The churn continues. This BTC price calling business is no easy task. So which way from here at $40K?

First stop $30K or $50K?

Well, well well! Here we are again at $40K! We got up to around $47K. And.... generally any number with 7 is a good time to short (see the NUM thread). 7 is used in casinos and slot machines. 7 I believe is lucky for the house, and not you. Most punters are naturally long, rather than short. So if you did short at $47K, you might be quids in.

So where next? I still stand by post 4507.

I saw a custom big black BMW which was immaculate. It might be a series 6 or 7.
The number plate, I'd happen to see was something like 777 FUD - which means Fear, Uncertainty and Doubt. That bloke must be a professional shorter and spreads FUD to help his trades! I should have stopped him and asked!

No real surprises in today's update. They were already up against very tough comparables but the drying up of the market for fundraisings (IPO & secondary placings) due to Ukraine/inflation-induced uncertainty has really compounded the situation.

Interesting article about M & A., but I would imagine that deals done will be done with regard to consolidating market positions and fund raisings, so there will be money to be made just maybe not in the IPO sector.

BTC doesn't appear to want to visit the lows of the $30K. So far we have rebounded and have rested around the $40K area.

I note that there was an article that the searches for NTFs have dropped by 50%. NFTs can be considered the euphoric moment of the Bitcoin ecosystem.

This is a good sign for BTC bulls, as $40K maybe a new base area. However we could churn around between $38K and $42K for a little while, hurting the little bulls and little bears as the stops are continually being searched for.

Moving on from BTC, we've seen some interesting "numerology" in Brent Crude Oil

If we look at a 1 year chart, the bull move started from $80. It is not an unreasonable area for a move. We had a shortage of oil as the world emerged from Covid, and then the Russian invasion happened. Russian Oil was embargoed, The Nord Stream pipeline shut down and energy prices started to move, FAST.

Brent sliced through $100 like a hot knife through butter, and people were talking about $140 and $200 a barrel. Whoops that cursed it! Brent crude got up to $130, but started to reverse. There was talk of peace and ceasefire in Ukraine, and Brent Crude started to shed the gains as quick as it gained them.

Brent crude was always going to retest a major round number, past the breakout regardless of the news. I believe this number is $100.
