02/10/2008 01:38 | "For the six months to 30 June 2008 revenue was £18,000 (2007: £76,000) and the loss for the period was £7.75m (2007: £3.96m). The loss for the period is stated after crediting £0.5m in respect of R&D Tax Credits. Detailed discussions have taken place with many potential interested parties to seek an offer for the entire issued share capital of the Company or its technology. The Board of Directors is not optimistic that these discussions will reach a successful conclusion. To date no interest has been expressed by any party in the hardware products of the Company. As a result the Company has therefore taken the further step of writing down the hardware inventory and lab hardware, within property, plant and equipment, to zero with an impairment charge of £3.48m which has been included in the first half financial results." Should be dead and buried by Xmas. Don't waste your money. IMHO. | unglove
02/10/2008 00:51 | Yes, Bill, that crossed my mind too. I think another option exists whereby the company could be sold to someone wanting exposure to AIM but without having to go through the expensive and time consuming process of obtaining a listing. As i've stated before, i'm still onboard here. I think it's a punt at these levels but that is for people to decide on their own. IMHO | cl2201
01/10/2008 17:21 | hmmm, I guess it exists on paper and is non-transferable to another company... | wolterix
01/10/2008 16:29 | Wolterix - They stated that they used £0.5 million of tax credits in the interims just published, so it looks like they still have £9.5 million to use. | sharewinner2
01/10/2008 16:14 | in the interims, they mentioned a £10 mill tax credit due - anyone know anything about this? btw, they owe Welsey Clover £3 mill plus interest | wolterix
01/10/2008 16:04 | something going on behind the scene. found1.com | poppadomonlinedotcom
01/10/2008 16:02 | typical AIM nng 2hrs ago had a spread of 0.05 to 0.12 currently up 66% but now the spread is 0.10 to 0.15 so a buyer at 0.12 still isn't in profit (if selling at 0.10) | andrbea
01/10/2008 15:58 | what's happening? found1.com | poppadomonlinedotcom
01/10/2008 15:55 | LOL - ramp alert! | double6
01/10/2008 15:39 | up 46% but the offer price hasn't moved yet | andrbea
01/10/2008 12:51 | mcap of £300,000! my co's probably worth more.. anyone tempted? | wolterix
01/10/2008 11:51 | Proud to be Welsh but not so happy to be a shareholder in NNG.I cringe every time I see the publicity re.TM self made multi millionaire etc. | lyndus
01/10/2008 11:40 | Hi Wolterix, hope you are well. My thoughts also, or should I say; probably my best case scenario. It would be a nice suprise to us holders if something was to emerge, personally this is not an expected outcome for me but it would be a nice one to have something saved in terms of money invested. G.L. to all. | sharewinner2
01/10/2008 11:27 | TM gets a n other of his companies to buy it? penny a share? | wolterix
01/10/2008 09:19 | From what I can see closure is likely, they have found no buyers but it does look like they (Sir T.) are racking their brains to find another option. It's obviously a very hard decision to let go. I hope an option is found, I know that is looking very unlikely but there has to be some hope to the fact it hasn't just been tied up. | sharewinner2
01/10/2008 09:12 | It ain't over until the fat lady sings. | cl2201
01/10/2008 08:51 | What exactly is meant by "managed closure"? | sharewinner2
01/10/2008 08:24 | alsmith99 - yes, managed closure. | explorer88
01/10/2008 01:44 | If the 'company' turns it around from here, it would be one of the greatest ever escapes. Then again pigs might fly............ I think it's more of a jump myself. | cl2201
30/9/2008 20:41 | He's embarrassed... & We've been misled! With Matthews track record it is hard to accept NNG's blind failure... Having burned so much cash, without any indication that the product was wrong. What happened to market research? I'm still wondering why Terry is funding a skeleton crew... Is this managed closure? If so, why 4 people, until year end? maybe the company needs to exist until FYend to claim a refund? | alsmith99
30/9/2008 19:21 | Yes, TM will look to use up the losses. He must be very embarrassed about all this. | littlemadam
30/9/2008 16:33 | Which pillocks were ramping this pile of poop earlier this year? Like a lot of AIM its worthless pap. | stegrego
30/9/2008 16:31 | The more I think about this sorry situation the more I think that Terry will have to just incorporate NNG into one of his other companies. With the inventory now written down to zero Mitel could pay shareholders next to nothing and in return pick-up a couple of million pounds worth of VoIP hardware (mostly lab equipment) what a bargain! | alsmith99
30/9/2008 15:48 | Remember John Ackroyd is a Chartered Accountant.... so he's not (financially) stupid! with talk of keeping 4 people on the books for the remainder of the year and with no prospect of sales!! A deal must be being done in the background and this clean-up is in the terms? | alsmith99 |
