That is the first half decent, i do say half, posting from this guy MONKEYWENCH 1

I will say that it will be a great day for shareholders when OPTI issue a RNS, which is finally welcomed by the Market and acknowledged as a strong positive insomuch as producing a good and sustained upward movement.

Should that scenario take place, then at that time, if any shorter does exist, they will surely then be burned to a cinder. The point made by another poster about there being a naked short account on the Berlin Bourse Exchange is interesting. I think SOH had to out some disclaimer on the OPTI website when this was last mentioned. I do wonder, sometime, just what the House Broker do for their fee.

Making money in other shares can be worthwhile, but i have to say (from experience), it is not easy, even with general market having been in such good form over the past year or so.

For example, just look at that former holder of OPTI, the poster Griffin, he recently announced that despite his liking of OPTI and his opinion that it's share price will do well in the medium term, he reluctantly sold out for a (in his opinion) better perceived opportunity. He apparently decided to put his cash into SDX at about 65p as he thought this share would perform better in the short term. SDX produced a RNS on Friday and lost 12 percent, down to 54p. It is a problem in making the right choice.

this is the opti thread.

the big rampers have been ramping this for months to no effect.

many shrewd investors have been making money in other shares whilst the lambs follow the rampers - opportunity cost.

i will add to my small investment here when and if the jam arrives.

Just caught up on dozens of posts and it's all second guessing.

The world markets in general are jittery.

Speccy summed it up for me that I can't believe we can buy at mid 60's.

I'm all out of lose change as someone put it but what's in the pot will be held whilst this plays out.

First few orders after launch and I would bet the board will be buzzing again.

Until then if your in sit back and watch from afar it's far less stressful.

Anyone buying shares these past few days have been picking them up at the same price as they were in Nov 2015 and look how far the company has progressed since then. We are now moving into the commercialisation stage and I can see investors who have recently pulled out, piling back in as the next stage of the company's story unfolds.

When SOH was giving a £60m value for a strain based on £6m sales that example was for LD-LPL - that would be fantastic but let's not forget SOH is more excited about their microbiome modulators and SweetBiotix so I can only assume those divisions could be worth multiples of that figure should all go to plan. It's hard to put a figure on what a company with sweet calorie-free natural sugars (that come with a health benefit) could be worth. Wouldn't any company rather add that ingredient than sugar? At the recent presso, SOH said we are way ahead of the competition in that area.

SOH was also particularly excited about their microbiome modulators. From the results:

The ability to create designer ingredients which can modify an individual's microbiome to improve health places OptiBiotix at the forefront of global microbiome research and product development. This is a significant scientific breakthrough and has the potential to substantially increase the Company's value.

Fingers crossed the stock has found support at 65p and with the launch of LP-LDL this coming week, we'll start to see things turn around.

I notice the rampers are upset at being called out. You couldn't make it up.

Aye, jh, and as I've said a few times, new blood required.

The current investor base is running out of loose change down the back of the sofa.

Pathetic volume today, lowest since mid-March, even the sellers are running out of steam. So perhaps 65.00p will hold - though my preference would have been to see a capitulation spike down to 60.00p.

Elrico as I have have said a few times recently, OPTI share price rises are like a house being built on rubble. The shares are being bought mainly by retail traders and short to med term retail holders. Very little buying is being done via Institutions and long term retail holders. Hence the rises and falls (70-90% )To stabilise these wild fluctuations a stronger institutional register is needed. The one notify able II YSF is looking to be out in around 3 years. The company needs stronger foundations to its investor base.

Risky - I see what you mean and agree it happens, it's called hedging. My point (poorly explained) is there probably isn't a lot of borrow about so where does manipulator get there borrowed stock from? YSF, Seneca? There aren't a lot of options and I would imagine Finncap would be on the blower to SOH.

Elrico I meant opening the short st 85pish the same time as bringing price down through selling the shares bought at 65p all at a profit. Coordinated effort. Profit both ways. Shorts must be closing soon I bet we'll see 70+ again next week

Risky - I think your theory is closer than the short conspiracy. Opening a short now would not be the ideal time, even if there were stock to borrow. 2 of the 3 platforms I use are maxed out, "close only" and the 3rd ETX want 100% margin.

Key focus is LP-LDL launch next week. Several news items could transpire in addition to whatever develops at Vitafoods. Those stopped out these past 3 weeks or so following the retracement have lost any hope of SBTX shares, if I understand correctly. Pity if they have been here for a while and finally buckled for whatever reason. Human nature being as it is, will many have the will to re enter or will they have ploughed their funds into another sure fire AIM punt.

Once again, thank you for taking the time and trouble to contact SOH and post his reply. Always deeply appreciated, hopefully it's calmed the nerves of some folk but have to admit it's very reassuring...
Have great weekend folks.

Friday theory - whoever took those 1.5m shares off ysfs hands at 65p early march could have potentially manipulated this drop. If they held these shares until 85p, sold a few then waited for volume to die down to sell off the remainder in profit through multiple daily 10,000 blocks, they'd still make a decent profit. Now wouldn't it be a good idea to then open a short at this time. Big profit from your 65p entry and big profit from your manipulated short. Seems to have stopped at 65p.... sounds like a film but these things definitely happen. Interesting idea anyway. The drop has been so bizarre it's believable.
