Nice movement up today. There will be more press coverage as applications for the Revue are revealed. It has the weight of Microsoft behind it, so expect it to be a success.

Morning Abbey,

I have not seen anything, but Im sure it will have got a mention some where.
This is one to try and be patient with I reckon, very limited downside, and huge potential upside, just take a look at that longterm chart above, the share price was 60p just over 12 months ago, and since then there have been new product launces, and now the IP licence with Microsoft!!!

Tick up I see

8-)

With so many different applications, the wearable personal camera could become one of the biggest 'must have' gadgets of 2010.

New products and new contract wins coming up. OMG know exactly what this technology will be used for.

Microsoft aren't going to let just anyone use their product. Expect to see news regarding its application soon.

Abbey,

OMG licensing FROM Microsoft. The question is how much OMG have PAID and what the potential market size is. Is it conceived mainly as a way of enhancing and leveraging existing technology & products (eg. Yotta?) or are they developing a whole new family of products?

OMG plc

("OMG" or the "Group")

IP License Agreement with Microsoft
- Vicon signs license agreement with Microsoft to develop new medical technology
-

OMG plc, Oxford Metrics Group (LSE: OMG), ("OMG" or "the Group") the technology
group providing image understanding products for the entertainment, defence,
life science and engineering industries announced today that it has signed an
intellectual property ("IP") license agreement with Microsoft Corp.

The agreement will allow the Group's Vicon arm, which develops motion capture
products for the life science, engineering and entertainment industries, to
manufacture and sell devices incorporating Microsoft's SenseCam technology
worldwide.

SenseCam is a wearable digital camera that takes photographs automatically,
without user intervention. Developed by Microsoft Research Cambridge, the device
is most commonly used by medical researchers as an aid for people with memory
loss, but has great potential in a number of different application areas.
Research into these areas will be possible now that it will be more widely
available.

Vicon will unveil a new device, which is based on the existing SenseCam
technology on its stand #1413 at the annual Neuroscience Conference in Chicago
on 17-21 October.

Ahead of the device launch OMG plc Chief Executive Officer, Nick Bolton, said:

"I'd like to thank Microsoft and Microsoft Research Cambridge for allowing Vicon
to get involved in such an important product that can support a variety of
researchers, including those investigating memory-loss. It's an honour to work
with Microsoft and to build on the amazing work they have done with SenseCam
over the past five years.

"This IP license agreement means we're the first company to be able to deliver
Microsoft's ground breaking technology to a wider audience. All of us at OMG
look forward to working closely with Microsoft and the researchers that have
been using SenseCam Project technology and continuing to move it forward."

Andrew Herbert, Distinguished Engineer and Managing Director, Microsoft Research
Cambridge said:

"Microsoft's willingness to license intellectual property arising from its
research enables partner companies to bring innovative products to market. This
agreement represents the next stage in the life of SenseCam and will bring the
device to a broader community."

I looks as if there is a bigish seller that keeps selling 10-40k chunks when there is no buyers around. The underlying business still seems to perform reasonably considering the economy. It needs a breakthrough with a decent size defence contract to kickstart the share price.

Any idea what's going on here? The market has recovered considerably from its March lows and yet this is back where it was in March. Now OMG is worth less than half of annual revenue! Seems a bit ridiculous to me.

Thank you for that link. Growthcompany Investor have got their figures round their neck I think, or is it Evolution? The trouble is, it is grossly misleading and could cause a share price collapse. They say full year forecast eps is 0.9p and so PE ratio is 28.9. OMG made 0.9p eps in the first half alone, so is it expected to make no profit at all in the second half? I think not. Ridiculous!
Evolution may mean OMG will make a further 0.9p eps in the second half, so giving a total of 1.8p for the full year and a more modest forward PE of 14.5.
I have seen this sort of mathematical misunderstanding before from experts who should know better and think before disseminating false analysis on which investors might be persuaded to act. I have seen them in other cases using half year eps as though it is for a full year and then commenting that a share price is too high etc.
