If anything the timing of this RNS (& previous) shows an unhealthy concern by BoD in the short-term movements in share price If the work going on behind the scenes is going well and parts of the business are becoming profitable or even cash generative then release the news/figures when appropriate and they'll do the talking. It doesn't matter if share price falls between news.

Thanks for your unwanted and un asked for advice on what and what is not a good share for me
I re-iterate (as a now quite substantial holder) that I am happy to be invested here for the long term.
However the market reaction to the share price sums up perfectly this rns as it has the last few.
Until we get proper goods news about deals etc etc it's just more re gurgittated re hashed flowery worded stuff that the majority of genuine holders on here already know!
Now trot off like a good lad and take your investment advise somewhere where it might just be wanted!!

JH and JJ I don't think this is the share for you... The rns was not pointless at all and has provided some useful direction and good news, as has previously been alluded to we would not be getting products out in the timeframes mentioned if deals had not already been signed. I have had more than a few dealings with mn's and when you are the smaller Co you play by their rules in terms of time and information release.

Lol, people complain when there isn't news...people complain when there is news! As was explained above there was a lot of news in today's update. Would be nice to see a few director buys at this level however to change sentiment!

Some nuggets of positivity & jam tomorrow but smacks a little of a desperation to shore up share price I'm a holder so appreciate the effort but sometimes non-news is worse than no news.

Neftanikoff - I don't like to bother him too much with emails - especially with specific questions which he probably isn't allowed to answer. Lets see if we get more info from other channels.

Meanwhile I see this site is saying that finncap have today reiterated their 'corporate' rating on OPTI (with no target price given)

The go figure website is currently counter intuitive and makes ordering more than one product a nightmare!
I ordered some stuff through it on Monday and it's due delivery today, edit - just got email: delivered between 10:03 and 11:03 by Mohammed. The deliveries previously have always been on time.

Someuwin, you have soh's e/mail, perhaps you could send him one to clarify those points that you raise or maybe there will be the customary directors talk/proactive interview with pre arranged questions, which may answer them.

Time will tell, disappointed with last few months however, SOH needs to be more cautious in his enthusiasm in interviews. As for spring, well that's 21st March till June! - but let's hope so, happy to be proved wrong

Fozdad, I ordered a new batch of shakes etc via the Gofigure site last Thursday and they have arrived. Had no problem at all. I pay via Paypal.

So reading between the lines here, it looks to me that OPTI won't be coming out with one or two blockbuster Statin type products but rather creating a branded ingredient LP-LDL (TM) which will be used in multiple products both consumer and pharma. In much the same way that Slimbiome is the active ingredient in GoFigure diet bars etc.

With them saying products will launch next spring and no announcement yet of major licensing deal, I think they may have abandoned the idea of giving exclusivity to a multinational and instead are going to partner with other companies on a profit sharing basis to build the brand up.

As alawys just guessing as they don't give much info away.

(also 'a threefold increase in cholesterol reduction' is fairly meaningless unless we know what its compared with)

Lukead I'm not negative on OPTI quite the reverse for the coming years,but like it or lump it revenues coming in as yet will not imo cover what is needed to move forwards.Come spring 2017 funds will be low i would imagine.As i said yesterday alarm bells started to ring when i found out the Finncap note was false and with the continued seller about I'm still not 100% that the raising of cash will not be needed.Some things just don't add up,time will tell.

I have to say that I'm surprised that Gofigure is profitable, I've been trying to re-order from their site for weeks and the payment page doesn't work, it just returns to the checkout page. I can only assume that people are ordering from Amazon

Does it say products by spring ?

It could be interpreted as the results will be published in spring. They're very careful with their wording are Opti !

It looks to me like I (we?) have been looking in the wrong direction, i.e. expecting OPTI to be doing deals when what appears to be happening is that our partners with the manufacturing ability have been doing product 'deals' with their customers using our ip and trials which appear to have been ongoing and successful if indeed scientific journals are going to publish our trials data, and the presentation at the November conference.

Scientific journals usually only publish new 'breakthroughs' as it is the mechanism used by the science world for peer review, which is vital for scientific acceptance and progression, and in our case successful product launch (at a premium price).

On the other hand of course the whole thing could just be 'more smoke and mirrors'.

We shall see!

Yes, I am quite happy with the update. These things do take time but we now have a target for 2017. Will be interesting to see how the presentation is received next month. Gofigure being profitable is great to hear. I had my shake this morning and can't believe I have lost a decent amount of weight these last few weeks. They do work.

I'm presuming we'll hear about the specific terms for each cholesterol deal once all the legalities are finalised..in the coming weeks and months?

Also remember that skinbiotix could IPO any day now and an update on what slimfast plan on doing with our technology...
