13/3/2018 07:09 | good up date | solarno lopez
12/3/2018 09:56 | Because he might not have been cogniscent of the need to issue equity at that point. But a placing is utter speculation. I very much hope not otherwise the shares will tank. | andycapp1
12/3/2018 09:42 | If a dilution was likely why would Gupta have taken scrip at 26p instead of cash in the dividend? | the original goldbug
12/3/2018 08:38 | Let's hope the falling coal prices have arrived in time to avoid this sort of carnage!!! | jozo
12/3/2018 08:29 | Oh yes I agree would be horrible. I’m not sure Gupta could survive it and I’m not sure the family has got the money actually. But yes we’d end up at 5p or something, if they could get it away. | andycapp1
12/3/2018 08:17 | Andycapp, It has crossed my mind that they may be forced to raise some cash through a placing. I can't see Gupta relinquishing control so would have to stump up himself. My concern is that any dilution at these share price levels would have to be significant to raise a meaningful amount of money. Think my maths is correct but raising just 30m would require a near 50% dilution! | jozo
11/3/2018 22:12 | If you filter me Flowerpothead, why do you respond? I keep asking you to actually post something useful to the valuation. And you fail every time. Rubbish like Indian GDP is growing and you improving capacity factors (the PLFs are already high) add nothing to the equity debate. If you want to post then say something interesting! | andycapp1
11/3/2018 22:07 | I do wonder if it might? The EV is very skewed despite the non recourse financing. It’ll dilute Gupta which might be a good thing. | andycapp1
11/3/2018 16:36 | placing coming | opodio
11/3/2018 14:26 | The 'non holder' speaks again from his darkened room. Top of my filtered list. | azalea
10/3/2018 17:06 | Plus some cash flow contribution from the new solar, I would hope. | lizardman_
10/3/2018 09:35 | A saving of $8m dollars, cheaper coal and shipment costs. higher PLF and increased tariffs should paint a much better picture in FY 2019. | azalea
10/3/2018 08:59 | Azelea,A 'drop in the ocean' :-) compared with bigger potential financial issues facing the company. It does however improve supply security. | jozo
10/3/2018 07:48 | If not already, OPG should soon take delivery of its new 64k ton freighter with its last instalment of $8m, paid. Running costs will be covered by saving in shipping costs from Indonesian and a continued fall in the price of coal in FY 2019, should add to the bottom line. | azalea
09/3/2018 15:00 | Given the choice, I'd like the 40p option, please. | jeffian
09/3/2018 14:04 | Yes the group captive status potentially adds £20m of EBITDA and so is a big determinant of value. Without it and assuming current coal prices, OPG equity is virtually worthless. With it and assuming coal prices say 10% lower the equity is probably worth over 40p/share. So its a really big deal, the more so given the gearing. | andycapp1
09/3/2018 13:15 | Down trend in coal prices seems to be holding, down from around 106 in January to 95 currently. | turbocharge
09/3/2018 05:33 | Recent comment from PGIT results. On a more positive note, in its September 2017 interim results released in December, OPG confirmed that the Gujarat plant has received authorisation of its ?group captive? status, and the plant will for the first time be selling its entire output through this model. This should be a material addition to profitability in its financial year to March 2019, and, we believe, is underappreciated by the market | jhan66
08/3/2018 09:20 | March coal spot prices now below 100 US$/ton- first time since mid November. April futures indicating prices similar to Aug/sept/oct last year. Also indicating drop of 10% from current levelsLet's hope that opg have managed to get through these last few months without too much damage. | jozo
06/3/2018 23:17 | Gentleman, your good humour is much appreciated!! Chins up. | andycapp1
06/3/2018 17:49 | I think you mean Turkish Baths. Saunas are dry heat! | jeffian
06/3/2018 17:28 | you tend to get them in saunas | chalky
06/3/2018 16:15 | I've got 'em all in my garden - long-tailed, Great, Blue, Coal - but I ain't seen one of those! | jeffian
06/3/2018 16:09 | 'steaming tit', now that's an interesting phrase... | turbocharge |
