I don't think I have ever been in a share where future prospects have been so well flagged. Anyone doing a bit of background research into OPTI will see the potential gains to be made here. What makes OPTI different to other investments is the quality of the management and the fact based science behind our products.

Chart starting to look great. A good post by "ol..." over on lse:"Why OPTI why Now?Having researched OPTI the following are my reasons for OPTImism and why I think the next few months are going to be so exciting: 1. IP in all 4 divisions, optiscreen, slimbiome, skinbiotix, sweetbiotix is all backed up by Scientific evidence and the IP is targeted at high value and high growth areas such as functional foods, cholesterol reduction, bacterial IP etc. 2. The Mcap is circa £61m as of today's share price Back in May it was at £75m and nothing but positive news has been released since then, more IP, strategy on demerger, commercial deals announced, more in pipeline, new commercially driven director recently appointed, the list goes on. 3. The technicals are strong. With a previous high of £1 back in December 2014 (again Mcap circa £75m) we know this has got room to move up into. 4. Trend reversal. From May 16 until Jan 17 we saw a major downward trend, not halted by any of the good news. In fact good news previously gave volumes for people to sell into causing the price to push lower as people became impatient for commercial deals. In December a large deal was struck and I think this is one of the things that has catalysed the trend reversal and shift in investor sentiment. The recent appointment Christina Wood is a real signal of intent and an insight into what OPTI is now ready for, commercial and distribution deals with big business. The upward trend now looks to be cemented in, some resistance at 80p but this will only be temporary. 5. Cholesterol product release due in spring which will surely be followed by more deals and sales. 6. In a previous RNS there was talk of the potential of 6 commercial deals in the pipeline, 1 has been announced since then and at least some others are progressing with news due shortly. 7. Demerger of the separate divisions which was mentioned back in June 16, if this is still on the cards in the short term then it has got the potential to multi bag in a short period of time IMO. The list above is by now way exhaustive and there is plenty more info out there. Genuinely there is very little to be concerned about with OPTI IMO, having gone through the presentations, the Science and IP look solid so it is just a case of converting that in to business. Where OPTI have been lacking in the past is commercial awareness and experience in this area, which they are addressing with each new appointment, Christina Woods being the latest person to join the team. What are the risks? Further delays with commercial deals taking longer than investors expect leading to impatience and a stagnation of the share price I think something has shifted with a significant gear change in drive towards these commercial deals. Very excited to have a descent size holding in OPTI and looking forward to the news which is surely coming. The above is my own personal view of the share and in no way should be used as advice. As ever DYOR and make your own conclusions."

Well, it's very promising were not going up in a straight line IMHO
Means there's probably a heck of a lot to 80 triggers being set off whilst people at work etc...
Yet, lots of buying too
So bit of a yo yo
As usual though, it's the closing UT that counts.
Good look folks, would be great to put an 80 behind us on the new leg up....

Welcome to a new week. A week which I have a hunch could be big for Opti. Just got a feeling that it could be the week when we get some real significant news. Nothing to back it up - just a spooky feeling.......

Thanks Someuwin; could this be the start of an exciting adventure? More clout than the PSL promo perhaps.

It comes as no surprise we have tremendous interest with those amazing results. All it's going to take is one good revenue-bearing commercial deal for the wider market to cotton on to exactly what we have here.....then.....whoosh!

Brief message from SoH...

"The conference went well and we won an award for one the best scientific abstracts which is quite an achievement

More importantly there was tremendous interest from companies in the cholesterol product"

I would expect 3-4 gain, nothing substantial. C6000 subscribers is not huge, less than shares and IC, I think. I'm more focussed on up coming news from OPTI as these will be the real value drivers. That said, there is potential for quite a few new investors and compare to the daily trades (not volume), these could be a good boost over the coming days which should offer us a new higher floor.

That's ok Blomers; a mistake any of us might make.
Penny Share Letter is under new editorship on the past year.
Have no doubt latest issue - in leading article - gives Opti the full Monty; as to how the market might respond is anyone's guess; I'm certainly not expecting fireworks on this account even if it can't do any harm.
I would say, however, that it's disingenuous to attach Trumpist "fake" credentials to what PSL is about. In the case of current highlight - OPTI - they may well be on the money.

Paulmc1 over on iii has summed up the tip well:"The article is too long to paste (and there might be sensitivities for subscribers) but a lot of it holders of Opti will know and there's also a lot of historical background to the science. Essentially he has broken his rule to only recommend stocks that are already in profit because he is convinced this is now a proper business with a very attractive business model. In particular he is convinced by Dr Stephen O'Hara as a scientist and as an entrepreneur. He expects deals and other important milestones to come in across 2017 and the possibility of years of growth thereafter."

Apologies - I stand corrected - the headline I posted was for February 2016 - it's the most recent issue they display so I assumed it was current. Not sure how that can be regarded as "latest issues"!

I've probably got completely the wrong magazine and website!

Hope so, as I'd much rather the article was recommending OPTI...
