14/1/2017 15:04 | Scotty if have said for many months that we may have had a large non institutional seller. Whether that was Shrewd or not is irrelevant, however it has been a brake on the price. Together with institutional selling over the past 12 months, Opti stock has had its fair share to contend with. With the potential for pretty explosive news and no substantial overhang, the share price Could rise to new highs very quickly. I'm expecting 80p over the next few weeks, without news. | john henry
14/1/2017 15:01 | belgrano i had already said "not that it matters" of course there is nothing wrong with taking a profit that is the name of the game, but when someone like shrewdmole who with his "top ups" holds 100s of thousands and could swing the share price in a stock like OPTI for a short time anyways.I just believe that while they are adding all these top ups and posting all the positive stuff (then go completely quite)that they are more than likely selling and that just isn't the done thing in my books. Anyways that's my last post on the subject and gl to him and all other holders, good things await hopefully. edit Much prefer a poster such as John Henry who also holds a good few and he had no qualms about posting when he sold a good few if my memory serves me correct, and i don't believe people on the thread pulled him down for doing so. | scotty1
14/1/2017 13:54 | cant really blame investors for not posting that they are selling, sometimes they do get verbally picked on, so tend not to shout about it. Nothing wrong with taking profits in my book, or exiting when you think the stock will slide. in hindsight he probably dis well, but has clearly been watching closely for a optimum time for re entry. However he's clearly completed "due diligence", if hes been talking to our CEO about the company, and judges now a great re entry time. | belgrano2
14/1/2017 11:52 | JH looks like shrewdmole to me as he posts on the same stocks on LSE as shrewdmole on these boards,i said last year that i thought shrewdy was selling when he went quite, not that it matters as it is his prerogative whether to sell or buy, but he always posts top ups but never posts when he sells(not on this thread anyway),he just posts now and then that he as nothing to add at the moment or like he posted above the bb as got like a playground.Trust no one on the bbs. Of course i could have it all wrong and they could be completely different people and i will be the first to apologize if i'm wrong. As far as OPTI looks like it's onwards and upwards with loads of deals and news that should be on it's way gl all | scotty1
14/1/2017 11:08 | I'm presuming the LSE poster was Shrewdmole? Exactly the same content (apart from the selling last year part) | f3rdinand
14/1/2017 11:03 | Parob there's a guy on LSE, posted yesterday that he had purchased 100k after being a seller through last year. | john henry
14/1/2017 10:05 | Still has the brass neck cheek to continue to ask questions but so above yourself so as to NOT answer questions yourself, as far as i know you are not Royalty, you and your tiny friends can huddle up together and plan your next 'illuminating' anti TW post, what a sad life you have. | neftanikoff
14/1/2017 09:57 | It's great to have shrewdie back on the main thread isn't it? shrewdie's a big hitter. Post 10609 on the main thread he owned 600,000 shares. Topped up limitless times since. Posts 11255, 11435, 12040, 12784, 13361, 14650, 14746 (119,000) 15284 and yesterday post 18678 (100,000). He/she must own 1,000,000+ shares now I'd imagine. About £700,000 worth or 1.3% or thereabouts of the issued share capital. Is this correct shrewdmole? | michaelmouse
14/1/2017 09:37 | Indeed it's great to have you back Shrewdie! Was that your 100K at 70.75 or was it filled in smaller chunks? Just trying to work out if that's a new II buying... Looking forward to seeing finnCap's research note and target price when it's released. The very last research note was by Hybridan back in July: The target price at the time was 106p; since then there have been a number of developments, with the most significant IMO being the scientific 'breakthrough' where OPTI discovered microbiome modulators, novel oligosaccharides which increase the growth rate of bacteria already in the gut AND enhance a biological effect, for e.g growth of lp-ldl: "1. Demonstration in human gut models of the ability of its microbiome modulators to increase the growth rate of specific microbial species in the human microbiome. This has now been demonstrated in multiple species, including OptiBiotix's cholesterol reducing strain (LP-LDL (TM) ) 2. Demonstration in human gut models of the ability of its microbiome modulators to enhance a biological effect, such as cholesterol reduction. In the presence of microbiome modulators, OptiBiotix's cholesterol reducing strain (LP-LDL (TM) ) showed a threefold increase in cholesterol reduction OptiBiotix believes that this is the FIRST TIME that anyone has demonstrated a targeted change in the microbiome leading to an enhanced biological activity and improved health benefit (cholesterol reduction)." "OptiBiotix has demonstrated the ability of its novel oligosaccharides (carbohydrates that consist of a small number of sugars) to reduce cholesterol in human gut models by >20%." When they state 'more than 20%', is that an average figure across different groups? From the cholesterol results last April (before the breakthrough): -- 7.2% reduction in LDL cholesterol (bad cholesterol) averaged across the whole test group So does the 'more than 20%' relate to this group? What about this high cholesterol group (again these results are before the breakthrough): -- 36.7% reduction in volunteers' who had total cholesterol levels higher than 6mmol/L Could we be looking at a much higher reduction for those in this group, for example a 40%, 50%, 60%++ reduction? At this stage we've only been told it's more than 20%, but it could be much much higher - perhaps we'll find out once the scientific publications are published and/or when our cardiovascular products are launched. Would welcome anyone's thoughts on this. What kind of value will finnCap put on this breakthrough? It's a first! IMO once people have cottoned on to the trend reversal/chart we'll have plenty of money still sat on the sidelines piling in next week. Let's remember you can still buy in under 75p, the price SOH's brother paid in the Dec 2015 placing. Barchart is signalling a buy for the first time in months and months! I think I know which way the way the share price will be heading next week! | parob
14/1/2017 09:18 | Thanks for the info Shrewd, I said yesterday that the dynamics of the market had changed this week we've seen some large EOD sell blocks appearing but the share price moving up on the day. 25k 20k 10k sells being easily absorbed by the market. The share price has been in a near 15 month downtrend, a new phase and uptrend is most likely just beginning. The news that has been delivered and news that is expected could move the share price to test old highs Quite sharply. Sentiment has certainly reversed. | john henry
14/1/2017 09:07 | Hey Shrewd welcome back m8. | john henry
14/1/2017 08:57 | Shrewdmole Thank you for sharing that info, truly appreciated. Good luck with your investment | joyjoy13
14/1/2017 08:56 | Yes, welcome back shrewdie. It's been a while. You must be close to a discloseable interest soon hey!! I think your right for an exciting 1st half of the year. | mouse20
14/1/2017 08:47 | Post 868 - doodlebug4 - Yes probably still as thick as thieves. A very appropriate expression. | michaelmouse
14/1/2017 08:08 | I've been here just not posting as it all got a bit playground on here. Now the real action is starting I'm increasing my stake. | shrewdmole
14/1/2017 07:45 | Nice to see you back Shrewdmole. | 1marcr
14/1/2017 07:18 | Well guys I added 100k here yesterday after waiting for an eternity to see the reversal start. What was very interesting is the comments made to my broker when he rang round the mm's to try and fill it. The response was basically a no BUT if I wanted to sell in any size they would take them off me!! All mm's said they were buyers of Opti not sellers hence I ended up chasing to fill the order all day. Not that a few pence makes a difference. Fincap said they knew of a historic seller so tried them and came back with a comment that they won't sell anymore at these levels. From the horses mouth so take from it what you will. I will be adding further as funds allow. Going to be a stellar year and in particular Q1 and Q2 here. | shrewdmole
13/1/2017 22:08 | Parob, We don't need any Tea Readers here Hold, sell or buy your choice Let the companies news do the talking | judijudi
13/1/2017 21:16 | Another post from the LSE bb, might as well clog this thread up with PRO OPTI POSTINGS,rather than the usual anti opti, TW, SP, HSR, biased rubbish. Also, i see the 'new' guy who inherited opti shares and then sold has appeared, no surprise there (all friends together), i am surprised the other new poster Adam something has not posted here, sceptic that i am lol Al75Today 20:01I bought 100k shares today in Opti. I'm not wedded to it but believe in the science having met and spoken several times with Stephen. I sold a large chunk last year in Opti mainly for personal reasons but I've been looking for a re entry. How on earth can you start a post with I know nothing about the company. An Opti investor last year saw opportunity cost eat into their portfolio but this is proven science and science that is becoming more prominent as the next generation in healthcare and well being. When....Opti decide to agree terms with a major player this price will start with a 1. It may swing a little and fincap who are house broker were the one keeping a lid on it today but my broker when he enquired via MM for 100k a few weeks ago could get it below offer. Today the response was we are buyers not sellers if your client wants to sell any we will take it. I've not heard that sort of talk for a long time. I will be adding further as opportunities allow. Please do yourself a favour and do some proper dd and then you will see what's coming. Prof | neftanikoff
13/1/2017 21:12 | WHAT'S THIS ENTERTAINING SHOW, is it Morecambe and Wise show, is it the Laurel and Hardy show, is it the Chuckle Brothers, no by golly, it is the new 'kids' on the block, the Mouse and and Bug show I had to chuckle at " the personal vendetta seems more than plausible " , for Mouse to talk about such things when he has the biggest vendetta of anyone, seriously M'Mouse, surely you see that is funny. You will not heed the undermentioned piece of advice from a poster on the lie bb, but have a gander just the same. You choose not to answer awkward questions, but i'm sure you will reply in your usual way to this post. took a position Today 19:02, here earlier this week. Every share I seem to be in so far seems to be shot down by share prophets so thought I'd try one that they actually support. Fingers crossed. | neftanikoff
13/1/2017 21:05 | whl2 My sentiments exactly! Great end to first full week of trading. I'm adding on those dips, and I'm now wondering should I have purchased more? Hopefully those 60's are behind us now! Good luck all May those pennies be turning into pounds sterling And for those on the diet May you loose the pounds in weight. I start the diet tomorrow, will let you know how I progress. Have a great weekend | joyjoy13
13/1/2017 19:49 | A smoke screen I think, ADVFN, Shareprophets, Hotstockwahtsits still as thick as thieves! | doodlebug4
13/1/2017 19:30 | doodlebug4 - Fascinating stuff. I have to say that none of it would surprise me in the least. His double standards are just jaw dropping. Posts 865 and 866 are very interesting indeed. What really irks me is his pretence at being the good guy. A good cover I suppose. The personal vendetta seems more than plausible. I notice that relatively recently he launched an attack on ADVFN. Previously he hadn't said a bad word about them for obvious reasons. Of course when they "binned off" his investor shows he turned nasty and went on the attack. | michaelmouse
13/1/2017 19:12 | I think we've all deserved a drink tonight folks - even if this hits £1 I'm still not selling any | whl2
13/1/2017 19:02 | Post 864, it has also been alleged that he puts pressure on companies to "buy" exhibitor stands at his UKInvestor show on the understanding that he will agree to stop posting negative comments about them on his social outlets. | doodlebug4 |
