Delisting always seemed reasonably likely, but it is not necessarily a bad thing for investors who are prepared to take a long term view, the shares could become very cheap in the run up to de-listing and at least one of the investee companies (Glycotest) now has recognisable value.

Lucky star.

I thought of buying in yesterday new of $3m. Spread deterred me. One has to listen to ants instincts

I see that there is a presentation (released today?) on the Glycotest A series funding on the NSCI web site

There's potentially a $800m annual market in the USA up for grabs by the sounds of it.

A confluence of errors. Not least is early stage bio-tech that is notoriously $ hungry, time.consuming and fraught with risk.

A lesson to all. Before starting a journey check.you have enough fuel to get there. In this case I doubt they even knew how far the journey was. A shame for all concerned.

Is this a case of a company trying to do too much and should have been slimmer to start with?

This does not auger well for so called “”professionals””; that they could not see this right at the beginning.

Looking at the portfolio there is some hope but 40% of one went to Chinese Nov 26th 2018 and must have diluted NSCI (as sole backer) by that amount.

PDS/EDGE merger looks interesting until you peel the onion and the $25M cash won't last long st all with that team list & 70% is PDS with the rest with EDGE. The very careful wording is also a bit of a red flag. It's a long arduous road needing deep pockets and no guarantee of a product outcome.

CTC purification co. looks very interesting indeed except look at management.

A punt but those running the show inspire little confidence and the portfolio will need more cash, may equal NSCI dilution.

It has all come to a head at a very inopportune time too in the ipo cycle & a buyers market.

There are vacancies for clowns at Billy Smarts circus being advertised.

I dont rate highly this managements success in obtaining those jobs, should they put in an application.

A management performance unparralled in its ineptitude.

Presumably as WH are NOMAD, they couldn't be selling if they were aware of price sensitive information (such as them resigning as NOMAD)

All very odd. The value of each of the constituent parts is worth more than the whole.

I managed to sell most at 20p but added a few this AM on the drop. Agree very risky as seems most likely outcome is delisting.

I suppose so, if they have to incentivise management with a “”bonus”” to find a buyer, to do the job that most people would just see as part and parcel of the job and just get on and do ,then this is a very sad reflection indeed on the company.

I dont have a lot of confidence with this company or their management.

One of my poorer investment decisions, and thankfully i just put in a few hundred.

Frankly what do they expect! Waiting in the wings, any buyer of one of the 5 portfolio holdings would be biding their time hoping to deal with an administrator, hence a likely lower price.

They just need to hold their nerve and await events; whilst talking to any potential backers for a placing. Though in reality only Woodford a possible player.

Timbo,

I must say my main worry is just that - a delisting and then issuing prefs as was the case with Sphere - but, is Woodford really intending to engage in such spurious antics to pull the rug from under holders...

If it were to happen here, then I think one could aver this might be a deliberate exercise.

Will see.

Worth noting the news from Angle yesterday (and the share price reaction) which has some relevance when trying to assign a value to Vortex

My notes (from November 2016 and July 2018) regarding the NSCI directors view on Angle vs Vortex

Oct 2016:
July 2018:

I have held Angle passively for a number of years now and have recently bought a few NSCI, but I am wary of Woodford delisting them (as happened with Sphere Medical) and issuing prefs that could leave ordinary shareholders with ords which are (in effect) merely out of the money call options.
