17/9/2023 19:57 | At the presentation they guided on nim for 2023, but did not guide for 2024. Also they have significant maturing debt to refinance shortly and observed that whilst it was issued at a discount to sonia, replacement funding will be at a premium and sonia has risen sharply. The buy in is due to complete shortly, i wonder where this will settle without it. | flyfisher
08/9/2023 18:11 | Key stats Market capitalisation £1,442m Dividend yield 9.36% OSB profit warning reaction may be ‘excessive&rsq Share price falls in buy-to-let lender OSB Group (OSB) could be ‘excessive&rsq Moss holds the challenger bank in his £117m CT High Income (CHI) investment trust but said it had been a ‘key reason for the portfolio lagging the market’ in August following a profit warning. ‘The update described positive current trading for the company but did warn there would be a substantial hit to this year’s profit as a result of the rapid rise in interest rates,’ said Moss. The bank highlighted the rapid interest rate rises, which have changed borrower behaviour. ‘The move away from floating towards fixed interest rates is less profitable for OSB, hence the profit warning,’ said Moss. Citywire Elite Companies AA-rated OSB has indicated that the impact is likely to be around 30% of last year’s profits, or less than 10% of market capitalisation of the company pre-warning. ‘The loss should largely be restricted to this year, which, if true, would make the fall in the share price excessive,’ said Moss. ‘However, after an upset of this scale and nature, it would only be natural for investors to demand evidence of a successful recovery before reassessing and rerating the shares.’ OSB Group shares were trading at £3.22 on Thursday. | pj84
08/9/2023 09:17 | I hold these together with Stb. The latter has a more bullish chart, or should that be, less bearish..? But I haven't heard any negative analysis of either management so I continue to assume all is as stated and market is simply getting these wrong, along with so much else atm. | brucie5
07/9/2023 13:08 | Would hope they are making the right call buying back such significant amounts of their equity. SP may indicate the market expects further challenges ahead?. | essentialinvestor
01/9/2023 08:39 | From today's IC: concerning its recommendation of Global smaller Cos IT (GSCT) Within the UK, one of the trust’s largest holdings is buy-to-let lender OSB Group (OSB), whose shares slipped in July after the company announced a write-down in expected income from its mortgage book | brucie5
24/8/2023 13:37 | Ex-div today. 10.2p (interim). | dendria
21/8/2023 15:27 | Taking another big whack from the ugly stick today. Any ideas why? I'm now fully loaded, thinking that the worst was over. Oops! | lord gnome
16/8/2023 15:33 | Happy to add a few here at 374 hopefully before the next move up :) | parob
14/8/2023 12:49 | A healthy pull back following the recent strong surge. Now looking good again for the next leg up. | thebutler
12/8/2023 17:43 | I also think if the ftse 250 had behaved it self we would be over 400 | portermj
12/8/2023 12:17 | Well I couldn’t understand the move after the figures to 368 but having had that the news since directors buying the dividend held and even raise , up grade by broker so all in all not a bad two days . | portermj
12/8/2023 08:42 | Nice to see a director buying lots of OSB shares: "On 11 August 2023, the Company was notified that Andrew Golding (a PDMR) purchased 25,250 ordinary shares of £0.01 each of the Company." | thebutler
11/8/2023 10:46 | You never know we might be going over 400p before the weekend. Again that would be super bullish, but if not today one day next week surely. | parob
11/8/2023 08:16 | Won't be long until we get a close above 400 then it will be onwards to next target of 475.Love shares with great dividends that give you strong capital gains potential too. This fits the bill perfectly imo :) | parob
11/8/2023 08:12 | Nice start. Looking very strong here. | thebutler
11/8/2023 07:41 | should be underpinned by planned MREL issuance, which should free-up further CET1 capital.hTTps://twit | parob
11/8/2023 07:37 | Baron Investments tweets #OSB one of strongest performers of late. Peel Hunt after results: the PE is <4x for 2024E and the yield is in double-digit terms excluding buybacks. Given the 14% CET1 target, the group retains the firepower to continue buybacks (and special dividends) in the future and this…. | parob
10/8/2023 17:03 | The sellers and buyers data is not reliable, it really is mostly meaningless. | rcturner2
10/8/2023 16:16 | OK ! I am a fool and someone will explain to me what I am missing in my thinking. How can a share price behave this way. 85% sellers 15 % buyers and a V big increase in the share price This is not uncommon with OSB and sometimes I have put down to the buy back but after many years of investing this is really odd. | welshbob48
10/8/2023 14:02 | Very nice move and I think much more to come in the near future as the market digests the interim results and realises the drop was overdone a month ago. Dividend investors jumping aboard. | parob
10/8/2023 13:38 | US inflation for July just in, and the 3.2% is slightly better than the 3.3% forecast. Hopefully the UK will follow suit next Wednesday, giving a further boost for all. | thebutler
10/8/2023 12:47 | The analyst call seemed to go fine. I suspect as anaylsts digest the results and realise the EIR issue a bit of a one-off and that underlying performance is all good, they will gradually recover towards 430p or so. Exceptionally cheap at these levels. | riverman77
10/8/2023 10:37 | Yes would expect the recovery to speed up now there were no nasties in those results. | parob |
