05/1/2017 08:33 | Not sure what to make of RNS. Has Jim failed to negotiate decent agreements and been moved on? There is no suggestion he has been headhunted for something bigger and better. Why leave such an exciting company as OPTI? In any event the new guy appears to have a good CV. | nashwan123
05/1/2017 08:11 | straws even | scotty1
05/1/2017 08:10 | Now that's what I call clutching at "rns straws" for a good day! | judijudi
05/1/2017 07:57 | Per looks to be a really good appointment. He must have undertaken his own "due diligence" backed by his extensive and relevant CV - must like what he sees and hears. I smell a good day ahead. | tightfist
05/1/2017 07:04 | Another brick in the wall, lad looks to have a good track record too - excellent! | whl2
05/1/2017 07:03 | RNS Number : 3790T OptiBiotix Health PLC 05 January 2017 OptiBiotix Health plc ("OptiBiotix" or the "Company") Appointment of New Commercial Director OptiBiotix Health plc (AIM: OPTI), a life sciences business developing compounds to tackle obesity, high cholesterol, diabetes and skin care, announces the departure of Jim Laird by mutual agreement and the appointment of Per Rehné as Commercial Director. Per will join the OptiBiotix Board subject to completion of the normal regulatory due diligence. Per has many years experience of the food industry, having worked for some of the world's leading food companies including Danisco (acquired by Dupont in 2011 for US$6.3bn), and specialised food ingredient suppliers including roles as Managing Director of both Frutarom Nordic A/S (A subsidiary of Frutarom Industries Ltd) and Innotaste Nordic A/S. More recently, Per has worked as European Director of Health and Nutrition at Cornelius Group plc which under his leadership became the company's fastest growing business unit, quadrupling sales from a low base to double digit million pound revenues in less than three years. Per has extensive experience in building business-to-business sales through commercial partnerships and working with manufacturers and distributors to rapidly grow sales revenues in international markets. A proven Commercial Director, Per comes with a wide network of contacts in the food industry and a track record of closing out commercial deals. Per is a qualified food technologist and is multilingual in English, Danish, German, Swedish and Norwegian. His experience of food, health, and nutrition markets will help drive commercialisation of OptiBiotix's growing pipeline of products and create multiple revenue streams across all technology platforms. Stephen O'Hara, CEO of OptiBiotix, commented: "Per's experience and track record of growing business-to-business sales of ingredients and nutritional products brings operational commercial and industry expertise to OptiBiotix. His network of contacts provides access to new international markets to help drive revenue growth from OptiBiotix's growing pipeline of products now entering their commercialisation phase. These include OptiBiotix's patented SlimBiome technology for hunger free weight loss and its LP-LDL probiotic strain for cholesterol and hypertension reduction. This is consistent with the overall aim of developing multiple revenue streams from both consumer and pharmaceutical products across all OptiBiotix's technology platforms. On behalf of the Board, I would like to thank Jim for his hard work and dedication to the Company and we wish him well in his future projects." | someuwin

04/1/2017 23:32 | Someone said earlier cash is king. Well Santander are about to reduce their interest on saver accounts from 0.10% to 0.01%. OPTI is a much safer gamble! | nashwan123
04/1/2017 22:45 | Not in one go....sip so it mixes with saliva for better results. | elrico
04/1/2017 22:38 | jj - worth noting that if you don't drink the shake when it is 'freshly' made, it gradually gets thicker and thicker. The 'instructions' do say you should drink it straight away. Best wishes - Mike | spike_1
04/1/2017 20:59 | Misconduct, Thanks for milk suggestion for the shake, much appreciated. When I thanked Max for his advice yesterday I mentioned a few of us where trying the diet. He's replied and wished us all the very best with the diet. Seems like a really genuine guy whose committed to helping folk loose weight in a healthy and controlled manner. P.s. Good to see share price rise again... Let's pile on those pennies in OPTI to add to our pounds ( sterling ) daily. But loose those unwanted pounds ( in weight ) via the diet! Slowly but surely, that's the way to do it. Good luck all | joyjoy13
04/1/2017 20:05 | Woodaldo - I may be wrong, but somewhere in my grey matter I can hear SOH saying he is not targeting fizzy drinks market at this stage, but more health supplements markets. | elrico
04/1/2017 19:54 | Interesting article about diet soda's and potential health risks associated with them on the bbc Love to see know how our Sweetbiotix was progressing. Opti, just has so many strings to this companies bow that I'm feeling cautiously optimistic for OPTI this year (then again I was last year!). | woodaldo
04/1/2017 19:35 | Twas the time before tweets but I recall a certain Mr Ratner putting out some negative views on his own company... As I recall he was none too impressed with the family jewels. | 1bokke
04/1/2017 19:32 | You must have had my grammar head screwed on because read as though you comment was specific to OPTI...which would be a fair comment but not unique to OPTI ;-) | elrico
