Nimrod it will be annually as mentioned by SOH. Multi billion pound markets is very relevant to the market the products are entering and the opportunity available. If you look at the costs & the deals it's not difficult to see where profitability is coming from. Reality is £500k revenues all from earlier agreements in first full year of transitioning from R&D to commercial company on a £1.6m decreasing cost base is good going when it is license model with majority of revenues directly hitting bottom line.

I don't mind if the "multi million pound" deal is per year or over lifetime.
Reality is, despite repeated similar comments on this board, and frequent references in past RNS's such as "101.32 billion market" "112 billion market" "100 million market," it's not actually possible to buy a round of drinks for two people with the profits generated so far. There has to be a time when the company is able to show a profit to shareholders.

Well it did but not in the sense Opti have sold multi million pounds worth of slimbiome to Zeon. It has signed a deal that will quite clearly lead to multi millions which is why the U.K. minister was there.Make no mistake Multimillion will be nailed on with Zeon with 10s of millions worth of potential.

In that case the government minister did not attend a multi-million pound deal signing as was clearly stated. Only a deal potentially worth millions which is very different.

I agree it would be fantastic. The reality is you simply can not just whack figures into an RNS. The Nomad will say justify that figure. How can you justify ? This is one of the main reasons we are lucky SOH communicates so well to provide colour to regulatory announcements. It is very limiting to what will get signed off by the regulator. The deal is Opti licensing slimbiome for manufacturer & supply gaining a profit share. Opti are not selling slimbiome to Zeon. It is therefore up to us in the market to use intuition that Zeon has significant presence already in this market & a long list of massive clients to supply which will lead to significant revenue. They can not RNS figures based on the government or Zeon saying 'we'll easily sell millions of this to our partners' even if they already have corporates lining up to buy.I'm sure SOH would love to announce it's a multimillion pound deal but simply can only talk rough guidance figures to investors via back channels. That's just how it is however frustrating it may be for management & us investors.

Risky, even you must admit that if an RNS stated that the expected annual income from the Zeon contract was in the millions it would have a big impact on the share price.

What would an update give that the official RNS hasn't already.? I've mentioned before, people do not know companies like Zeon & therefore immediately underestimate. A bit of work on who they supply & their status within India would lead to the conclusion it's a massive deal. U.K. cabinet ministers do not bother turning up unless it's substantial.

https://lemminginvestors.blogspot.com/2019/03/optibiotix-health-passage-to-india.html?m=1I asked Stephen O'Hara if the "multimillion pound" value attributed to the deal by the British Trade Minister was per anum or life of the agreement?Stephen O'Hara: Given the interest and discussions we are having with major players we hope the deals we are striking in India will contribute to substantive revenues annually. Given the size of the India market, we would hope these would be multimillion annually, and over time 10's of millions.

There has been an enormous amount of media coverage of the OPTI-ZEON deal in India. Here’s another website covering the story:

The media were there because it’s a big deal!

Agreed. If this was a Mickey Mouse deal of a few hundred grand there’s no way he’d be there getting papped and talking it up. It’s clear to see that this is a very large deal indeed. Here’s to many more over coming months!

Rayrac, now that you are the self-proclaimed most knowledgeable poster on all things OPTI, could you point me to where it says "there were an awful lot of other life sciences companies represented there" and who were these companies?
Thanks in advance.

After New Delhi the Minister visited Mumbai where he met young entrepreneurs at the ‘Fintegrate Zone’ conference to further the UK’s position as a world leader in FinTech and position the UK as India’s partner of choice in raising finance. Among other engagements in Mumbai, he attended a multi-million pound UK-India life sciences deal signing; promoted UK-India sports links in the run up to the 2019 Cricket World Cup; and interacted with Indian youth leaders and Chevening alumni.

The U.K. government minister travelled to India specifically for the official Opti Zeon signing for a 'multimillion pound deal' between India & UK & somehow there's confusion over the relevance & who the beneficiaries are. That ones going on the growing list of ridiculous classics

Anyone have any ideas when products with either Slimbiome or Lpldl will actually be on sale in India so these millions can start to flow to Opti? Still a year away or maybe less?

Well well, so there’s a multi million life £ science signing. Why is everyone shy about its relevance too Opti? Surely we would have had some indication of that from soh by now?

Our friend Tom, though, wants us to pay for reading his interpretation of it!

It might be true of course, but there were an awful lot of life science companies represented there. It would be strange indeed if Opti were the sole beneficiaries of any multi million deal? Or even a fraction of a deal.
