What's with the recent rise on volume in Northgate? Have they been tipped? Is there another bid coming, this time over £12?

If they trade below the placing price (1065p) it's a disaster and they should be sold.

The Spanish side of things is doing well and expected to continue expanding both turnover and profits for the next two to three years if I read things right....whilst at the same time the uk end has slowed somewhat and is expected to stay slow thus leaving a (Temporary????? but) marked difference between uk and Spanish prospects. Again, if I hear things right....it would be a small step (in the UK) from owning and hiring vehicles to actually doing the complete fleet management job for some other company fleet owner operator; Thereby stripping out a lot of costs for that owner operator and producing significant extra t/over for Northgate. The next small step would be for Northgate to take over both ownership and fleet management of these additional opportunities. Does this make sense to anyone else and are there any fleet candidates out there??

Lucky - The firm you are referring to is Northgate Information Services whose epic is NIS - the car hire firm has its bases up North. It appears ADVFN has got into a muddle in "recent news".

Update for Northgate holders.
The HQ building in Hemel Hempstead has been destroyed in the Blast. All the floors have heavy damage and the building is subject to structural damage and will need demolishing.
I am not sure how this will impact the company as it is insured against this type of problem but the destruction and loss of work must create short term issues.

Can't buy as confidently as directors when the price has just fallen through 1000p - but this is a sign of confidence and puts this baby on the radar

I think they're worth about 10 and will be worth about 12 next year. I would buy below 9, and that opportunity may come if the market takes a tumble. Actually I had expected them to fall more than they have now that GH (if it is he) has walked away.

I sold out above 12 so I am sitting pretty with my powder dry!
