"Optibiotix - another major deal, this time for Slimbiome: BUY, BUY , BUY

A big deal with a real name and a serious player which will lead to material profits for Optibiotix (LSE:OPTI). What more could we lucky shareholders want? These deals are racking up and will clearly leave the company reporting profits in 2019 and very big profits the year after. That is not discounted in the share price, currently 74p to buy.

The deal is with one one of the UK’s leading specialist ingredients suppliers, Knighton Foods which is a subsidiary of £326 million capitalised Premier Foods – a company that last year genewrated sales of £790 million so it is a very real company indeed. The agreement gives Knighton an exclusive licence to manufacture and supply OptiBiotix’s SlimBiome weight management technology in the United Kingdom, in return for 50% of the profit, with an agreed cost of manufacture and minimum sales price per kilogramme.

Knighton supplies a range of high quality, value adding, functional powdered foods, specialist ingredients and finished products, to some of the countries major supermarkets, high street coffee houses, and best-known household brands. Knighton’s advanced powder technology was key to developing an improved version of SlimBiome, providing enhanced solubility and better product presentation, greatly improving flavour and mouthfeel.

We are told that SlimBiome “will be supplied by Knighton as a specialised functional ingredient, into a wide range of finished products for use in the retail, vending, and ingredients sectors. Knighton will use their best endeavours to promote and expand the supply of SlimBiome®, bringing it to the attention of product innovation teams across their wide range of customers.”

We noted the other day that Optibiotix had in recent months signed 6 deals on LPLDL and that each could be worth £250,000-£500,000 in year one and rising thereafter. We speculated that another 4 LPLDL deals were likely in the next few months but that following that there would be similar numbers of deals for Slimbiome and then sugars. Well now you are seeing Optibiotix start to deliver on Slimbiome. This is just one territory albeit a big one and with a big partner.

We stated in our big report the other day that as these deals rack up there is no reason why profits by the 2019 calendar year could not be £4 or £5 million with the potential to double that the year after. Such growth would easily merit a PE of 20-25 and as folks wake up to all that implies the shares will re-rate big time. At 71p-74p the market cap is still just £57 million. Do the maths!

Note the Steve O Hara quote today: “We believe working with Knighton, and similar partners around the world, provides the best opportunity of meeting the requirements of major retailers and the growing interest we are seeing in SlimBiome® from partners worldwide”

I am happy with my OPTI investment and the deals being struck - the attractive business model dictates that revenues are uncertain for some while - not a problem to me. IMHO it's IP and Blue Chip relationships that eventually count, especially for an AIM minnow.Much more exciting is my Slimbiome weight loss. After 10 months I have steadily reduced by 30lb/14kg and if my weight creeps up (on breaks, holidays) Slim. enables me to get get back on track within 10 days.Happy chappy tightfist!

Ironman, no it isn't but as you have seen LONG TERM HOLDERS will be rewarded here. Not only with the way the company is going but also with shares held in multiple countries. If people cannot see this they are honestly stupid, SOH has done everything he has said he would. This is the time to buy not sell with the shares so cheap!

That's a fair point. But it's useless having those taking a profit crying about the share price

Love the name!
Okidoky,
Why are you still here then if your not long?
Your username suggests that style of trading, pardon me if I've got that wrong.
I'm not having a go at you, just wondering that's all.

If folks arnt happy with lack of figures, IMHO, they don't get the model of how any share in this field works...
I've knowledge of pharmaceutical industry so I'm very happy with progress so far.
Just my point of view but do empathise with folks looking for figures.
Its about looking at the big picture, not just short term s/p.

I wish you well with your investments

No one think, that with the benefit if hindsight, this was overvalued before all this news? Over valued in terms of the company not being able to convince the market of the value of its IP? As lots have pointed out £55m for a company with neglible revenue was a hefty valuation seeing as it not really changed with all the new deal structures now in place.

imnotlong .. I think the general agreement is because these RNS's do not confirm any concrete £££;£ and a lot of traders seem to be following OPTI and just scalping any advance.

Yeah, I agree with that. They'll get caught out eventually. I have a feeling any news of Sweetbiotix will be a bit of a game changer in terms of sentiment.

Agree with fact that downside of TW is he attracts great following of traders....
Hey, a profits a profit.
But I'm no trader, haven't got the nerve..

As I said though, be interesting to see if traders get burnt fingers sooner than they think?
One day this will rocket and never fall backwards...

IMO anything that changes the current 68-73p range will do it. It could be anything, even a few large buys where the drop back to 68p (ish) isn't as predictable. But truth be told...I don't know sh*t. I'm simply guessing..

Hi John
Yeap, sounds like the go figure working.
I felt full and therefore ate less when eating solids! Chuckle...
Your alternating at the mo with your diet, so that weight loss, I'll stick my neck out and say, might of doubled if just on go figure?
But at end of the day, any diet, it's one we feel we can follow without duress. That's the key to sticking with it.
Your method works for you and it's great you've found a combination that others could try too if so wished.

Loungeact, I think you are right (and I did that until late summer).
So I don't know how that will change until figures are disclosed in a RNS.
Maybe traders can play this out until 2018.

Think the share price has become rather predictable and traders are taking advantage.

Hi joyjoy,
Funny enough, that's not the reason I'm a bit overweight. It's more that I love food and have learnt a lot about cooking from my lovely wife.
As well as liking the liquids too.
What I have found though, is that I don't feel a need to eat as often.
I'm hoping that that's the Slimbiome at work, rather than Autosuggestion.
Another half stone and I'll be happy.

All the best,
John

joyjoy.. as Trotters mentioned some time ago .. we seem to have quite a following of traders who are not looking at RNS's and only look at short term % gains

So why, after all these deals, does the share price still not advance and, as Judi says, someone still knocking them out?

Great RNS
Ab Fab comments on board, can't really add to them as its all heading in the right direction.

John,
Congrats on weight loss.
Plenty of water too helps.
Have you found your sweet tooth disappearing yet?

p.s. I suppose only thing I'm weiry of is those jumping on board below 80 with target sell at 100 brigade... Yes, short term great for share price but will we experience sell off at 100 mark? Be interesting to see how that acts out...
However, anyone who understands the concept here won't be phased long term because, IMHO, £1 will be considered a thing of the past all in due course.
I'm long term holder, not going anywhere!

Regards that point, it might be worth them just getting rid of the original packs, even if it means losing some profit.
Because if this is your first experience of using the products, it might put some potential customers off, or at least put them off of re-ordering.
It hasn't put me off, but then I have to admit that I'm biased in being heavily invested here.
Just a thought.

Jester, yes I think so, like a lot of these powders if they are difficult to mix it outs people off. Sounds like Knighton have been helping to create a product that dissolves more easily.
