09/3/2011 14:54 | No problem jay083 - feel free to contribute ideas to my value thread: | liarspoker
09/3/2011 14:46 | thanks Liars, much appreciate your opinion. despite the rubbish you have to sift though, I still find bb's a good place to highlight stocks that might be worth looking at. | jay083
09/3/2011 14:23 | Hi jay083 - MWE might be one. They were trading at a large discount to cash and marketable securities but have since purchased their HQ. I haven't done the maths to see if they are still trading below cash. It was a nice trading share for me. Buy on the lows, wait a few months then sell at around 15p. I am willing to tell people about it now as I am restricting myself either to UK or Euro net working cap stocks. MWE is isreali. I was watching SRO and was waiting for it to fall a bit more. So missed out there. Hopefully the next downwards market correction will be quite large and will bring a few more sub cash stocks to the fore. | liarspoker
09/3/2011 14:22 | yes bones, added CAD to my watchlist the day before it moved - didn't get round to reading up on it... | jay083
09/3/2011 14:16 | You can add CAD to the list too... and as for EO. below 10p, well... | bones30
09/3/2011 14:09 | also more recently DXR turned out quite well - almost at a 50% discount to cash at one point. | jay083
09/3/2011 14:08 | Yes - I did IPL too. Took a while, but got there in the end. | bones30
09/3/2011 14:07 | liars, what other similar stocks are you looking at that are currently trading at a discount to cash? had a look a TWE yesterday on your mention - looks interesting - took a small punt (thanks). have previously been in SRO and VLE and briefly TIR but the discount here now looks to be the largest. if you've got the patience these kind of plays normally seem to turn out ok in my experience. did ok out of CRK and IPL and brought SKR because they were trading at/below cash at the time. cheers, Jay | jay083 |
