I might be talking through my hat here but I've always thought there was huge unexploited value in the Liberty name. Its an iconic symbol for upmarket taste - from fashion to furniture - just the sort of thing that can't be reinvented by our Asian brothers.

But lack of cash seems to have prevented the marketing of this in any meaningful way previously.

I personally think that, although any bids would enhance shareholder value in the short term,it would be tragic if this went too cheaply.

But, I havn't had time to look at this in any detail and am speaking a lot from memory. So forgive if not all entirely accurate.

Should get to 75p pretty quick, not a lot of stock about and a buyer.. just a no brainer IMHO.

Chaps, this is worth a read. This is why the chinese want "things" not paper dollars. and part of the reason certain assets will go up. Thats why they are after this imho.

It wouldnt surprise me. Chinese are buying tangible items all over the place they no longer want to invest as much in bonds because of global devaluation. Finished at around the high of the day.... buyers well in control

Just took a closer look at the closing chart - should have bought more today. Price crossing 200 ema, cross of 20 and 50 day ema looming.

Stock Shortage
There are a lot of holders who have MWB at around the £1.00 to £2.00 mark, they are not going to budge at these levels. At about £1.00 then people who came in over the past few months will part withstock or at least some of it. My friend's holding stands him at above £2.00 so he is not going to sell. IMHO...
