31/10/2016 11:18 | The important bid price ticked up @ 62.75p for 10k. Edit: 12.35hrs - 63.25p. Tick tock, | azalea
31/10/2016 09:15 | Problem is persistent seller(s). As I say I know a couple of institutions are not happy and are presumably sellers and this has been going on for a long time. If the company would just signal intent to buy back shares, given the poor liquidity, that might do it. But persistent selling with sporadic buying - and the buyers tend to start then stop when they realise the depth of selling - is not going to rerate the shares sadly; whatever our little flower thinks!! | andycapp1
29/10/2016 07:02 | ...& within minutes of his "purchase" it goes back down. ...an unfortunately familiar story as too many on here I guess. Another little reason demonstrating that sunshine pumping OPG, or any share for that matter, is poor practice and kills any decent debate on what the company should be doing to get better. Let's see if it is yet another real life lesson that Azalea takes or ignores. Regards,Source. | source
28/10/2016 15:14 | Good to know Azalea. My confidence in this share grows with every purchase you make. | andycapp1
28/10/2016 13:38 | With the share price steady on a Friday,I have joined other majority of buyers by added circa 5800 @ 63.9p; 23 'market' days ahead of the Interims. | azalea
25/10/2016 17:36 | It is a pity as is the case on many threads that one poster, in this case Azalea, can wind people up simply by their thick skinned approach to others who demonstrate a contrarian view. I do not have a position in OPG currently but do take an interest in reading posts by virtually every other poster on this thread who, almost to a man, have something to contribute to the debate and which helps to sway my opinion as to whether to re-invest. The petulance and crassness that Azalea has just demonstrated puts those posters on an even higher level from such dross as Azalea who must be treated as does a cow when a fly lands on its backside...ignore it or swat it away. Regards to all. | marvelman
25/10/2016 15:42 | Afraid he's pretty adept at base language to posters on this board Marvel man. To a point I can tolerate that, however the equally base thinking he also demonstrates consistently here is far more annoying and damaging to decent debate on OPG. Blind cheerleaders for poorly performing companies (wrt market performance) unnecessarily obfuscate what OPG is doing wrong. Regards,Source. | source
25/10/2016 15:14 | marvelman Please see my EDIT, 2824. Moreover, if you think your post was inoffensive, you are a bigger idiot than I thought before. | azalea
25/10/2016 14:11 | Wow. Totally uncalled for Azalea. I had said that no offence was intended and that it was just my opinion. As an FD in real life I would not have called myself an amateur in financial matters. Clearly I have hit a nerve which must have prompted you to such base language but it takes all sorts. You have chosen not to see the point I was making and your response above debases you even further than my previous opinion of you. | marvelman
25/10/2016 13:06 | Obviously, you are an amateur in financial matters. If you think people file tax returns in which they claim losses on shares they have not sold(which is fraud),then its not sand you need to get your own head out of, but from somewhere else where the sun does not shine; at least, not in the real world. EDIT: /1500HRS NO OFFENCE INTENDED MARVELMAN JUST MY OPINION. | azalea
25/10/2016 11:36 | "My philosophy is you make neither a profit or a loss until you actually sell" Dream world thinking. An investor who bought shares at 90p which are now trading at 60p are obviously WORTH less than they were originally bought for (although that is only after taking ones head out of the sand and seeing the reality). Edit No offence intended Azalea, just my opinion. | marvelman
25/10/2016 11:16 | Polythene OPG is very much working out for me, my latest purchase on the 19/10 was 5850 @ 60.25p, which apart from giving me a paper profit, has significantly lowered my average. My philosophy is you make neither a profit or a loss until you actually sell. I fully expect to recover my modest paper loss and move into a paper profit before the end of FY 2017. However, I will not be selling, because apart from collecting 2 annual dividends, I fully expect to see FY 2018 top the excellent numbers forecast for the current year. If you have access to the data supporting the numbers for FY 2017&18,and think them plausible, then I do not need to tell you the benefit of my averaging down at his point. As you will know the share price peaked at circa 107.5p, when capacity was a mere 270MW: today it is 750MW. IF Q1 this year were notably down on Q1 2016,I would be concerned; however we know that Q1 2017 alone, was £50.5m against £128.4m for the WHOLE of 2016(£100m 2015). Given the two latest plants are still increasing their output(Interims-1/12 If the CEO was concerned about debt, he would not have embarked on a course of paying a maiden dividend, with brokers forecasting a higher amount in 2018. You pays your money and you takes your chance. | azalea
25/10/2016 10:35 | Most of the shareholders who post on this board have lost money as the stock is at a 3 year low. The fact that most people are currently down on this investment explains the passive aggressive nature of a large part of the discussion. | the original goldbug
25/10/2016 10:10 | Surely you have lost money Azalea since you have been recommending buying since we over £1. Sorry that it's not working out for you. Sometimes blind loyalty to a company is bad for your wallet. What do you think? A 50% rise from here will bring me back to the point of my last buy. My overall average is in the high 60s, maybe low 70s I haven't checked for a while. So this company's share price performance has been very disappointing from my point of view. You? | polythene
24/10/2016 19:53 | Oh dear. upset are we genius? | azalea
24/10/2016 14:49 | Searing insights as always! | andycapp1
24/10/2016 13:45 | Today's volume, above the 90 day average, with 4:1 buys v sells. Much more positive travel for the share price in the run up to the Interims and beyond. | azalea
24/10/2016 13:39 | Hello!! Movement!! | andycapp1
24/10/2016 13:16 | Hello...Regards,Sour | source
22/10/2016 11:57 | Ah - thanks Andycapp1 - I thought it was a management/sharehold -- also noticed the Rupee has been falling a bit for the past few months (not that it seems to help OPG up when rupee was getting stronger though!) Regards, Source. | source
22/10/2016 08:44 | Source if they are domiciled offshore then you have to hold your meetings and exercise control from offshore. | andycapp1
21/10/2016 21:02 | Who the heck has their AGM in Isle of Man when all the shareholders are in the UK? SMH. Regards,Source. | source |
