23/11/2017 13:38 | Judi - you can't just sell 300k into thin air someone has bought these. If there was not a buyer the stock would have been dropped in chunks on to the market seriously effecting the price. | riskybusiness1
23/11/2017 13:34 | 'SlimBiome into food products helps customers to manage their weight loss (typically 2-3lbs)'2-3lbs weight loss per week is widely recognised as a safe and healthy amount... I expect they're going for a medical device claim which would put this on the same level as XLS Medical which sells absolutely shed loads. | riskybusiness1

23/11/2017 13:22 | Stephen O'Hara, Optibiotix's chief executive, said he was delighted, especially as it recognised the innovation and scientific credibility behind SlimBiome."This award reflects the growing scientific and consumer evidence base which show that the incorporation of SlimBiome into food products helps customers to manage their weight loss (typically 2-3lbs) by reducing food intake without food cravings." "This new approach to weight management contrasts with many existing products which lack strong scientific rationale and typically rely on customers' self-control.""Hunge | primal123
23/11/2017 12:38 | As usual advfn estimates not accurate 71.1p was a £5k top up not a sell ... Suspect sales and purchases quite evenly balanced just now. Suspect in coming months and years this will change somewhat. Am a big convert to slimbiome has worked well for me and really excited to see a) improved formulations of go figure but more importantly b) ties ups with knighting foods and recent awards. And this is only a small but growing part of the story ... | meganxmas

23/11/2017 08:22 | Yep....for those who like lots of research....Opti looks to be a stonking investment... | bobdown2
23/11/2017 08:18 | Bob, It loses 60% of its inherent value? Love to see where you've got that from. If you view Opti as an extremely early Berkshire Hathaway of the microbiome sector you'll start to understand what Opti are doing. As with saying Opti have no leverage, with a majority 41.9% holding you can bet they have significant influence if they require. Anyway, yesterday's award for Slimbiome shows exactly what the industry think and we may have underestimated its potential. | riskybusiness1
23/11/2017 07:47 | Re Parobs post An award was also presented to the “One to Watch” business, in recognition of the firm that achieved highest growth. This was awarded to York Science Park-based Optibiotix Health, which develops ingredients to aid weight loss in the global food market. Alex McWhirter, chief executive of Finance Yorkshire, which is one of the company’s investors, accepted the award. He said: “The fact the business has been recognised with this is a fantastic achievement. “We invested in the company in 2012. It was a modest investment but what impressed us was the firm’s research and development plans, it’s commercial ambitions and it’s management team. “It listed on AIM in 2014 and since then it has really grown. The research and development capabilities continue to grow and the big ambition it has is commercialising for the future, which hopefully will make it one of the larger companies to look out for in future reports. They really are one to watch.” | mouse20 |
