That's my reasoning too, I'm also here because of SOH
He won't stand for any shananagans this time round, he's held his grip to find the best deal. He must have the patience of a Saint, the poor man, the flack he's had from some folk.( oh, it's all jam tomorrow brigade ).

I first started researching the company, the science ( I only have a little knowledge about the pharmaceutical industry ) so that helped...
But once I researched SOH, pardon the pun, but that was the icing on the cake for me!
As you quite rightly said
He's been there and got the t-shirt.

Good to see STBX up too today.

Bernie

There are bigger players on here trust me.
Don't believe everything that's posted on a bob? 😉

I hold a good amount here and Sbtx to be blunt as the microbiome space is the next nirvana.

The reason I'm way overweight in both is soh and not the sector.

I'm a businessman and you can have the best usp or idea in the world but having he patience and experience of previous mistakes are the 2 things that make the difference. If you or I had found an amazing invention or breakthrough we would be gung Ho to do a deal not really bothering what the bidding company did with that science.

Soh has been there, done it and got the t-shirt. That previous sale to 3M has taught him to stand firm and control the deal and the science.

After all he is the largest private shareholder.

This has the smell of napalm in the morning.....or months ahead but definitely ii interest long overdue.

All I'd say to extg holders is Sbtx gives a nice opportunity to ride the same train again. Same science, same people and world leading institute in its field.

Well it's just a feeling so let's see. It is a strong feeling though.

City broker praises 'interesting' deal

"The announcement is interesting in that TATA recently launched its own GOS related first general health product and is a major supplier of pharmaceutical industries both within India and globally," said finnCap analyst Lorne Daniel.

Parob, as much as I hope you’re right, I feel like it’ll probably drop down a little as often happens a day after an RNS. I think the lack of movement here in the past two years has made me somewhat cynical :)

Would imagine that the other companies already in discussions with Opti might want to speed things up after this exclusive deal for Tata......especially the other biggies......

SOH starting to sound REALLY excited in that interview. Think this Tata deal is going to be huge for OPTI. SOH talks about their global reach. India is just the starting territory.

Optibiotix signs 'very good' manufacturing deal with Tata Chemicals

14:17 05 Sep 2017

Stephen O'Hara, chief executive of OptiBiotix Health plc (LON:OPTI) tells Proactive's Andrew Scott they've signed a manufacturing agreement with India-listed food ingredients giant Tata Chemicals.

It is an expansion of a deal the two inked last December and gives Tata, part of the Tata Group, the exclusive rights to produce a sugar from OptiBiotix’s LP-LDL probiotic strain.

It is clear TATA are expanding its presence in this area and it should be note OptioBiotix are the only company with a GOS which has a recognised specific health benefit (reducing cholesterol) so this fits their strategic intent and their existing network of distributors and global reach.

Pilot was a term introduced by the lawyers as scale up goes through different levels whereby you increase the volumes produced whist optimising the conditions to enhance yield; Its legally correct but clearly TATA are unlikely to sign this off unless they had the ability to take to full scale manufacture as this typically requires an investment of £500k-£750K.

Is there another company with the same potential of scale up sales in multiple territories, with multiple partners, both small and large, with multiple products, and multiple revenue lines with no cash drain on scale up, with cash dropping straight to the bottom-line and has the potential to broaden your portfolio without further investment from you, other than your patience?

From The Times article:The deal with Tata Chemicals, which follows TRIALS in November, is limited to India, but Optibiotix is in talks with other companies about manufacturing the sugar in markets, such as the US.(Would be interested to know what these trials were)Stating the obvious, but deals in other territories on these sugars will be much easier and faster to close now Tata are on board. They will know that Tata will have conducted extensive dd prior to this announcement!
