05/12/2021 06:34 | Bitcoin finding trouble here at $49K. Has it got enough to cross the line past $50K? On a Sunday volume is usually low, so I suspect no. | powereddrones

04/12/2021 08:01 | Gold 1 Bitcoin 0? So after a few sessions, BTC bounces a little higher, up to $57K again. Remember 7 is lucky for the house, not for the punter! So in theory we have a trading range band between $50K and $60K, with the active real range as we've seen between $53K and $57K. Outside of that band, we can see stop losses being hit at the lower end, and possibly momentum long traders coming in at the high end. Anywhos, directional trading is difficult and does not come without risk as we have seen yesterday. I wake up this morning and it is a sea of red in the crypto sphere! BTC now stands at $47K as I write. Oh no, another 7!!! My poor Doggy coins! Bad jobs numbers came out in the US and that sent Crypto sharply down - I guess Soros would be stopped out as they were in around $50K. Article Gold is up $15. The CEO and founder of Binance (one of the largest crypto exchanges) and probably one of the youngest billionaires in the world, once said he doesn't trade (directionally) as it is too hard. It is easier and probably lower risk to the take the fees and make the spread between the buyers and sellers on his platform. Today is a text book example of how technical directional trading can turn on a dime. So does this mean Gold 1 Bitcoin 0 ? The gold space has been the laggard and one should look having an exposure because you'll catch the bottom when no one's looking. In the long term it is difficult to call the actual top in Bitcoin, so the easiest thing to do is manage your risk and thus exposure in this market. If you can't sleep at night because your exposure is too large, Jesse Livermore once said to sell down to "sleeping point". I.e. Reduce your position size! So where now for BTC? I'd hoped $50K to be well defended, but someone took the rug out from beneath the bulls feet. Stunned, and shocked, we may still claw back above to $50K but this might be a ceiling. The El Savador government buys more Bitcoin on this second dip. But when do you stop averaging down? Paul Tudor Jones said losers average losers. I think it is probably worth waiting for a little bit - for me $50K is still a key round number, and until it passes that again, there might be better places to allocate capital to, IMO. I had some concerns with the market recently because when you watch some crypto related videos, one of the most upvoted comments was that people agreed that people were being stupid for trading in BTC for a Tesla car when it is depreciating asset. Oh we have so much to learn young Padawan! We know the price of everything but the value of nothing. If you have many BTC and could afford a small percentage to buy a Tesla, you should as you can get many hours of use out of it, and the return in value is not measurable in terms of dollars. It might even help you get to work or another opportunity. Money is to be used in a virtuous cycle, not to be hoarded! --- For those hurting, sometimes BTC hodlers can sometimes take a step back and laugh at themselves. It helps. Funny - watch! Given the opportunity set available to the Investment Adviser, it believes a capital raise of £125 million would give it the funding required to execute the majority of the likely follow-on opportunities available to the Company into early-2022. Considering the total pipeline, including some of the larger new investment opportunities, the Investment Adviser believes the Company could readily invest up to £175 million of fresh capital, with the aim of both accelerating growth in the portfolio, and to selectively add new investments. Historically, the Investment Adviser has been able to deploy funding efficiently, and expects this raise to be committed in a timely manner... | speedsgh

26/11/2021 08:52 | After a few sessions in and around $57K, Bitcoin has dropped a bit, it briefly hit the neutral number of $55K. This morning, Bitcoin is at $54K as I write, I consider it in no-mans land here. The short term trend is down, and I expect $50K to be tested but it should be well defended.
