07/3/2017 09:20 | diamond you are keeping your mouth shut because you no nowt ;))) | scotty1
07/3/2017 09:19 | Hmmm elrico well yes there will be more SKIN shares than OPTI shares thats obvious if they are giving 1 for 1 to existing shareholders otherwise there would be no funds for SKIN :))) | scotty1
07/3/2017 09:18 | Keep your mouth shut DIAMOND. Good luck all. | diamond fibre
07/3/2017 09:07 | Nick - I believe it will be a 1-1. A certain basher believes the demerger will be very dilutive to OPTI. However, it has been demonstrated numerous times he does not understand the OPTI business model, the company strategy, the market potential, the science and of course markets in general. OPTI will retain 35-40% of Skin Therapeutics, this ensures OPTI are exposed to a significant market. What we don't know, is how many SKIN shares will be issued or at what price. I would imagine there will be more SKIN shares than OPTI shares because it would given OPTI the opportunity to attract new II, thus raise funds for SKIN ahead of commercialisation. Though the business model suggests they don't need a war chest because the MN partner's foot most of the bill. YSF were invested pre IPO, so they have been sat on a huge profit for some time. The strategy is an orderly exit over a 6 year period, so I don't imagine a rush to exit and it looks as though FINNCAP have found homes with existing shareholders. I would imagine further tranches will be much easier to offload and possibly in larger chunks post commercial news of new product launches. | elrico
07/3/2017 08:55 | Looks like the brakes are off, at least for now. The last time YSF sold a large batch was on the day of the brexit referendum - over 8 months ago - and they haven't sold any more until now. My point is it could be quite a few months before they sell their next batch. I guess it will depend on how quickly the share climbs. | parob
07/3/2017 08:37 | Well jh it's given you the chance of another trade possibly up to 90p this time ;)) | scotty1
07/3/2017 08:35 | well the 1.5M offload by YSF is without doubt the reason gave up the recent gains, despite good news. | john henry
07/3/2017 08:31 | Could someone kindly explain to me how this demerger might work? I am assuming (possibly wrongly), that as an existing holder of Opti, I would automatically be given a certain amount of shares in the new company, based on a percentage of what I already own. The fact one would sell Opti shares to buy into the skin IPO seems odd given that the details of this demerger are not known yet. I could understand this if owning Opti shares only gives you the right to get involved in the IPO, but doesn't automatically give you a percentage of the new company....? thanks in advance... | nicktopten
07/3/2017 07:41 | Always a nervous time when a big seller wants out. Doesn't make sense when the company is supposed to be at transformative point? Releasing funds for a dilutive placing at a much lower price perhaps? Just speculating. Aimho. DYOR. | michaelmouse
07/3/2017 07:33 | Wouldn't surprise me if they've cashed some in to have funds available ready for the skin demerger. I bet they're one of the investor groups that OPTI have been talking to. | parob
07/3/2017 07:29 | No holding RNS this morning? Bigger seller is still going then? Prepared to take 65p and less for big chunks? So it's either O'Hara or Yorkshire Seedcorn if shareholding data is up to date? Interesting that one of the big holders wants out at this stage. Not surprising to me though. | michaelmouse
07/3/2017 07:29 | suki Hot Stock Rockets TW site,as explained above YSF have been in since the beginning ie 8p they are over exposed in OPTI and thats why they sold a tranche at 40p and this tranche at 65p and will probably sell another tranche at 90p all in a orderly manner. No sinister motives. edit suki just as a rider and contrary to some beliefs funds don't really give a toss about "news being around the corner" when they sell. | scotty1
07/3/2017 07:25 | Scotty- what is hsr? Also I have a large holding here at high 60s but why would anyone want to sell with good news evidently round the corner ??? | sukithedog
07/3/2017 07:21 | Parob don't know if there is a specific buyer imo the shares have in some respect been walked down to attract buyers to accommodate the YSF sell. | scotty1
07/3/2017 07:13 | YSF is the seller as it is over exposed to one stock being OPTI.So imo we should have a free run up to 90p now when they will probably sell another tranche when they can, plus "hard news" due very soon" All being done in a orderly manner which is always good. | scotty1
07/3/2017 07:05 | I am elrico but i still like to know who is selling large chunks of shares in any stock i own :) Anyways HSR got the update out as promised ;)) | scotty1
06/3/2017 23:43 | And I thought you were the calm sort of fellow, Scotty ;-) | elrico
06/3/2017 22:53 | Well i did "mither" (well i didn't mither i asked once and he replied) TW and he says it is not David Evans shares and there will be an update on HSR overnight. | scotty1
06/3/2017 21:25 | I don't blame you wanting more OPTI - Parob. Looking into the future as a long term holder I know you are, you should ask; is the additional money from TRIN really going to make a material impact the core holding you have at say, 6p lower...being what most TA experts would suggest is the floor. The window of opportunity for cheap shares is narrowing by the week, IMHO. The 1.5m cross trade is just a distraction from more important pending news. I would wager Finncap facilitated the trade at a discount as means of getting the seller out in an orderly manner. Some of you may remember I quoted SOH a few weeks ago; "Finncap have not yet reached the level we expect of them and their reputation, that will change." This suggests to me SOH has instructed Finncap to be more proactive. I guess today's trade is an example of this change. | elrico
06/3/2017 19:17 | If this is the last of the shares that were being fed into the market then the effect on the share price could be immediate and maybe previous trading ranges might disappear. Maybe all the future news will be reflected into the share price ??? | bobdown2
06/3/2017 19:07 | Parob - With respect, I am not going to mither TW and or SOH over a trivial issue. I am happy to believe the shares are crossed traded to safe hands. I am more focussed on the coming weeks events. | elrico
06/3/2017 18:02 | TW may have the answer. Elrico perhaps you could message him on behalf of the bb! | parob
06/3/2017 17:59 | I'm wondering if they're David Evans' remaining shares. Once he's out I'm hoping there'll be no-one else to hold us back. I guess we'll find out over the next few days. | parob
06/3/2017 17:42 | Well that's interesting someone has off loaded 1,500,000 shares reported after the bell at 65p (discount to the prevailing price). I wonder who it is? According to their website there are only three major holders:- Finance Yorkshire Seedcorn Fund (FYSCF)*11,999,314 15.3% Stephen O'Hara (Director)10,103,029 12.9% David Evans 2,623,517 3.4% Let's hope it's not Stephen O'Hara. The other Director Adam Reynolds only holds 1,262,158 shares or 1.6% (which tells its own story really) so it can't be him. | michaelmouse |
