Under Mifid 2 every trade has unique markers that report to the LSE who gave the order, for which account and who is the beneficial owner of the account. Big data analysis then links individuals together and trading patterns in different stocks.

This has been around for 6 years now. Hugely intrusive I know but trust me all this data is available at a press of a button.

What everyone seems to be overlooking - there's more to insider trading than just company information. Having access to knowledge that an institution or fund is going to be taking or exiting a position, or knowledge that a company is talking about a potential financing is also insider trading (I bet there are more definitions).
It, thus, doesn't necessarily mean that the company has done anything wrong even if it's their shares being dealt in a false market.

If connected to the Irish investors that used to be in oil stocks they operate with massive leverage. Would help explain the constant selling all the way down.margin calls?

Yes alot of guff about nowt. Co's share confidential info with 3rd parties all the time it's a BAU activity. You can't always control of that in confidence piece.

There has been a crew of dodgy Irish investors operating in the AIM market for years. Will it be the same gang that used to trade the AIM quoted oil stocks in US?

They always had massive leverage.

So our insider trader has been released without charge,with the file being prepared for director of public prosecution as per the national broadcaster RTE.

Typical protocol for a white collar crime.

What a gift to buy today will prove on a 1 year view there is a 100% upside IMO. £50m revenue, £20m cash as of September and profitable as well as a world leader position on Human Challenge Studies and working with 4 of the top 10 global pharma companies. The share price disconnect cannot last much longer.

The Company is aware of the media report relating to the allegation of an incident of potential insider dealing in the Company’s shares by an unconnected private individual in 2020.
The Company confirms that it was made aware of this allegation by, and at their request, is helping the relevant Irish authorities in respect of this allegation.
The Board of Open Orphan is satisfied that there are no implications for the Company in the resolution of this allegation and confirms that no employee, executive, director or anyone connected with the Company had any involvement whatsoever in this matter nor are they suspected of any wrongdoing.

If you were CEO of a publicly traded company and someone has being flagged by the Central Bank and arrested by police for insider trading of your companies shares I'm sure you would inform shareholders..
