Enjoy the weekend.

Another beautiful day today, May has been a welcome change to a long and dismal Winter. Had a session with the tennis ball machine today, Mrs wllmherk had a turn after her run and was surprised how physically tiring it was. It has a 'sweep' function so it can fire the balls left and right, after 3 tubs of balls she was burst. Tennis scheduled for Sunday this weekend.

Finally into positive territory for the year, a year high as I haven't been positive in 2024.

Best Riser: VOD +10.20%

Lovely day today, plenty of sunshine 21C. Potted up some zinnias and cosmos. Then out with the sun lounger for the rest of the day. Only shorts required.

A friend with a van is helping me collect an 'as new' sofa to replace one of ours. I got the old one out to the end of the drive last night for an early collection by the council and it was gone by 7am today!

Out for lunch tomorrow if my wife's flu symptoms have improved. The same goes for a sunday hike.

Trying Lidl's Beef Lasagne tonight , salad, baguette and a bottle of merlot.

Good weekend everyone.

Midfield was our weakest spot last year. We've just signed Antoni Sarcevic who has 7 promotions in his career and recently had promotions with Bolton, Plymouth and Stockport just last season. He's a leader on the pitch which we've been missing for years so we could be looking good on paper for next year. The question is if we sell Young or Pointon to pay for his wages.

Harry Hornet is Watfords mascot. Haven't ever seen him eat a bee, but it wouldn't suprise me if he had one in his costume sometimes with the way dances about.

Decent end to the week for me +0.6%. Creo reversed its loss from two days ago and a good hand from BGO/DOTD/VLX. MEGP only notable faller, and that wasn't so bad. So another decent week - although its going to end with me getting thrashed at tennis this evening.

YTD +7.9%

I've got another 0.8% or so in dividends to arrive this month. My wifes ISA is at an ATH. Mine is still some way off though.

Not a bad week at +0.75% so that takes my YTD up to +5.34% and another all time high, but still not quite enough when you include the monthly contributions.

Lots more boat stuff to do this evening and over the weekend, hoping to have just about everything done by Monday other than refitting the props which I tend to leave until the last minute.

Enjoy your weekends.

Our Rambling Rector is starting to come out. Saw Harry the Hornet nearby earlier, he likes to hover above it and swoop down to catch an unwary bee. Not something I like the thought of but it's nature and he has to eat.

Morning All.

3/7 for me this week, slightly better guessing then usual!

My lot are blue at the moment so hoping for another positive week. Off out for a few hours to do some more boat stuff before the weather changes again for the weekend.

Aleman, the trouble is those 10 pounds that you've lost, will be quite easy to 'find'.

Salmon in sweet chilli sauce this evening, but not before a couple of bottles of beer for the first time in over a week :-)

+0.1%.

A bit of morning drizzle abated and let me walk to the next village. The sun actually came out for a while around midday so we got some decent warmth for a short spell, despite an unexpectedly cool NNW breeze when forecasts were suggesting an easterly. The extra walking I'm doing most days since the cold, wet weather broke (mud dried up) has helped take my weight loss in the last month to 10 pounds. I'm now a few pounds below my typical weight of the last decade and only a half stone above the BMI index upper limit for normal. I still blame the 10 months of appallingly wet weather for getting fat! 21.1C after 1.5C

I bought my HT20 in 2018 and its still going well - it doesn't get used as much these days as we had some large conifers removed a couple of years ago.

Skinny, yes I bought the latest HT50 , longer blades.

Loved the HT20 but I'd given it such a hammering over six years I needed a replacement. This HT50 is very good. I like GTECH's customer service too . On my original HT20 had trouble with the motor after a couple of months. Rang them up and received a replacement within two days
