Couldn't NG spin off the UK Grid part into a separate entity as a defence against this?

Should be fun times in London this afternoon. Popcorn at the ready. I doubt the BBC will give it much coverage though. Apparently the far right collaborations, meeting today in various locations in London, plan to make the yellow vest protests 'look like a picnic'...or words to that effect.

An extention for ? Brexit will fizzle out.
Cameron and Osbourne have created chaos then immediately left the stage.

Atlantic57,

They will be forced to go for another extension. Barrier is happy with that as his mandate is to prevent the UK from leaving.

It is likely that the brexit will fail today .

What next ?

There is no point in extending without a plan. I doubt that any of the parties want a general election. Therefore if nothing emerges next week which suggests that we can agree on anythink.

No deal Brexit seems likely.

Corbyn was elected due to the infiltration of Labour by the Momentum Trotskyite movement who have brainwashed young people yet again. They are even trying to gain traction within the LibDem/Green parties particularly at local levels. It was always thus. Traditional Labour members need to wake up and realise the danger these infiltrators represent to pensions, livelihoods and people's natural ambition to improve their lot in life. If Corbyn remains as leader along with his acolyte MacDonnell they will destroy the Labour party for all time and if we are not careful our economy too. Those who contribute to and build society should not be destroyed by idealist fanatics with no skin in the game. Remember, Union members have pensions too!

It won't happen (for a number of reasons, one of which because they won't get elected) - End of. spud

And presumably the information if correct was leaked to the 'unbiased' BBC in the first place, no surprise there though!

I still don't get how they could Nationalise NG given it's majority US interests, or could they just be thinking of hiving off the UK grid leaving shareholders with the US interests?

Wonder if it's too far-fetched to call Corbyn's statements Market Manipulation?

I know that it can't be proved that he profited from the share price move, but he's certainly put investors at a disadvantage, AND undermined public confidence.

When you see Marxist Corbyn being interviewed it is very very clear he isn’t interested in trying to resolve Brexit, he is voting strategically to force a GE, putting his ego before the Country. I hope the electorate see him for what he is!

JC 'delayed' a speech that would have made him even more unpopular lol! Maybe someone told him that he couldn't Nationalise NG due to their majority US interests which I hope is the case?

It might just warrant an investigation if someone is trying to manipulate the market.

Bounty,

If that news was posted 11 hrs or so ago it must have been 2-3 am so is it ( as Newbank has intimated) a young kid posting something that is not entirely true or is it Foriegn markets trying to dump fake news to depress the share price?

Might explain why the BBC quickly took it off the Web.

Croquetman,

looks like the BBc have taken it off. Was it a Left Wing kid working for the BBC trying to promote Marxist philosophy or a leak that shouldn't have been published. Either way something about this news link is a bit fishy. Was it old news or Left wing propaganda or Mm's trying to manipulate the market or what?

Why hasn't there been any more news or an apology or even why have NG stayed so quiet about it?
