I've had a quick look at the prospectus for ADH.

116.9m shares so market cap. at today's closing pice of £6.19 is £724m (NMC's is £497m). It is a lot more expensive than NMC (or has higher growth priced in)-even more so after today's fall in the NMC share price; net profit for 2012 was US $60m,for a P/E of 18 compared to a P/E of 12 for NMC.

NMC's AGM tomorrow.

IPO today for Al Noor Hospitals Group Plc based in Abu Dhabi - 38.5 million shares at £5.75

Haven't looked at it yet in any detail or drawn any comparisons with NMC (as it's not in PDF format it is rather difficlt to read/navigate).

Good recovery over the last few weeks, spurred on by the news of the replacement of the loan facility - it's been very much against the market trend.

Sold a couple of tranches bought after the price fall on 1st May, still have the shares from earlier in the year.

hi val i think above poster did mention r burns had sold his holding and maybe a few followed suit does he have the power to move prices by circa 10 per cent? i just feel after such a rise the market expected more ...simple as that nothing more nothing less...i have top sliced a fair chunk still hold interest .like you i like the potential upside and the story so im still here

Haich, I'm also confused by the drop. I think there's an issue with reading trading updates from recently listed companies - there's no history of how you interpret them and read between the lines. I can only think the market was spooked by 10% growth in revenue and was expecting something like 15%. Still it was only one quarter and new facilities are coming on stream, and they say they are in line with expectations. I think there's value here with the growth prospect at this price.

added another 1000 at 278 too. Could understand the drop if we are on a PE rating of 20 ... but we are now at 8 !!

I also notice that Robbie Burns advised he sold out today. That will have encouraged some other followers to sell. Thats absolutely fine by me - as long as the share price is being influenced by short term trading rather than by some fundamental change in the company's prospects, then we should be back on the upward trend soon.

hi val..how r u..bit confused by drop..eating into my profits i do feel that the statement esp on revenues should of been stronger..think ill relook at the financials ..its a area of growth esp in uae and surrounding emirates ..mmm..

Welcome back. Strange reaction to update. There were 2 negatives - revenue growth was the same for both healthcare and distribution rather than weighted to the former with higher margins (as last year), and a further few weeks delay for the Mussafah facility. But in the context of trading in line with expectations the price fall is hard to fathom. Added this morning then watched it suddenly and briefly fall to 275p!

Looks a good solid IMS this am. I like the increasing bed occupancy: 55 to 64% is some 15% higher. Considering we have a PE of less than 10, still looks undervalued IMHO. DYOR.

OK, i'll be honest; i sold in the last hour having bought in at 260p very recently. It's a great stock and the type i wish my broker came up with. I tend to do my research on a Sunday night and came up with this, what a no brainer at 260P!
Not sure why i sold really; raised £13k in my SIPP as well today so that's 20k
today having been fully invested in all my accounts. If this had been in my SIPP
i probably would not have sold,but, being in my trading account, i took the profit. I hope the share pushes on for holders and the Company itself prospers
because it provides a very worthwhile service.

I can't remember buying a share before that then went up in a straight line over a couple of months without any pullback or plateau. Perhaps I'm getting vertigo but I wonder whether now on a current year P/E of 13.5 we are not getting close to fair value. Presumably driven up recently by funds buying on its entry into the FTSE 250.

Any views on current value and short term price direction?
