A bit more appeal since the share price has fallen 6% since the results. Now yielding about 6% covered 1.8 times. Business expected to stay flat over next 2 years. Good safeish income stock if nothing else.

According to pre-close statement, prelims for y/e 31 December 2009 expected on Monday 22nd March. Large number of slide-offs into hedges, fences and roadsigns in my neck of the woods during the Jan/Feb icy weather, I'm hoping this will now be feeding through into increased business for nars.

Looks quite undervalued to me & pays a good dividend. Also, has a strong market position and should continue to do well, by expanding gradually as it has done for a number of years.

Yes, looks like they have held their own in a very tough year. They have a number 1 position in the market and claims experienced will come back at some point, so they look very well positioned. Happy to hold on a 5.6% yield. The company does look undervalued.

can't argue with that really. margins better; net cash at 8 million , no debt.
strip out the cash it is what, a PE of 7. In line means decent earnings growth.
Cheap imv but DYOR and NRI.

legal & general reducing is not helping us make headway but I believe someone is also buying in. hopefully once legal are done, we stand a decent chance ..NRI

Definitely undervalued imo. Presumably all this snow is great for business for the likes of Nationwide. Lots of minor prangs needing to be fixed. Not much fun for the rest of us though!!

there is a pension deficit too but i think the valuation is pretty compelling; volume picking up now (NRI).

IMS due end January hopefully points to EPS recovery in 2010
I can only assume the September sell off reflects a lack of visibility for 2010 ??

I've added to my stake here. Looks undervalued. The last couple of weeks bad weather will also have helped trading performance, so could have a stronger winter performance.

Judging from volume today, looks like some stock has been shifted; perhaps a seller cleared ? Robust balance sheet, paying dividends and seems to have found technical support. Think it warrants a look but DYOR and good luck.

Certainly got to be a long term good bet here, but could be in for a rough 12 months.

I usually have these grand ideas of picking up these really cheap, them some shyster of a tipster bangs out an email highlighting how cheap they are before I have bought in!

Think these will pick up before JCR, so any significant rise here should be tracked by JCR 3-6 months later. Both pretty illiquid and 20% moves not uncommon on small volumes.
