You don't really think that everyone who says they are an investor "with concerns" are actually invested do you? Asides from the obvious whack jobs that just post on her as some sort of social activity, there's also the spreadbetters and MM stooges that have an interest in keeping the brakes on.

The interesting thing about this discussion is that we are all invested.

And as the ink dries on the signatures Mr Orange and us will be out celebrating. I will be buying. Champagne if BCN and NCCL fly together.

I noticed a lot of deramping on twitter over the weekend which I thought was strange, then looking in here there's similar traffic. Very telling.

So a RNS saying that the JDA has been finalised subject to signatures is not "as good as done" in your book whereas in others it is, which is why there's opportunity for some and much less for others in this life.

There is no such thing as "as good as done". When it comes to contracts, there is only done or not done. I am not trying to argue this deal down, as I have a strong interest in getting the signature of all parties on the JDA. But what you are calling a formal ceremony is in law the act of agreeing. Until then, there is no JDA - however happy the parties might be with the wording prior to that point.

Because a draft JDA is as "good as done" derisking event for investors subject to formal ceremony and signature which is another further derisking event.

Keep an eye on yes, use to try and shake investors with tenuous links, no.

Of course they are, all good investors keep an eye on macro.

I remain unsure why they would RNS that the wording has been agreed. That is a meaningless event which will only serve to heighten the anticipation. The only event with meaning is that the JDA is signed.Until (and unless) the JDA is signed, there is no deal.

Johnny see my previous post - as for macro economics - not really a discussion for here.

Mike people are disputing that RNS which is why they are trying to deramp with comments like "China wont let the deal go through because of the trade disputes" which is utter tripe. The delays are because of this size of the project and lawyers across GE NCCL and CMEC refining the JDA.

Out of interest why do you think the delay is ongoing? And the world markets are on the edge of their seat?

Clockwork, I don’t think anyone is disputing that Rns, simply reposting it doesn’t really solve anything. when you first read that on the 29th of April, when did you expect to receive confirmation of the draft Jda being complete. Did you honestly think it would have been issued before now. I know I did, I was thinking a week at the most, based solely on the ‘at any moment’ comment.

Plain English."The final JDA draft is expected at any moment and the Company asks for investor patience during these closing stages."Non-Executive Chairman, Michael Haworth, commented:"Significant progress has been made on the JDA over the last month with alignment being reached on a majority of the commercial points. The final JDA draft is expected at any moment and the Company asks for investor patience during these closing stages. At this time, no material delays in signing the JDA are expected. The Company's successful attendance as part of the Mozambican Government delegation in China for the Second Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation provided an opportunity to raise the profile of the Project and provide the Company's strategic partners with further support and comfort from government."China Machinery Engineering Corporation Vice President, Fang Yanshui, commented:"CMEC is looking forward to realising the JDA soon and believes that together with GE and Ncondezi there is strong confidence to deliver the high-efficiency and advanced Ncondezi integrated power plant and mine to bring reliable power supply to the Mozambique power market."General Electric Power regional executive sub-Sahara Africa, George Njenga, commented:"We look forward to concluding the JDA, the next major development milestones as the Ncondezi project will be an important addition to the Mozambique's energy mix, adding much needed capacity that will further enhance regional energy security."

Exactly, it's the reason behind the delay we are discussing, not the final deal.I'm invested here also.

Only one way to sort this argument. That is for Nccl to finally confirm final draft Jda document has been agreed and is ready to sign. The constant missed deadlines and now the ‘any moment now’ statement over 3 weeks ago has done nothing for investors confidence.

"No one is locked out."Intraday RNS lands on JDA and you will not be able to buy, in volume, at these prices. It's called being locked out.

It's trade negotiations! "It's turning a bit nastier than that" Oh please what will you guys come up with next!!Perhaps you need to read about the belt and road initiative and the goals they have set - getting a foothold in Mozambique with a power plant is just the beginning.GE and CMEC have a history of working in partnership - in Africa.Fin.

This is bigger than "doing deals with American companies" it's belt and road initiative which they will not jeopardise over another transient trade negotiation - i really don't think you know what you are talking about.
