16/2/2021 15:43 | Afternoon all - anyone hazard a guess as to when this Ethics Committee sign off will arrive? If the studies are meant to be finishing in May, the date for approval can't extend much beyond the beginning of March, can it? What are others expecting? | felchandbart
16/2/2021 15:39 | Solid companies like Orphan do well, unlike a lot of AIM dross. | greenelf

16/2/2021 15:04 | greenelf16 Feb '21 - 13:57 - 12123 of 12125 LOL, 😂 I have only made 3!!! Oh well. I just can't get my heard around some of the valuations at the moment. Companies with 100 and 150m markets caps, next to no revenue, burning cash for England and people are pilling into them. It's madness!! Fair play to those getting in and out and making money but there are going to be some burnt paws. Of course you only ever hear about the winners. When it gets to this stage you really do have to think how long before this stops. | m5
16/2/2021 14:33 | As always look at what people do not what they say, the government say strong recovery meanwhile they tell the banking sector to prepare for negative interest rates. | pogue
16/2/2021 14:09 | The 'official line' in a Times article touted by someone I neither know nor have heard of is - 'the economy will rebound strongly'. The sheep love statements like this because it reassures, they can then carry on doing whatever it is they do, eat, drink and make more little sheep. The first problem is - what does 'rebound strongly' even mean, what are the supporting figures and where is the empirical proof. A sensible person may conclude that this is unchartered territory, that behavioural habits that underpinned once 'normal' activities may have changed. Businesses without artificial government support are therefore now likely to collapse. Any 'strong rebound' may occur for some businesses but not all and a strong rebound from a low base at that. We are not out of the woods, vaccine or otherwise, and government debt will be a shocker for years to come with treasury eyes taking a microscope to all and sundry in order to pay this this down. Conclusion, trouble ahead, don't fall asleep in these markets. IMO | owenski
16/2/2021 13:57 | Ps. I cannot be bothered trawling through all your posts lol. | greenelf
16/2/2021 13:55 | We have been in a difficult time, but we are coming out of it now. Can you not see what has changed? | greenelf
16/2/2021 13:37 | Quite the opposite, can see a boom happening in next 12-18 months. Lots of pent up spending power. Competition will fill any market gaps. Plenty of money seeking investment in the world. Plenty of opportunities. | greenelf
16/2/2021 13:37 | M5 just wondered if you had taken profits on the rise the other day , it has cost me more than once | arab3
16/2/2021 13:25 | Those that survive will fill the vacuum of those that that go under. Pubs, holidays you name it. Plenty of competition. | greenelf
16/2/2021 13:24 | greenelf16 Feb '21 - 13:01 - 12112 of 12113 Markets look forward that's why we have this bubble now, taking all that into account, then reality kicks in. That's my take anyway and I genuinely hope I am wrong. Markets are massively stretched IMHO. arab316 Feb '21 - 13:15 - 12113 of 12113 Written off but technically yes. It has half a chance now the oil price has increased. | m5
16/2/2021 13:21 | greenelf so you assume there will be no companies going under and no personal bankruptcies? I think we are at the tip of an iceberg the only thing stopping it is money printing which can only gives us ruinous inflation at some point. Are you assuming all companies come out unscathed from CV19? Genuinely curious. | pogue
16/2/2021 13:15 | Are you still holding HUR. M5 ? | arab3
16/2/2021 13:01 | Disagree, with covid vaccines the world is going to come out of this strongly. | greenelf
16/2/2021 07:50 | Bo Doodak, the Chinese will and anyone who does business with them knows this and they know it also.... It is why Cathal is aiming for one off payments per Chim to get them started, pointless doing anything else. | mark10101
16/2/2021 00:50 | Listening to that latest presentation again, all good info & plans, but couldn't help but wince when CF stated the Chinese might nick stuff! He should be a tad more diplomatic, especially given he's apparently still in negotiations with them. | bo doodak
15/2/2021 23:01 | And tomorrow morning the uncrossing will surely uncross itself... | supernumerary |
