What a load of waffle. I'm sure the 26 minutes could be condensed to less than 1.

I thought it was a well established practice for these shysters to *always* trade contrary to their general public utterances?

Exactly salchow! There are two kinds of analyst. Those who don't know and those who don't know they don't know.
Why they ever have any credibility or following I have never fathomed.
Just look at these utterances from Deutsche Bank.
3 Nov "sell" with target 725
10 Nov "sell" with target 725
19 Nov "hold" with target 880
Shows they had no idea, any more than Credit Suisse has now.
About time they were all totally ignored, or better still, abolished.

The forecast dividend this year is 43.6p so Credit Suisse think it should be at a price that gives a yield of 5.59% at a time when interest rates are going nowhere and there is arguably more chance of deflation than inflation.

dgo,

When Many sent letters to NG HR to advise of their intention to retire only to be told by Senior managers not to retire because severance will be offered, then less than a couple of months later, having retracted the letters, the same people are walking away with £120k in severance pay is pretty pretty poor.

Nothing to do with retiring people at 65. With the pension scheme being pretty good for the more longer serving employees not many would work longer than 63.

Yes but you can't retire people at 65 anymore and has been the case for about
three years now.

With SSE at £16, this share is vastly undervalued and should be at least £10/share. Mind you with the £millions National Grid have wasted on severance Payments to thousands, many of whom were about to retire normally at no cost to the Company, it's not surprising.

If the truth came out about all the unnecessary payments it would make the MP Expenses Scandal look pretty ordinary.

FTSE has fallen 6% in three weeks NG has fallen 11%. National Grid is a defensive play with guaranteed income. Shorters at play here and it's about time Steve Holliday announces something that will burn the Hedgies. Something that will make major play makers abroad buy NG big time crystallising mass losses for the hedgies who are playing the game to get their Christmas bonus!

Knowing how often the market is ignorant and neurotic at the same time, I wouldn't be surprised if the fall in share price is because energy companies' share prices are under pressure because of falling oil prices. I can believe there are many ignorant investors who think NG sells electricity.
