lucked'......LOL

I'm not sure what I'm really expecting them to report back to be honest, very in depth RNS this morning and then the nice surprise few hours later..

Anyhow, delighted with progress so far, couldn't ask for more and we've the May event to look forward to. All good stuff..
