Here's a proposition - to all patient lths bb posters; all 20 of us, or as many as there may be; let's commit to meeting up for a celebration drink (not to mention an informal "get-to-know" - faces to names and all that - at next OPTI public session (Press briefing, agm or whatever) subsequent to share price breaking through £2. First round on me.

SOH on the Asian deal."Signed As announced. We hope to announce their name in the New Year but given the size of the company it would have taken 6-8 weeks to get corporate sign off and I like to inform shareholders asap."That was 16/12/16. I'm not falling into the trap of using the I word, but its save to say there could be an announcement anytime. No doubt the lawyers will have a big say on timing.

Listening again to the TW / Adam Reynolds podcast from 15th Dec last year.

Talking about the Asian focussed major multinational deal which had been announced two days earlier, Adam says...-

"hopefully by January / February time we will be able to announce who the customer is"

So the time is right...

Date: February 2, 2017

Researchers have found that the microorganisms residing in the intestines (microbiota) play a role in the development of high blood pressure in rats. The study is published in Physiological Genomics. It was chosen as an APS selectarticle for February.

Owenmo - I asked SOH about the journal publication just before Christmas; he would not name the journal or when it would be published. However, he did confirm OPTI's talks would be on "both the clinical study and work on the sugar which increased by 3x the cholesterol reducing effect." IMHO this will attract a lot of attention from a wide range of food, dairy, beverage and OTC as well pharma companies, A fact that should not be lost, given OPTI are set to go commercial with several products will significantly derisk both sugar, cholesterol & hypertension IP, which may well speed up DD processes for future product related IP where exclusivity is not an issue.

I suppose one of the days we'll get to hear what SOH had to say for himself in Berlin yesterday. But then we've heard it all before? Or have we? Is next week poised to be anti-climactic too? Unless perchance an RNS Tuesday?

Elrico - no reason not to be very optimistic that we take off like ASOS. The more one looks at the science the more I think this company is a no brainer investment. Another reference to Opti in shares magazine this week. It mentions that 15.9% of over 18s in Europe are obese. It says that Opti is working with food, wellbeing and pharmaceutical companies to bring its platforms to market (although no names mentioned).

elrico - I don't think your statement is completely outlandish - maybe a tad optimistic, but I share your optimism.

The big difference between OPTI and ASOS is that ASOS remained one entity. OPTI may split into as many as four. Although we don't know how many shares we would qualify for, all four could generate signicicant shareholder value. The split could also protect us from a premature takeover that would deny us the chance to reap long-term rewards. If one of the new companies was bought out, we could remain invested in the others.

There's no other share I'm invested in that generates even a fraction of the excitement I feel from this one - despite having initially bought in at 86p and having been making a loss for over a year!

Judging by the emails and PM I need to explain my comment about OPTI being better than ASOS as an AIM prospect. I agree it sounds outlandish and I APPEAR to be getting ahead of myself. When I am comparing the two, it is on the basis of ASOS was as a fledgling internet retailer, very much under the radar where it was just potential, hope and very speculative, pretty much where OPTI is now. The difference in the two companies, ASOS is no longer unique and can be replicated and indeed has, OPTI is like ASOS was, well ahead of it's competition, except there is no real competition just yet. As outlandish as my comparison was, is, I stand by it, with the caveat, OPTI has yet to unlock the value where like ASOS, it attracts the tracker funds, etc, which will happen when OPTI consolidates above the £100m market cap...which I feel is as close as end of Q2, IMHO.

Just bought more shakes and bars on Amazon, £16.76 for the shakes plus 10% discount on both shakes and bars if you buy 2 or more. Not a bad deal at all.

Joy - Ref reviews on the GoFigure site. I raised the issue with Max because I have several emails requesting reviews, but I couldn't find any. Max said they are collating for publication, so it has nothing to do with me raising the topic. On another topic, I have used several calorie counting apps and each occasion I have had to manually input all the nutritional data including GoFigure brand. I raised this today with Max and Filipa because I think they are missing a trick here. The barcode does not show up on any of the apps. Also, more importantly, no barcode on the sachets or bars. In theory, anyone should be able to seacrh GoFigure and a list should pop up. Just today I have added GoFigure shakes and all their nutritional content to 3 apps... Bloody time consuming ;-)

Here's a novel idea....we all pick a calorie counting app, download it and add GoFigure products to it :-)

Thanks for the link on best prices, appreciated.
So you noticed the same regards comment reviews, at least Max aware of it but it's definitely missing the edge with regards a selling feature I feel...
It's first thing I do when review something on line, look for customer ratings and their views. Gives any product authenticity and that human touch

Humphries, whose daughter lost 7lb in two weeks on another diet, great news.
However, when I looked into healthy weight loss it is suggested maximum should only be 2-3 lbs per week otherwise it's a strain on the body and can result in yo yo dieting....just what I read and thought I'd share.
Restrict diet in a controlled manner and the Go figure range ticks all the boxes for me, so I'm happy, healthy ingredients...
I'd be interested to see the list of ingredients on other diet shakes on the market. Wonder what they use to sweeten their flavours etc...?

Great thing about the go figure range is two shakes, two bars and eat healthy meal in the evening, simply!
No calorie counting, no fuss and stress free!
Perfectly happy with go figure.

The test of diets is, yes, short term loose weight
Secondly, do you yo yo and put it back on?

Good luck all
Have great weekend

My thinking too Owenmo! Although the volume being so pitiful suggests bored PI's more than anything! On higher volume days, there is still a seller dumping 50ks here and 100ks there...that is more concerning!Hopefully a spate of positive news flow is incoming...and very soon!

F3 - agree to a point. IMHO the "imminent" tag came from AR then repeated by TW. I could be wrong of course, but I highly doubt SOH would have been so lapse or allowed TW to repeat without assurances he would keep his council. I think at the time TW was an insider, so wouldn't have broken any AIM regs, for what they are worth. The time has been eaten up by MN DD on IP and researching their respective markets, etc, all of which eats up time, throw in legal teams.

Worse case scenario - Said MN announce launch OTC products, but no financial details announced. This is likely due to commercial sensitivity. I think this is perhaps the reason why SOH divulged the royalties and margins recently. These offer scope ahead of digging down into the accounts when published. The good news is the like of us LTH we can see the turning of the corner....guess who will be round the next corner with their heads in their hands looking grim for talking themselves out of what I believe is the best AIM company I have ever come across...yes, better than ASOS!

Yes F3rdinand we need something concrete and soonish. Extraordinary, though, that sellers have dominated the afternoon in the course of which SOH is to lay foundation stone (and in good company) of the cholesterol product launch. Back of one's mind one has to ask the question if these (otherwise very silly) sellers know something us hopefuls don't. As ever we LTHs hope it's just a question of bad timing on their part. Now, post-Berlin, bring on the goodies.

The market really needs figures now, to ascertain the sort of progress OPTI can make! Been over a year of 'P&G news soon' 'MN name to be revealed soon' 'Six multinational deals in final stage negotiations' etc etc! There's only so much faith PI's will keep before they give up! Even having cholesterol products on the shelf won't mean a lot unless we have an idea of profit margins (likely to be massive)I'm not doubting any of it and the recent lows have enabled me to trade 20% of my holding to increase my overall number of shares, but I feel we will quickly reach a tipping point if it doesn't all start coming together in the next month or so!

In the absence of any figures from GoFigure sales and or margins, It occurred me GoFigure and Superfood have a £6.10p differential. OK, it is crude comparison because the latter is based on a bulk buy of 10 x boxes. However, if we use the figure as a base figure for profit margin (which again is very crude and probably wrong), it gives us something to work with, if only for fun. 100,000 boxes x £6.10p = £610,000. This may seem a stretch, but if we revert back to the £27,000 per month SOH mentioned as the early launch and this remained flat, this equates to revenues of £324,000 pa. Chicken feed I know, but a base of sorts. In any event, best time to evaluate will may be perhaps interims later this year.
