24/1/2018 14:20 | Several peeps have observed the share price has perhaps not behaves as hoped after the SweetBiotix RNS. I guess the market view is more jam at some point in the weeks and months. What the market probably doesn't realise, is OPTI will almost certainly be working with potential partners now. Lets face it, OPTI and the market already knew the sweetness litmus test from previous announcements. The update merely confirmed what many of us had hoped for and now confirmed it as a BULK volume product that beats its main market competitors in pretty much every test category. An example of how OPTI BOD operate can best be gauged with recent announcements related to Premier/Knighton foods. First profit share agreement on 1/11 and then 8/11 another update confirming an new improved version of SlimBiome. Does the market seriously think this was done in a week? No of course this is not how it happened, it is merely an example of how OPTI get on and do rather than tell investors their intention to do. I find the process very reassuring because when the time comes for SOH to sing like a lark, it will sound like its amplified via Dolby atmos and heads are going to turn, safe in the knowledge he has history of being over cautious, but optimistic. | elrico
24/1/2018 12:06 | There is no doubt (in my mind) that there is currently a lack of marketing/publicity with Opti and our products (lets hope our management team are addressing it) We have life changing and commercially dynamite products, and all but a very very few punters are totally unaware of them Maybe that's what Mr OH wants. In which case he wants it for a reason, which is ok with me | judijudi
24/1/2018 11:56 | I accept what you say Elrico but look how a potential new blood test for cancer was on the front of newspapers last week. Yet, there is an aim company that is far more advanced but not so savvy publicity wise. To me it’s the same with OPTI, our LDL cholesterol reduction has hardly been reported in mainstream media. I guess I am just a bit frustrated having a daughter who wants to buy her first place and I thought by now OPTI would have helped with her deposit. | rafboy
24/1/2018 11:43 | I would much prefer my cash NOT to be spent on useless and expensive PR firms. | pj 1
24/1/2018 11:43 | Was it not Christina and Max (joint proactive interview) whom said there will be a big PR/Marketing campaign in the New Year to coincided with new product launches. It's quite possible this may be upon us by the end of Feb/March. At the moment, there isn't much to promote (retail side) until the new improved SlimBiome goodies are rolled out to retailers. I would also expect this to continue at pace once the e-commerce site is launched with a variety of our LP-LDL & SlimBiome products, giving instant access to UK and anyone not concerned about shipping costs outside the UK. | elrico
24/1/2018 11:39 | toyin, I know he has indicated he is not concerned with the current share price but I feel that is a bit of an excuse so he doesn’t have to discuss it. Our share price has been stagnant for 2 years despite some excellent progress on several fronts. If I was the CEO I would be concerned at this. Now I know the share price is beyond his control but I do think better PR for all that OPTI has achieved would see new investors come on board, to the benefit of the share price | rafboy
24/1/2018 11:38 | Well, I've filled my boots now. I've been invested in this share (and plenty of others) long enough to know the current malaise in the share price is temporary. During previous dips and the subsequent rallies I've cursed myself for not adding more on weakness. Since then we've made incredible scientific and commercial progress, so it beggars belief where are stuck in the low 60's, but hey ho, that's the mystery of AIM. A thoroughly irrational mistress and imperfect valuation system, which every so often throws up the opportunity of a lifetime, I think OPTI, here and now is one of those opportunities. So I'm not too disheartened by the stagnant share price as its allowed me to accumulate enough shares to be life changing when the share price hits £2+ - Something I'm extremely confident about within a 18 months. Keep the faith, the tipping point is coming soon IMHO | trotterstrading
24/1/2018 11:31 | SOH has publicly said he is not concerned with the current share price (and neither should he be) He should however be looking to engage a good marketing company (maybe he is on this) and he should be looking at strengthening the management team (maybe he is on this) who currently must be really under the cosh given all the interest in Opti and the presentations we are involved in | judijudi
24/1/2018 11:21 | rafboy What exactly do you want somebody to say about the share price? | toyin
24/1/2018 11:13 | If anyone is going to the general meeting tomorrow I hope you have a chance to talk to SOH about the share price. | rafboy
24/1/2018 10:44 | Going nowhere much (other than probably down) while this seller is continuing to off load and there are no buyers to offset the sells (unless of course we have some stupendous news to stop the rot) | judijudi
24/1/2018 10:44 | Opportunities to top-up abound... | colinzeal
24/1/2018 10:40 | Bought a few more this morning, oh and the price dropped! | rafboy
24/1/2018 02:44 | Many people do not realise that OPTI are slowly building commercial traction with the smaller Co's such as Pharmabiota, Galenicums etc purposely to give themselves a stronger negotiating stance when dealing with the bigger MN players. If you rely on one big deal then they will walk all over Opti with the cash reserves slowly depleting. Clearly also with multiple deals the accumulative effect will be very rewarding. With revenues gradually coming in already even if they are not particularly substantial compared to the larger players it puts Opti in a far stronger position. The impatient will learn a hard lesson later down the line here as progress has been incredible on multiple very exciting fronts. | riskybusiness1
23/1/2018 19:50 | vlotte pruilerige bastaard. Grote knuffels en een grope xx | incanus
23/1/2018 19:30 | Trotters, exactly right. And the added complication of multiple companies after the same product in the same country. I imagine the management sitting back and waiting for the best offer to win the day. | slartybartfaster
23/1/2018 19:10 | F3rd - I understand the share price is frustrating, but Opti are making the right deals that will be better in the future for the shareholders. This does take longer, SOH is a genius and you will see this in time he is doing right for the company. More patience is needed here. | primal123
23/1/2018 19:03 | F3, brands have the be incredibly cautious when introducing changes to existing product / creating new product lines. Which needs to be balanced with evaluating the latest market trends. Flash in the pan or a genuine shift in consumer demand? A wrong move could easily destroy a brand which has taken years to establish, so it doesnt surprise me it takes a long time to agree a deal that works for all parties?FWIW - I believe we are seeing a seismic and irreversible shift to natural healthy alternatives to processed foods, and sugar is at the very heart of it. OPTI has positioned itself as a pioneer with excellent commercial connections. Bodes very well from where I'm sitting | trotterstrading

23/1/2018 18:30 | January 2018 has been super-busy for all of us at GoFigure. New flavours and new products mean long hours and burning the candle at both ends.We have munched our way through quite a few boxes of bars to keep the energy up. Thank you for being so patient with our small team as we work on our new products. We still have a fantastic offer of 2 for 1 on our Cacao Orange bars and Cacao Chocolate shakes. This will run for a few more weeks so go ahead and stock up. https://www.gofigure | elrico
23/1/2018 18:25 | Ah, right, I get you know. IMHO I think you're being a tad harsh -F3rdy. If you rewind the clock back, you will note the commercial phase for LP-LDL is barely 8 months. SlimBiome tracktion has been a little longer, c15 months I think? Per and Christina have not been with company for 12 months yet. SweetBiotix appears it is just about ready to go commercial, or very soon. OpticBiotic is about to go commercial. We only recently appointed a new chairman in December and the team is perhaps a little light. The BOD is spread very thinly, and dealing with 30+ companies, defining which are the best, splitting territories up and all the while trying to keep your cool to ensure you get the best deal - it must time consuming, more so when dealing with MN's and their army of suits pouring over every word in each contract. Don't forget, they want to perform their own product DD. And I wonder how many have wasted valuable time attempting to circumvent the double-locked IP? | elrico
23/1/2018 18:06 | It is frustrating but Opti will come good! Great progress being made! | primal123
23/1/2018 17:53 | F3rdy - what line is that refer to? TT is 100% correct (31112). When SOH gives FinnCap something to work with, fiscally-wise (is that even a word?), you can be sure it won't based on hyped nonsense, but real data. IMHO, TW should know this, blaming FinnCap is a cheap shot. FinnCap simply don't have enough sales data to offer a reasonable stab at revenues without help from OPTI BOD. Less than 12 months since LP-LDL went commercial and SlimBime only in GoFigure until recently - It is simply too early for revenue forecasts. You are correct of course, when you highlight the number of PI TW has brought to the OPTI table that may otherwise not be. Slarty is also correct, many (including me) arrived at the OPTI table on the back of our own DD. I wonder which of the two camps will be happiest? Don't misunderstand me, I'm as frustrated as the next PI when I see those 10k sells drip in on the back of a great RNS - have also been very pleased to have the opportunity to accumulate, because unlike so many, I am of modest means, especially after taking so much money out of the market to build on the back of our home. We need to remember these RNS's are all looking into the future, we haven't had the blockbuster RNS with a household name yet, but I firmly believe we will. Not because it believe TW will get it right, just like a broken clock, but because I believe in the OPTI BOD to do what is right for shareholders. | elrico |
