From SOH on muesli pots:"Its due to high demand. They are in coming in today and should be out tomorrow so were only out of stock for a couple of days. You don't want to keep stock if you can avoid it but can't anticipate demand which can be highly variable for specific flavours.Given the demand and normal lead times of 6-8 weeks we have made minor changes to the manufacturing process which should stop the clumping and increased the flavour content in some pots. The pot seals and new labels will come in the next batch as the labels take 4 weeks to set and print and we wanted to get another run done quickly to meet the demand."

It's not particularly easy to anticipate demand and even less so on specific flavours. You also do not want to keep a lot of stock if you can avoid. If they went out of stock in two flavours that obviously means they had exceptional demand for those products and there is clear market interest. Remember go figure isn't just muesli range. I've been told porridge and savoury products a long with a much rider range of applications will soon be available.

If your sticking to the diet it's harder not to lose weight. If you drink or eat excessively in the evening it will not work. A calorie controlled diet works for everyone so people that say they haven't lost weight are lying or cheating the diet!!

It feels to me that they're sitting on a large inventory and need to sell that off before the next updated batch comes through. All the new punters will buy and be disappointed and then leads to negative reviews which we need to avoid as these are excellent products, they just screwed up the first batch.

They've noted and are making changes but how quickly can they put in place is the key question my friend.

I know what you mean about the finish. That's because you leave the solution for a while. The longer you leave it, it goes wallpaper paste gooey and that leads into my point you need to eat it instantly so it all needs to mix easily and I use a lot of milk (fill pot up).

So if you fill pot up full and eat instantly at same pace you eat cornflakes or any other cereal it's fine you don't notice it.

For me dazah its easy. I eat my breakfast at home, so not looking for alternatives. I don’t mind the sticking on the bottom of pot so much, because i add low fat milk too the contents, leave it for a minute and then tip it in a bowl.

But it’s the finish i don’t like, not that pleasant and doesn’t seem to work at losing weight....but I’ve another box to get through, so I’ll keep going.

Rayrac - what's it say on the back of the opti muesli pot you've eligibly bought :)

Rayrac to be fair, have you seen the alternatives? When I'm commuting to the office in London Bridge, I usually get a Starbucks porridge pot. It's over £3 and just tastes either too creamy or too vegan-y and tries to be too hipster in trying to somehow justify it's premium-ness.

I've started taking a muesli pot and swing into Waitrose on the way to the train station, I buy a 50p carton of Waitrose essential semi skimmed and pour that into my pot on the train. What leftover milk I just leave that on the table by the window (I'm in first so have table).

Its really nice and at £2.50 total it's not too bad. Depends on what yardstick you're comparing to. I don't have time in the morning to sit and have breakfast, I'd rather just grab a lot and go.

Works for me although not buying more pots unless I either get a discount code or confirmation of new blend. A shame already on OPTI shop people are complaining about the bottoms so I'm surprised they are risking further negativity through continuing to sell any old batches.

Happy Monday everyone :)

:) apt description!

£2 per pot per breakfast. Just not going to fly off any shelves...supermarket or otherwise!

And ive not lost any weight so far eating as per usual. How someone on here, said they had lost 2kg in a week eating normally, is a downright liar!

Wow what a coincidence, opti have replied just now, so I thank them. They're looking to rapidly implement an improved mix, so until they have I'd prefer OPTI not get too carried away with marketing the muesli pots with the problematic 'crusty bottom' batches as it's a bad experience when you pay £2 per item.

Once I know the mix has been updated I'll be putting more orders in for the pistachio and the turmeric pots. If we all can keep an eye on our bottoms we can work out when they have been improved.

No discount code though *groans* but at got a reply :)

Regards
