Never knew Healthy marketing team worked with Benecol. From their website:Http://www.thehmt.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/09/Benecol-case.pdf BRAND REPOSTIONING & GLOBAL ROLL-OUT CASE STUDY: BECOMING THE GLOBAL EXPERT IN CHOLESTEROL LOWERINGTHE CHALLENGEBack in 2008, Benecol was a well respected functional food brand. However, it was under attack by better-resourced competitors in dozens of different countries. While Benecol was still recruiting new countries, the company lacked clarity about what the brand should stand for and how it should behave. The challenge was to bring clarity to the company's marketing, and therefore clarity to it's consumers...THE APPROACHHMT performed a Strategic Roadmapping together with Benecol. We tested brand scenarios with consumers, and found different results in different countries. Based on Wennstrom's FourFactors® a 'Market-Stage Model' was developed.THE SOLUTIONHMT identified an over-arching 'Expert' Position for Benecol. To bring this 'Expert' position to life in different countries, we highlighted Best Practice examples, and ran Brand Workshops.THE RESULTSThe project gave immediate positive effects on Benecol sales. HMT delivered two key resources that were shared with all countries: – Pathfinding Marketing Manual = a step-by-step tool for identification of competitive advantages– New Global Identity Guidelines (developed with DesignBridge), that matched the new brand identity and could be translated into various formats.Ingmar Wester,Inventor of Plant Stanol Ester, Benecol:" I have to say it's amazing the positive changes we've seen to the brand since your team joined our 'family'. When I compare where we were that first day, with where we are now, I feel really happy."

Nashwan - You're asking me to go over well trodden ground - I'm sure LTH's would rather I don't rehash it all over again.

If you missed it, you can read it all over again until your heart's content ;)

Hi Amlotlong
Appreciate your feedback.
I'm delighted you've made good returns and made wise choices, takes some nerve.
As I said, it's not for me.
I wish you well.
But it's a case of this is how the market operates these days, things have changed from my early days. Pop an investment in and wait five ,ten years etc etc...
All different and each to their own.
I'm just delighted I'm a holder, so alls ok in my world... Feel confident made best investment decision of my life here...happy to wait with very long term view!
God willing I'm around to spend the fruits...

GLA

We are in an uptrend.News expected on multiple fronts.I doubt we'll be dropping to low/mid 60s.I've noticed that the price often rises on the day after an RNS like today's.Crazy to sell at this stage but each to their own.

Joy, I am a trader.
I traded Opti until late summer and made a reasonable return. A fair bit more that just maintaining a holding would have realised.
More by good fortune I then bought in for a longer term holding when the price went into the 50s in late August. So I have a gain from that. But I was hoping that by now that news would have been sufficient to have stopped traders like me making the predicatable price swings and for the price to have broken out of the trading range.

I must confess I am thinking of realising my current gain and seeing whether I can buy in at 60 something again. As at today, on balance, I think there is more chance of making a gain doing that than expecting the share price is likely to be £1 by xmas.
It's all a risk game....and next year I'm sure it will be a different investment altogether. But I am not wedded like some on here to a much longer term holding.
