I think the majority believe that Opti shareholders will receive a reward of sbtx shares at some point. And so We don't know when, yes/no?We don't know the cut off point, when do you think that will be, at sometime before the 5th April 2017 ? If you sell your Opti shares, you will not receive any benefit, of course yesAnswers on a postcard !

One last comment on the subject of Michaelmouse v elrico. I think I have demonstrated his motives, agenda and of course highlighted his deceits and flawed logic; so with this I will sign off and rest my case because I think any credibility Michaelmouse may think he had has been crushed as far as OPTI investors and potential are concerned, which was the logic behind the "Michaelmouse school of investing and fraud thread."

Pglancy - Let me put one of Michalemouses inaccuracies in the light of truth. He accuses me of being a multi-handle troll.

1; he has no proof just his word I have more than one handle/username and in any event, there is not logic to me having more than one username, if as we assume it is to attack him. I set up a thread in my own name, why not one of a plethora of others I have been accused of having?

2; He is the troll, not I - he followed me from the AVN and INTQ threads where I was honest enough to declare I was short (bet against the share price going up) because BOTH companies had committed fraud. He then followed me to OPTI, it was not the other way about. He also accuses me of lying on the fan thread I set up for him. How would he know I posted lies if I am on his filter list. As I said before, if there are lies they are based on his lies.

Why you ask him questions given his history of twisting the truth to fit his agenda, is quite frankly beyond comprehension. You said you sold 10,000 share due to his lies. Staggering!

pglancy - Nothing wrong in agreeing to disagree. BTW elrico is not an arch rival (strange thing to say?), he's on my filter for a very good reason he's a multi-handled troll.

Beautiful weather here so that's me done until any significant news items.

Risky, our messages crossed, however I entirely agree. I expect some of the funds to be switched back to OPTI over the coming weeks before the Full Year Results.

I thought skin would quickly double, within 3 days it nearly has. Considering skins stage of development It is likely coming close to its peak price. Opti only started its real growth following successful completion of key stages e.g manufacturing scale up, human studies and a number of big name tie ups across its multiple platforms. Skin is still currently just proof of principle though the results have been very encouraging.Other than needing funds, the reason to delist would be because if skin platform did not work out the damage to opti would be far less than if it was part of opti. It is a massive risk currently and has a long way to go. Optis on the verge of getting its name and products out there and has a majority holding in skin. Some people are still saying opti holders are not getting shares? I assume they mean only for now because it's been confirmed by the boss. How many times do you need reassuring??Think soh has proved we have good reason to take his word now. Smart money will be leaving a stake in skinbio after top slicing and pumping the rest back in to opti. Very interesting to see how irrational the market can be. Opti invested 600k of its money, a year later has £8m worth of a tangible asset.....This means opti is more valuable unless your slightly slow. Currently market is not thinking straight and chasing skinbio up on the hype. Once the dust settles and skin has had its moment opti will be viewed as a cheap serious player in the market.

I share the same view as marnewton and bobdown. SBTX is likely to have a fairly long period with no news to report, and has cash for 18 months, which is pre commercialisation with a plan to raise further funds. OPTI rose in value significantly, partly because of the multi-streamed strategy and also because of continued coverage in investment magazines, Share Prophets, the Daily Mail etc. I don't expect the same level of coverage for SBTX, for a while, and at this stage Cath has yet to fully prove her commercial pedigree, unlike SOH who is someone I have never doubted. I have decided not to participate in SBTX, and won't until the studies are successfully completed and the risk of commercialisation is reduced. In contrast OPTI has significant news flow over the coming weeks and months which offers the probability of driving the share price, SBTX I don't believe will have anything to sustain the price rise in the short term, therefore I also think there is an element of froth. I intend to invest in SBTX, but probably not until next year. The cholesterol launch next month for OPTI is game changing, and I intend to stay fully vested here to benefit from this.

The new division could be subject to profit taking. My money wants to be on the cholesterol and sugars, Tata and Sacco and any of the thirty to forty companies that they are in talks with.

I'd like to think we're the winning horse now, first out the paddock...IMHO.
Good luck with your investment, it's never too late though to buy the new division?

MM i think we will have to agree to disagree. you have a clouded opinion of the company. i seem to have learned more about it than you have and that is a bold statement for some one than had no interest in any company before i was left with opti share after a family bereavement. i dont want to keep mentioning your arche rival but elrico spells the company strategy out very well and makes some very good point about cash burn as a group and as seperate companys. you now seem to suggest the ceo is dressing over the negative when the negative are minimized by the split. that is how is and many pi see it. not you though. you are are alone. thanks for opinions.

News flow is the life blood of aim. I missed out on the iPo buying and have been adding normal opti shares. At some stage the products will start to flow from Tata and Sacco and we have the cholesterol news shortly. This is where the revenue and dividends will come from first and opti may be the tortoise but end up being fatter than the hare. I expect loads more news from the opti side which of course include any from its holding in the skin holding!!

Great find,
So the Go Figure was mentioned in the magazine but the guy only commented on the shakes but I couldn't help but notice he didn't mention the bars at all?
Main thing though is his feedback comments where all very positive!

I thoroughly recommend the Go Figure diet if anybody is still undecided..
I've dropped two dress sizes, down from 14 to a trim size 10. I'm thrilled! Totally works!

Very interesting, jh;¬)

A contra-correlation!

Makes sense really...obvious in fact...

A limited pool of OPTI investors, with finite resources, have switched horses.

Will they switch back again? Some will, I'm sure, as the froth comes off the SBTX price (just an opinion).

There may well be a see-saw effect that will only lessen as both companies widen their respective investor base. New blood required!

pglancy - I have stated my argument in post 1137. SOH's strategy will be great for shareholders if the share price of SBTX continues to appreciate. I have no problem with that.

However, SOH understandably only lists the positive outcomes. Taking each of his points in turn.

1) Imo the current market cap. of SBTX is nonsense for a non-revenue generating company that is at least two years from any commercialisation.
2) The asset is appreciating since listing but it doesn't mean the share price will keep rising. If it starts to fall it will be a depreciating asset.
3) The IPO was a fund raise. Will it need more along the way? I expect it will. We shall see.
4) How? OptiBiotix and SBTX are still several years away from generating Free Cash Flow, if indeed they ever achieve it. Where will the funds come from to grant any sort of dividend? SOH says they have no intention in selling their SBTX shares (or presumably distributing them to shareholders?).
5) Only if one or more spin-offs are highly successful, and Opti retains a sufficiently large holding in each.

The share price of SBTX has gone bananas since the IPO. This is not an unusual occurrence at the moment. It appears to me that it is being driven by speculators (short term traders). I wrote a blog about this recently. It's worth looking at what happened to the share prices once reality set in weeks later. I was correct.

FUM did quickly raise more cash at a substantial discount to the toppy share price rise and has settled at about or below the placing level. IEH and MOS have fallen back far more sharply than they rose.

More recently, and perhaps more pertinently DDDD has fallen back sharply, and only yesterday I watched the rise and fall of ZOO.

ZOO had been on my monitor for a while since it's an interesting micro-cap. I never bought shares because of it's balance sheet. When I saw the shares soaring this week I thought perhaps a bid was on the way and I'd missed out. Not so. The company clearly did need cash and hastily issued a RNS yesterday at midday to warn that a cash raise was on the way at what I'd imagine is a severely discounted price to yesterday's highs.

My point is that fundamental value always wins out in the end. Fundamental value and current share price can become hugely detached. Imho Opti and sbtx are severely overvalued and I expect in time reality will catch-up. However, I have no idea when this might be.

I have no problem with you preferring the optimism of SOH's strategy, I just don't share it. The company might be a great success in a few years time, but the share price already has much of this expectation built in.

MM it seems clear elrico is closer to understanding the value argument than you. he posted an email from soh on the other thread. you should read the article he wrote. link at the bottom

Hi Elric,

I can’t comment on lockin’s only to say it's irrelevant as we are not going to sell shares. When we release value to OptiBiotix shareholders will look to structure it in a tax efficient way, most likely as a ‘dividend in specie’ . A couple of other points which are in the public domain which appear to be missed by shareholders:-

1. The SkinBiotherapeutics listing has materialised the value in this part of the business which was transparent to investors (now a market cap of ~£19m, up from £500K a year ago).
2. OptiBioix and its shareholders have a significant shareholding (41.9%) in an appreciating asset
3. SkinBiotherapeutics has £4.1m cash to build future value in the business from its development programs which are targeted at large markets. Our focus is to support Skin in building that value to the benefit of OptiBiotix shareholders
4. At some point in time OptiBiotix will distribute value in SkinBiotherapeutics back to its shareholders in a structured way
5. The listing of SkinBiotherapeutics highlights the value of OptiBiotix’s strategy of building up its divisions and listing them separately on public markets. This strategy will continue to develop and bring value to shareholders whilst mitigating shareholder risk.

This is an innovative approach to building technology by seed funding within a listed incubator (OptiBiotix) to create shareholder value which should materialise gains to OptiBiotix shareholders.

As Mar pointed out the other day, SBTX valuation will not be directly linked back into the OPTI price. The thing is it's difficult to know what price for SBTX was being discounted into the OPTI price prior to the float. I'm guessing some peeps may have bought in thinking they would be entitled to SBTX shares, realising that's not happening any soon have sold. Peeps that were just interested in the skin side of Opti have sold and bought directly into SBTX and peeps just wanting a little more exposure to the skin side reducing their exposure in OPTI and increasing in SBTX. Resulting in a near 12% fall in OPTI stock pre float and a 50% increase in SBTX stock.
