Anony, do you see any reason for the fall today. Last trading statement was ok if not inspirational; yet ok for me.
Results due out in about 2 months time; can't see an immediate reason to sell in my view.

Well everybody has their views but for me I accept that NXR is not a sprinter and never indeed will be a sprinter. They pay a tidy dividend to keep things ticking over and will IMO slowly over a couple of years be back in the mid 20's but if you are in a rush, then it's not one for you.

Personally I made my wealth by investing in stocks that were a) ultra boring and b) had very little BB hype; in my book boring is good!

Have you been watching things at Elektron and also Toaddy you remember fusey! It would be nice to be in touch again I lost your email contacts a few years ago when my laptop lost its data.

As for Norcross I only hold a small amount and the statement could have been better however sooner or later Europe will improve I see limited downside from here.

End of the RNS..."the Board remains confident that the Group should continue to make progress in line with market expectations for the current year."Revenues mixed (adversely hit by fx), margin in line. Not a bad update.

Tempting fate, but I think this may be a low point for the share price. I don't see further selling pressure.

Rand is back around its 10 year low point against Sterling. I can't look into the future of course, but Rand/Sterling is not a simple one-way mover. A rise in the Rand from here is possible.

Also, eventually the UK consumer will recover.

I don't see Norcross leaping from here (unless someone (happy to take a longer-term view than the market) wants to move while the share price is down).

I'm continuing to hold.

I'm out, the update was very disappointing, UK builders have thriven, this company has lost me money, doesn't look like a recovery play to me.

Disappointing results, SA operations should be disposed of.
I have held this for 18 months and there are better investments elsewhere.
A serial disappointer. My patience has expired. Now the divi's in the bag I'm out.

I'll be out first thing sadly. Update today needed to be very positive for the share price to turn, but I really don't like the overall tone which comes across as negative to me. It's a good business with strong management, but their are too many factors that can take the business off kilter, including the currency issues, mixed trading, pension deficit, etc. Chart on a downward trend too. I'll watch from the sidelines. Good luck if you continue to hold.

Mixed numbers in today's ims. Waiting for the UK consumers' return to economic health. South Africa growing but Rand weakening. Some timing issues.

In time, Norcross should come good (imv).

Overall financial performance should be OK, due to cost savings ...

The cost base restructuring implemented in the second quarter last year has ensured that profitability has materially improved over the same period last year..

Don't know if anyone can help.

In the year ended 31/3/14 Johnson Tiles retail sales declined by 21.4%
On the other hand for the 6 months ended 29/3/14 Topps Tiles increased like for like sales by 10.2%.
There is a mention in the Topps RNS to "direct sourcing"

Would it be possible to infer that Topps do not purchase tiles from Johnson but instead from overseas ?. Without doubt Spanish and Portugese ceramic manufacturers would be very keen to export due to the state of their economies. Additionally UK ceramic manufacturers have been vociferous re the high energy costs in the UK.

Most probably following market down. But the share price over the months is about as pedestrian as a snail. The promise is just never realised.
