22/4/2021 14:36 | Sky at least I had the good sense to go back in ..well done ..I just hold the zeros | badtime
22/4/2021 07:16 | Lol...feeling the same | badtime
22/4/2021 07:10 | Had to pay 1323p to get back the 1000 sold in my trading a/c; then higher for the 2000 top-sliced in my SIPP. Why sell just to take a good profit? My worst fault! | skyship
22/4/2021 06:09 | Well, obviously sold a few too early - a remarkable NAV increase - £17.37! NB: & with more to come... | skyship
21/4/2021 13:52 | Well, if YOU lot are all bailing then I suppose I best not be left on my own in here... Seriously though, it has been quite the run and I like to leave a little in for the next man. Just not TOO much, hopefully :-) | cwa1
21/4/2021 13:10 | Just sold at 1298, obviously some serious demand out there. | spittingbarrel
21/4/2021 10:42 | BT - top-sliced in my SIPP & sold in my trading a/c - both at 1279. A very nice trade benefiting from what was an obvious anomaly. | skyship
08/4/2021 09:23 | All of the trades around 11.92 this morning are buys, I've just bought a couple of thousand at that price. | spittingbarrel
29/3/2021 16:40 | Back in again today after making a small turn ..possibly too early | badtime
16/3/2021 07:10 | deadly - HVPE disc. = 14.8%. OCI higher at 28%. Always high for very good historical reasons; though management state lessons learnt! | skyship
15/3/2021 23:22 | But HVPE and OCI at least are even better value. | deadly
12/3/2021 10:10 | Just been updating my PE spreadsheet of 18 trusts. Taking a snapshot of 5 of NBPE's peers (ICGT, HVPE, PEY, PIN & SLPE) the average discount = 14.9%. Only SLPE have declared February, but even allowing for, say, an average NAV increase of 1.5% across the others, the average discount would still be 16%. At 1185p NBPE is on a 23.7% discount. To match that 16% figure the share price would have to rise 10.1% to 1305p. Only a bit of fun; but for sure NBPE are again very good value. | skyship
12/3/2021 10:09 | AGREED - Certainly don't tar NBPE with TFG's very dirty brush - one of the most egregious cases of mismanagement on the whole LSE. | skyship
12/3/2021 08:30 | I was concerned about February valuations due to the 2% falls in both the $ & the Euro. NBPE however surprised with high valuation gains, so UP 2.6% in $ terms; and still up 1% in £ terms. Accordingly NBPE are once again outstandingly good value versus their peers. I've bought back in at c1180p this morning. | skyship
03/2/2021 11:26 | These went XD the 31c increased divi on 28th January. | skyship
13/1/2021 07:34 | NBPE Dec. NAV up 11c to $21.11, ie at 1:36 exchange rate = 1552p. Discount at 1160 = 25.3%, higher than most peers. | skyship
11/12/2020 20:57 | I particularly liked the comment below: ==================== Key Highlights 10.3% year to date total return NAV growth and 30 November 2020 NAV per share of $20.42 (GBP15.30), an increase of 6.9% compared to the 31 October 2020 issued monthly NAV estimate of $19.11 (GBP14.78). This corresponds to a total NAV increase of $61.3 million from $893.8 million at 31 October 2020 to $955.1 million Peter Von Lehe, Managing Director of Neuberger Berman commented: "We are extremely pleased with the performance of NBPE's portfolio and its underlying companies in 2020 year to date and believe the 10.3% year to date total return NAV growth demonstrates the high quality of the portfolio's assets. The focusing of NBPE's portfolio to predominantly direct equity investments, together with the positioning of those investments in sectors and end markets which have generally proven to be resilient through the pandemic, have resulted in NBPE's direct equity investments producing over $120 million of total gains in 2020 year to date. In addition, including the expected realisation events in December, the portfolio has generated approximately $188 million of realisations in 2020. Overall, the portfolio is performing well and is maturing and with a weighted average direct equity investment holding period of 3.3 years, we believe NBPE's portfolio is well positioned for future additional liquidity." | skyship
11/12/2020 17:51 | Might increase my exposure to the zeros | badtime
11/12/2020 10:32 | Very solid update and now on an almost 30% discount, which is out of kilter with rest of sector which is typically around 20%. Also pays a nice 4% dividend. | riverman77
11/12/2020 09:51 | Good results. monthly return NAV 6.9% | deadly
16/11/2020 15:05 | Indeed - totally stupid - you have to go to the link enclosed in the RNS. NAV was up 3.5% to 1478p. | skyship
16/11/2020 14:58 | Am I right; the the RNS doesn't actually give the NAV in either $ or £. | alpal2 |
