Doubt it. NTOG will also have to farm out probably 75% NRI to raise money for the drill. A rising oil price is definitely the best time to build an oil company but not necessarily to best time to aquire assets.

The 200-300 rate will be the expected stabilised rate, not initial.

$1. 3 to $1.6M to drill 1000 feet in the permian basin plus completion.So its 5M plus to drill a well. This is not a turnkey price so the risk is all on NTOG if the drill company makes an error.$ 50 dollar net back is a 5 year pay back which = uncommercial as industry standard in my opinion.Not glass half empty guy. Just experienced !

Multiply that harsh calculation by 8 then oilbuy - 400-480 bopd which easily doubles the present turnover and all, except one eighth of the first well is 100% working interest to NTOG...

It is value accreetive on that basis. Sellers today are taking profits on the recent 35% gains and will not be inclined to hang around for a repeat of Autumn 2017 for some reason.

You are probably one - glass half empty type? This is a big move for a junior oiler, and you know it. The chance to invest early is now.

What about decline rates. Decline rates in the Permian basin are 14% per annum after stabilisation.Stabilisation on a 200/300 flow rate will be 50/60 bopd.Just saying !

The target is 200-300 barrels of oil a day from this new acquisition per well - and they believe they can drill eight at Mesquite.

308% increase in acreage is one thing but those figures would multiply NTOG's daily production by 600% or more...that is the prize Matt has targeted.

As the financing is well supported it makes sense at 4p a share to grab some for the ride. Not worth penny-pinching fractions having digested this news, especially as the market considered we were worth 5.6p last January before we were cash flow positive and had increased our own production!

The news is indeed a 'leap forward' imho. This is the start of the run up to the options set at what appeared to be a fairly challenging 8p - possibly before Christmas as this news gets prepared. Engineering firm development appointment and drill plan is next.

Well they should be confident because we already have a very significant under-valuation here based on what we are already producing, have 21 other drill-ready sites permitted and increased workovers adding to the producing plays.

With oil rising and forecast to continue to do so into the winter months, it can indeed be seen the latest news is 'transformational' for such a small cap company as NTOG.

All done on positive cash flow and a nice equity line which is serviced at just 4.75%. No dilution and plenty of excitement as each play is opened up.

It is value enhancing as we are buying from distressed sellers having had to sell up as they can't service their own debts built up when oil was sub-$30. These poor outfits couldn't retain their assets to exploit and, as is the way of the world, others can cherry pick.

Matt has done exactly as he said he would in that regard...all for around £6m m/cap?!

Seems very good news today. Always thought these were a bit of a value trap as it was hard to see where the growth was coming from.
Matt seems to have sorted that today with 200-300BPD/well.
